Re: Response from the owner At no point did I mention anything in my review about needing a different size unit. Consolidating into a smaller unit is not an option. You are missing the point ... the point is that when I signed up for $159.99/month there was no discussion at the initial meeting to say 'BTW ... there will be increases 6 months in and every year after'. This should be clearly indicated on your website (like your free month advertising) and should be a conversation up front. File privacy and BBB complaints for all collected personal information by U-Haul they then misuse with tacky 3rd party debt collection efforts, which violates privacy law standards. I went to My Storage the beginning of the year and updated my visa debit and all my contact…read moreinformation. In October I tried to go to my unit; I had not been there in about two months. I could not get through the gate and was told to call in. I called in to find that they were not charging the proper updated card and therefor the unit had not been paid for, for some time. I was then told that the unit was going up for auction and that if I wanted it I had to pay what was owed plus penalty fees. I stated I should not have to pay the fees and cannot pay in full for the unit that day but could do half and the other half in two weeks. They agreed to the payment arrangements but stated they could do nothing about the fees. I was upset about paying the fees as the error was on the companies end not mine. But I eventually let it go and we finished the call after the first payment cleared. I received a call about an hour later from another employee. She stated that the unit had already been auctioned and sold. She continued to state if I wanted it that I had to pay in full that day. I was now as expected more upset. I then again explained the whole situation with the card and contact information not being correct. I was then told by the employee that they don't save visa debit cards on file (days later I was told on different call with a different customer service employee they do save visa debit cards on file!?). After being told about the card not saving the employee stated that the contact information they have is very much correct and I still have my old number. Basically calling me a liar but not stating the actual words. I tried to explain how I haven't had that number since last December and how phone companies recycle numbers. The employee stated that she herself called the phone and the person on the voicemail is very much me. Confused and a bit pissed off as I was just called a liar on top of the whole ordeal I listened to the employee then state how I was to blame as I didn't do my due diligence. I was told I should have been checking my account to ensure they took their payment out every month. There are only a few bills i actually ensure come out each month the rest I expect that they will with no issues and if there is an issue I would be contacted. I asked the employee to check the cameras to prove I went in and updated my info. I was told to give the exact date; which I couldn't remember. I did not expect that date to be so important and cannot remember the exact dates in which I do everything. I paid the money as I wanted and needed my belongings and was quite upset after the situation. I have never dealt with a company like this and do not want anyone to go through what I have. I was told different things multiple times by employees; there isn't consistent information given by this company. I sent multiple emails to talk to upper management, about the issue. I never got a word back on any form about that matter. The only other times they called after was to state they were going to charge me an extra charge for a new lock and to also try to get that money for the lock. Had my information been updated correctly and been told the accurate information the payments would have never stopped and my lock would have never been cut. Would not recommend even to someone I dislike.

In the end we just had to throw everything out. They did everything they could to angle it that it was our fault saying "maybe we moved the mice into the container". In the end they wouldn't even do so much as offer as a discount on what we paid to rent the storage container from them. The staff Doug and Todd, introduced themselves immediately giving you the feeling that these guys knew their business. Proceeded to give a tour of each room and what was to be loaded. Once again they provided necessary insurances that the truck would carry everything. Then they brought their tools in, one person started to wrap all furniture in protective blankets, the second person started loading boxes. They loaded that truck to the rear door and included everything. They demonstrated not only strenght but, terrific planning skills. Further demonstrating that they are professionals and proud of their skills. They knew customer service giving myself a compliment about taking the bed apart. Upon arrival at the delivery destination again toured the building and planning the offload. During this process they even helped me offload a large Bar g que from my pickup. Each piece was placed where we asked and no damage to any pieces or the walls. Seniors Relocation Service provided and excellent moving experience and the price was appropriate. Six hours and everything was moved safetly and professionally. I strongly would recommend this company.
