We had a great experience with My RDU Airport Shuttle. I found this company on Yelp as a good alternative to Lyft, Uber, and parking at Raleigh Durham International Airport (RDU). For this particular trip, My RDU Airport Shuttle made more sense than parking at the airport after doing the cost calculations. It cost $72 roundtrip, before tip, for My RDU Airport Shuttle to transport my wife and me from our home in Chapel Hill to RDU and back. It was a $33 *flat* fee plus $3 RDU Airport Authority fee each way. I tipped our drivers. I tipped the first driver with credit card. He had a Square card reader attachment for his phone. I tipped the second driver with cash. In comparison, at the time, rides with Lyft (Standard) and Uber (UberX) would have cost about $26 and $38, respectively, to get from Chapel Hill to RDU (one-way) using the set pickup time option. Note Lyft and Uber prices vary. Those just happened to be the prices I pulled at the time. My RDU Airport Shuttle isn't necessarily cheaper than using a ridesharing service, but ridesharing services aren't strictly in the business of transportation to and from RDU. I think there's some value in that with My RDU Airport Shuttle. For each of my rides with My RDU Airport Shuttle, I received detailed reservation confirmation emails and attached PDFs. They included clear instructions with what to expect both when departing RDU and when arriving at RDU. For our outbound flight, our driver, Ike, showed up to our home about 20 minutes early. He called and texted me to let me know he was outside. He told us to take our time. Ike wore a blazer over a Carolina T-shirt and picked us up in his Lincoln Town Car. It was nicer than your Standard Lyft or UberX. For our inbound flight, I received a text from our driver, Dexter, as soon as I turned on my phone after landing at RDU. He welcomed me to Raleigh/Durham and let me know that he had been tracking our flight. Per the company's instructions, we met Dexter at the designated pickup location: RDU "Prearranged Services" Zone 8 (purple sign). Zone 8 is for all airlines except Southwest. The Southwest pickup location is Zone 1. Dexter proudly wore his Raiders gear and picked us up in his minivan. Ike's car was unmarked. He also works for himself, Ike Transportation. Dexter's van was marked with "My RDU Airport Shuttle," phone number and web address. Both Ike and Dexter were professional, pleasant, and excellent drivers who provided smooth, safe, and comfortable rides. Thank you, Ike and Dexter. I would gladly use My RDU Airport Shuttle again. I called Rdu Airport Shuttle with questions regarding their services yesterday and received a quote for round trip in December, after considering the cost I went online and booked the trip that was $15.00 cheaper each way than the cost I was quoted. The site books the trips but doesn't confirm them, after a few hours I received a message that they couldn't accept either of my reservations, although the person I spoke to at first was eager to book the trips over the phone. What kind of online system is that? I used Super Shuttle in Arizona for years and never had any experience like this, lower quality service I guess. read more

It was a wonderful ride. My daughter and I actually got into the wrong vehicle- After the RDU driver sent me a picture of himself and van he was driving- My mistake- He called my phone and told me I was in the wrong vehicle and to have the driver meet him at a gas station. I had already prepaid for my ride and he did not want to see me getting scammed out of more money. That is an honest person! He made the drive enjoyable and safe feeling. My son is a freshman at Elon and I arranged for My RDU to pick him and 3 other students up at RDU on a Sunday. The flight came in 2 hours late due to systemic delays (landing around 8 pm), and My RDU had no drivers available to pick up the 4 students. They had pre-charged my credit card $144 and only refunded me half of that. When a company's sole business is airport shuttles, they better have a plan in place when flights are (inevitably) late. In addition, while I was trying to figure out if the My RDU employee could squeeze in a pickup for us around 8 pm, he hung up on me. I highly, highly recommend you use other car services. I now use Epic and they do not charge me in advance, and they make sure my student gets a ride even if his flight is delayed. I would give zero stars if I could. Update 3 Hours Later: I received a call from My RDU two hours after I posted my review on Google. The employee told me it was "impossible" for anyone to hang up on a customer I assured him that I was hung up on while trying to see if there was a way to salvage my son's first ride back to college from RDU. He also claimed there was no way every flight was delayed that afternoon; I told him that may be so, but there were many flights delayed on October 15th in the Northeast, including the flights of the 4 students who were to receive the ride. The employee also asked if I had the name of the rude employee whom I had spoken with, and I did not. But it became clear during tonight's conversation that he, in fact, was the man I had spoken to several times on October 15th and who hung up on me. I somewhat appreciate the uninspired apology I received at the end of the call, after he challenged me on every point I made in my review and stated my story "did not add up." Still zero stars. I let him know I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau (something I have never done in my life). read more

Recommend checking your email properly with this company. I emailed them twice asking for a round trip to the airport and they sent me a quote for a one way. I assumed it was round trip since that was the request but alas. Yes I admit I should have read the quote more carefully but the quote just mentioned from house address to RDU so I had assumed it was still a two way. Suggestion that they amend it to say ONE WAY so there are no misunderstandings in the future. BTW, due to this snafu we got a minivan Uber from RDU which cost $50 instead of the $100 we paid for the one way through MyRDU shuttle. Save yourself some trouble and go with Uber/Lyft. We requested a car seat which was forgotten (Jon eventually refunded the $10 fee) but I felt like the original intent of ordering a pickup service was completely wasted. read more

We were not very organized and failed to arrange a shuttle pickup in advance (heading to airport for 3 week vacation). We called several taxi and shuttle companies who said they could not help us. I finally called MY RDU Airport Shuttle and they said usually you have to make a reservation in advance...but the dispatcher checked for available drivers and made an exception for us. He took out info and credit card number and even helped arrange a shuttle when we return. Then he said something and he sounded like he really meant it...."we appreciate your business!" Worst car service I've ever had, never felt more unsafe. Driver left engine on while filling up gas tank, was on her phone (both talking & texting) while driving, driving like a maniac weaving in and out of traffic. This is a dangerous driver. He was tailgating us on I-40 near RDU about 1pm. He was so close I could not see his headlights! I waved him around. He did not take the opportunity too pas. So we went on the shoulder. I called him up. He said:"What laws am I breaking?". He said something he was staying in his lane and going the speed limit. I said: "How about tail gating?" Make sure you are 100% positive about your trip before booking. There is a 50% cancellation fee, no matter how far in advance you cancel (5 days advanced notice and still charged the fee). Communication was prompt and polite though, so I am sure the services would have been great- just a shame about the cancellation fee. This was the first time I took the shuttle from the airport. I had an hour drive and my drivers name was Jon. Once I got in the shuttle he asked me where it was from and immediately started lecturing me on current events and black-and-white issues. I felt trapped , very threatened and very uncomfortable. It was a horrific ride and I would never do it again. My husband called to complain and was yelled at and hung up on! Totally terrible service and as someone who owns their own business this was extremely unacceptable. To think I had to listen to this guy spout off for over an hour and I paid for it! After shuttle didn't arrived, serval calls with no answer, some one finally called back. 3 hours after scheduled pickup time. Although there is nothing on their website that indicates that they have a cancellation policy, after I booked, but needed to cancel with more than 24 hours notice, was I advised that they have a 48 hour cancellation policy and they refused to refund my money. My experience is the same as Nicole M. They send an email with a subject line saying Conf#xxxxx ... However, this is not a confirmation but rather a soft deception to influence customer from looking elsewhere. After no vehicle arrived on the selected time I called and left a message. Finally I received a callback to say that I would have received a 2nd email if My RDU was going to provide me transportation and I was told that I did not get the 2nd email because I had submitted my request after midnight. Well, the email I did receive from My RDU came at 9:57pm, well before midnight ... My complaints are (1) Don't label the 1st email as a confirmation if it is not a confirmation ... Just label it we have received your request and (2) DON'T LIE to cover your poor business practices. If you cannot provide a service, proactively inform the client. We should not have to wait or guess as to what My RDU is going to do. You can conclude from this review that I will not be waiting or guessing again. read more
