I am/was a passport member the website states that all members receive 20% off spa services. I was just told by the little girl, Lisa, that a massage was not a spa service. And since I missed the appointment I was being charged the full amount.....what.....furthermore when I called to dispute the charges she begin to raise her for because I told her she was not authorized to charge my card. Called for an appt for a laser tattoo removal on 02/19/2014 at 11 am in Forney. Arrived and gave the business a once over. Entrance was clean and neat. Receptionist was friendly and took care of me quickly. Tattoo tech called me in and the appt was on time without being made to wait. I had more pain than I expected and the tech helped me thru it and took her time to apply the numbing cream. This did delay the procedure, but was very helpful and appreciated. The procedure took about 15-20 minutes and was explained thoroughly and to my satisfaction. While it was being done, I looked all over the back room and found it to be clean and comfortable. The tech used gloves, sterile equipment for after care and followed the proper technique. I have had a total of three previous tattoo removals from a Dermatologist so I knew what to look for. I was very satisfied from what I saw and experienced. I am a Registered Nurse with 16 years of experience and would have ran if anything wasn't perfect. I was impressed by their demeanor and patience. I will definitely use their services again and would recommend them. read more

I have been back and forth on leaving this review, and decided it is needed to protect other consumers. I was a returning client, however my first experience with the owner, Chrissy. The owner of this spa is unprofessional. She did not provide the service and did not refund the prepaid amount. I walked in without a mask, and the way she handled it was out of line. I had no problem putting on a mask, but did have a problem with the way she spoke to me. I told her I would leave, and I would like a refund. She said "No Refunds". The CRAZY thing about all of this??? For a woman that is so concerned about COVID, she proceeded to follow me to my car, stand less than 6 ft., drop her mask below her nose and mouth to justify her actions. If she was truly concerned about COVID-19, then why did she remove her mask? I share this because this is unprofessional, immoral, and theft. Please know, I agree it is her small business, and she had the right to ask me to put on a mask. I do not disagree. Who wants to do business with a Dumpster Fire??? I went in to get myself all prettied up for my date with this really cute guy! They did a great job on my mud mask and doing my eye brows. I wanted to have my bikini line done but I didn't have time and I'm a bit of a pansy when it comes to waxing! But I did take time for a deep tissue massage. There is nothing more relaxing than a strong mans hands rubbing out all that tension while I listen to some classical music! I absolutely loved my first session of lazer Hair removal. I purchased full leg, underarm, and Brazilian. The manager Chrissy was very patient and explained thoroughly. I had clear expectations and wasn't surprised by the procedure. I found that the laser was similar to a hot stone massage. I could have fallen asleep if I wanted to. In the areas that the hair was the coarser, it was a slight pinch but it was fleeting. The facility was clean and easily located. Carmen and Lisa were both the technicians that worked on me and they were equally fantastic. I will be even happier when the open up their Rockwall location. I am going to purchase other LHR packages because of my excellent experience. read more

I initially wrote an amazing review on their facebook website because I was very pleased with the initial session I had. Last weekend I had a session but asked not to be charged because I was admitted to the hospital for heart issues. Not only was the associate that called me rude, she went down my attendance list and firstly if there was an issue with attendance they could've pulled me aside and spoke with me and we could've come to an agreement. However, I was hospitalized, sent them proof of my paperwork, and STILL the manager Ms. Stinson refused to work with me and also said she would charge my card. I understanding having a 48 hour cancellation policy but in cases of hospitalization and proof you'd think these people have compassion. I am a disabled veteran with several medical conditions. Instead of accusing me of missing an appointment or "intentionally being late and disrespecting your technicians time" perhaps have compassion and realize people have things going on. Furthermore, I felt very disrespected by the managers condescending approach and lack of following up with me by phone but instead messaging me on Facebook messenger, totally unprofessional. In a world where we have war going on, a pandemic, economic issues, and a plethora of other things, you'd think the owners was compassionate towards peoples health concerns. I don't plan to be back and I'll be making financial arrangements to go elsewhere and cancel my passport. I do not recommend this place. It isn't the technicians, it's the awful leadership, and let me tell you the fish rots from the head. read more

Worst customer service by the owner, herself, that I have EVER experienced in my entire life. She is extremely unprofessional and fails to honor certain Groupon offers, even after you've made the purchase and have appointments scheduled. You can read further reviews that state the same exact complaint by others. She will lie to you about "why" she is canceling your appointment last minute and show no regard to the disrespect, whatsoever. To make matters worse, she is not only extremely RUDE but has even hung up on me in the middle of a conversation and called me a liar when I tried to explain my situation & tell her I was having a reaction to a treatment done with her spa. I have seen her treat her staff AND customers as if they were beneath her on multiple occasions. The ownership is the ONLY thing wrong with this spa boutique. If it got some new ownership, it would run beautifully with the current staff. Thankfully, just about everyone there is self-contracted. Until then though, I strongly recommend finding another place to spend your money. My husband, myself and my son have had multiple services done at My Spa over the years and the sole reason we continued to go back was only due to the staff. Unfortunately, Im sad to say that I regret ever doing so now though after the way the owner has treated me, my family, her customers and her staff. Please, please do not invest any money into this undeserving owner of business. Please take a minute to see the photos below of the painful aftermath from the treatments I had done at My Spa Boutique. This is even after a WEEK had passed by. Ultimately, I ended up having to go to the doctor and see a Dermatologist. I had to take oral antibiotics and use a steroid cream for 14 days! I have been to both locations 3 times now. I soooo love the Richardson location! The Forney location is very nice...but the location on Twilight Trail is a hidden gem! I have been so happy with the services, and I appreciate that Nikki is conservative in her approach to taking care of my skin. Very relaxing environment and easy going. Do not get a gift card from them! The customer service at least at the one in Forney is awful. I had to cancel an appt due to a sick child and my gift card was still charged by them without me knowing. I went to use the gift card last week which was not run prior to my massage and ended up having to pay because they said their was no money on the gift card. My wife and I were new to the area and we were looking for a decent place for her to have her hair cut and colored, my wife did some research and found that My Spa & Boutique were reputable, so she phoned up and booked to have her hair cut and colored my Meghan. On the day of the visit my wife sat in the chair as normal whilst Meghan put on the nylon cape and proceeded to cut and color my wife's hair, after she finished my wife was not looking at her shirt she was looking in the mirror at her hair which she liked, however after we got home and my wife changed her clothes she noticed 3 stain marks on her new shirt, she decided to leave it and mark it up to experience as the shirt was not an very expensive one, but still a loss of $55 as the stains were permanent. Picture of Shirt I asked her what she has done about contacting the owner of the Spa and she said that she was annoyed so she will send an email, she sent the first email that came back because their email system was not able to receive any more emails, so she waited a week and tried again, this time it went through. However even after being received no response was ever received, so when I asked my wife what she put in the email, she told me that she just wanted to tell them about the issue so that they can make sure that it does not happen to anyone else.. She even said in the email that she would still use them again and was not seeking compensation.... Bur because of the lack of communication from the owner of the My Spa in Forney, my wife's opinion changed, she said that the owner obviously does not care about her customers enough to reply, so that she was NEVER going to use them again, she will now look for another more reputable hairdresser. When i heard this I was shocked that a owner of a small business in a small city like Forney would try and alienate any customer, especially when the hair cut & Color cost $120 without the tip, my wife would have used them at least every two months, so they have lost out on $720 per year ongoing. So as a fellow local business owner, I thought I would make the owner aware of this issue and explain to them that they should know the reason why they have lost a customer and not for my wife just to never use them again as that does not help anyone. Anyway as expected, my email also fell on deaf ears, as I did not get a reply either, my wife was only looking for recognition of the problem and maybe an apology, but due to the total lack of care about customers or customer care by Chrissy Adams the owner of the My Spa business, she has now lost a customer forever and my wife's bad experience will be spread locally and via this website so that others get the opportunity to find out beforehand what to expect if they have an issue with any of the services they perform... Complaints fall on deaf ears. As a member of the local chamber of commerce you can rest assured that I will not have anything good to say about this Spa or the owner. I believe her husband runs another business that offers a business directory for Forney, I just hope he can try and drum some business sense into his wife as I am sure he runs his business in a professional manner. read more

I am from Michigan and was visiting family in Texas. I had hoped to get my first Brazillion wax from someone a family member went to, however that person was not available. I found My Spa & Boutique online. Based on my cousin's experience I was very nervous. Chrissy could not have been nicer and the actual process was not nearly as frightening as I feared. I had some follow up questions and received a very prompt response. I only wish I didn't live out of state. I would love to go back for all my future appointments. Look at the number of reviews done by these 'positive customers'. Obviously, the spa has hired reviewers to draw attention away from complaints. I scheduled an appointment and the technician was a no show. Went to reschedule and after the no show, finally got another appointment, the owner texted me that she wouldn't accept my groupon, or even provide a credit for the value of the groupon towards another service. Thankfully, after a second call, Groupon did agree to refund my purchase because I asked them to investigate the number of previous complaints about this spa. You can get the same quality of service for the same price at other spas who value customers and treat them likewise. read more

I had the new HydraFacial done and was so impressed with Chrissy the owner of My Spa Boutique. I initially called them about getting an IPL photofacial and was assessed over the phone by Chrissy who gave me really good advice for delaying that until I would be sure to be out of the sun for a while. She also let me know about the newest and popular HydraFacial that has recently hit the market place. I really appreciated her honesty and professionalism over the phone. I was a bit hesitant to do business with this spa after reading a bad review; but knowing that there are always 2 sides to every story coupled with our phone conversation, I decided to give them a try and I'm so thankful I did. She did an awesome job and my skin looks so much brighter and younger after only one treatment. I'm coming back to try some of their other services. Be very careful about buying Groupons for this spa. Their advertisement on Groupon is false. No where does it say "new customers only" or any indication that you can only use one Groupon, period. It does say "only one per visit" which leads me to believe that I can use another one on subsequent visits. I bought three separate offerings and they refused to accept the last two I purchased. So I am out $138. Groupon would not give me a refund. I will never recommend this spa for these reasons. They need to correct the wording on the Groupon page or honor the separate purchases made. read more

I found My Spa Forney on groupon and have now been at least 5 times in 4 months. Chrissy the owner is so engaging and fun to talk with I always enjoy our conversations. Their prices are reasonable and she even tried to talk me out of a treatment she thought I didn't need (which makes me feel like she cares about what's best for the customer). I've only gone for lasers and a peel so I'm not able to comment on other services, but I'm sure they don't disappoint. read more
