Be very wary of anything these guys say. This is a poorly run business that likes to point fingers…read moreat their customers. The suggestion that they would seek to bring extra support by involving the district manager is a farce. At the time i had a locker there, there were breakins to other lockers, and i learned that I was suspect because i had been seen on multiple cameras walking around talking on my cell phone. I was contacted by this district manager who from the start was rude and abrasive while I tried explaining that poor cell signal strength caused me to move about in attempt to gain better signal. He said he was not convinced and would be reviewing the recorded images and from then on I could only access my locker during office hours despite that i pay for and they advertise 24 hour access. Next time I tried to use my code to enter the facility, it would not work. The person in the office who helped fix the problem, must have been instructed to call the police, as I had only been jn the facility for about 10 minutes before being rather startled by Metro Police officers arriving and arresting me as I was collecting a few things I wanted to bring home. As I sat in the police station interrogation room an officer informed me that the police were examining my locker contents to a list of stolen items from other lockers. One of the items I was asked about was a 46 inch Panasonic LCD TV which I said that was basically brand new and in the box and that i had the receipt for. Unsatisfied with my explanation, the officer suggested that i stole the receipt as well. Fast forward a year later and my criminal court case is finally heard but not before a receive a registered letter from district manager informing me that I had 10 days to vacate unit and I was not allowed to enter facility and if i was found in the facility I would be arrested again, this time for criminal trespass. I paid a moving company $2100 to recover my possessions. They packed and transported everything on my behalf At the trial in which I had been accused of theft, theft over $5000, and possession of stolen property, the items, mostly electronics, I was accused of taking were not the same as the items seized from my locker. A Sony receiver from my locker was not in fact the missing Sony surround sound receiver, as affirmed by the owner of the missing item, in his testimony during the trial. Not a single item that police seized was in fact not belonging to me. Remember the Panasonic LCD TV for which I supposedly stole the receipt for as well. My girlfriend had the receipt, which clearly indicated the number of card used in a debit transaction matched perfectly with the TD/CT debit card attached to the bank account belonging to my girlfriend and myself, After rendering a not guilty finding and explaining why, the judge admonished the crown attorney for having allowed the case to get to trial. So even though I never get an apology, its all good in the end, right? Not exactly, Storage Mart and Access Storage turns out are the same company, and years after the trial I again have storage unit but with another company, and out of the blue I receive a registered letter demanding that my locker contents be removed in 3 days. Signature at bottom on page, same district manager who brought the false charges in the first place. Go on Storage Whatever you want to call yourselves this week, respond to my negitive review but if you claim this never happened or that I am lying, i would be thrilled to have to get a copy of the trial transcribed in order to help aid the defamation suit i would seek against you. Posting it here would just be a bonus.

My issue was not with the moving truck, the issue here is the customer service when returned on a…read moregas gauge location and the extra gas charge. When I picked up the truck the gas gauge appeared to be at half and the paperwork gas area highlighted indicated to be the same. So when I returned the truck I made sure I added what I used and the gauge was in the same location, at the half point. Unfortunately for me when I returned the truck I was changed an extra $18.37 for gas because they said it was at the 9/16 mark not the 1/2. This was so small of a discrepancy on the gauge and is so minuscule you would have thought for customer service they would have just let it go or said something to me. Nope, nothing just changed my card. They don't pay for the gas anyway, the customer does. So because of this I rate 2 stars. I have rented many U-Haul vehicles in Southwestern, Ontario and this is the first real customer service issue I have had. Maybe I have been lucky! If Susan and Michael the Customer Advocacy Agents at Stockyard's want to disappoint a customer over a fuel gauge mark discrepancy, a litre of gas and over charge me an extra $18.37 over and above they need customer service training as soon as possible. Just felt ripped off and not treaded restfully over this small gas gauge issue. So make sure you read and understand your bill before you approve payment or it will cost you! After receiving the renting confirmation email I called them, making sure I was so good to go. They told me I was all set and just to come in at least 30 min before closing on my moving day. We went first thing in the morning, and were told that they didn't have the storage unit I reserved. No explanation, no help. They said they wouldn't help because "their is nothing we can do", was their exact words. It didn't make sense considering they had other units available and it was THEIR mistake (my booking was legit and they could see it), they should have been able to somehow do something to honor our rental agreement. But true to their words, THEY DIDN'T HELP AT ALL! Basically didn't give a s**t, told us we could just pay for the next size up (65$+tax for a 1 foot difference to my booking?! WTH) And that's it, no others options, no solution. No courtesy discount on the next available size for THEIR mistake, no apologies. It was terrible, I was exhausted and baffled, got to be the worst customer service we ever had. The staff called the manager, who refused to help! The manager was actually so unprofessional and told the staff to charge us full price or just ignore us and get us out! So after one hour without trying to fix their mistake, they just completely ignored us and started serving other people with us still sitting there in shock. We are now left on moving day, due to leave the country in few days, and now with no storage to move to! How is that even possible U haul?! Absolutely shameful

It will return to ground - This is a big one. ONLINE BILLING!! I can't express how much I love this! Cons - Only 3 loading bays - No lights inside the units Long version ---------------- I am a two time returning customer. The first time around I noticed how clean the facility was and of course being a new building was a bonus. Andrea since day 1 opening our account has been very accommodating. I left the first time for access to a facility closer to home. Though it was a drive up unit, there was far less security/surveillance and if you're anything like me, a lack of a sense of security really affects how you sleep at night with your belongings in a storage unit. As of December 2017 after being at the unit closer to home literally walking distance to my door I decided to move back to Smart Stop Oakville. Maybe it's the sense of security, but this location feels far more secure to store my stuff. As I treat this as an extension of my home like a garage, that is a incredibly important for me to trust as I have trust issues. Realistically speaking my only 2 complaints with this location is that it only has 3 loading bays and no light in my unit, but the no light is more a frustration than a complaint after getting used to a light in my drive up unit. Friendly staff, realistic pricing that isn't trying to gouge customers and carts usually always available when moving stuff in or out. I am sadly someone who has expierence with almost every location in Oakville and Mississauga. I could list pros and cons at just about every location, but this location is the first in a very long time that I honestly don't worry as much about my unit. I'd highly recommend this storage facility if you're looking for somewhere to trust to store your belongings. This review is a bit different. I came here to make a donation to The Period Purse. This DYMON is a drop-off for this charity that is dedicated to menstrual equity. It provides free period products from community partners and donations. It also has education programs across Canada. I was at Sansotei Ramen and used a single stall washroom before I headed to shop at Square One. I noticed free sanitary pads and tampons for periods in the washroom. I thought that it was a thoughtful gesture. We have food banks to support those who are having a tough time with groceries, especially as their prices continue to increase. What about folks who can't afford to get period products? I have been fortunate that I have not struggled in this area, but there are folks that have who could use a break. I did a search and found The Period Purse. Perfect! You have the option to donate to this charity. You get a tax receipt if your donation is at least $25. You can also donate period products. I like that it accepts open boxes of disposable pads and tampons, as well as new, unopened reusable products. After work a couple of Wednesdays ago, I drove over to DYMON. I was heading eastbound along The Queensway. DYMON is on the left, but it's an interesting setup to make a left turn. I basically had to pass by DYMON because there's a barricade as you go up the overpass and down it. I made a u-turn at Kipling Avenue and then turned right onto Vansco Road. There's a RUDY burger joint before you turn right, which is across from DYMON. There's an IKEA across The Queensway from both DYMON and RUDY. In other words, YOU HAVE STORES THAT USE ALL CAPITAL LETTERS IN THEIR NAMES IN THIS AREA. How coincidental is that commonality? I found a parking spot in front of the main doors. I backed into a spot and headed over there. I was a bit shocked to find that DYMON has kitchen and storage accessories. I felt like I was in a Winners store, but a fancier version of it. I was definitely not in a U-Haul store. The floors were shiny and spotless. It was bright and inviting. It was clean. I saw a few sales. It was cool. I was heading over to Guest Services when a female staffer was flagging me by saying hi behind me. She asked if I needed any help. I said that I was dropping off a donation for The Period Purse. She nodded and said that I'd be hitting Guest Services ahead and to my right. She frankly startled me. I was heading in the right direction. I will say that she was trying to be helpful, but I felt like she was chasing me down as I was walking. I ended up in a spacious area. There was a FedEx vehicle that pulled into this area. There were a handful of vehicles. If you have a storage unit, you can drive into this area to load and unload your stuff. I saw dollies to help out. I also saw mailboxes that you can rent. All services in this area are 24 hours. I like that you don't have to deal with weather if you are moving your goods in and out of your storage area. You drive into this area that keeps you and your vehicle dry and safe. I also saw a wine cellar area. You can house your wine here. It apparently has a bunch of controls, from humidity to lighting, to ensure that you wine collection is in pristine condition. It was a fascinating visit! I learned so much dropping off a donation to a cause that had nothing to do with storage or moving. At Guest Services, a nice man said hi and asked if I had a donation in my paper bag with handles. I did. He happily took it from me. I was pleased that I did my part. I don't have the need to rent a storage unit. It was nice to see a more modern approach here. I last visited a U-Haul store in Winnipeg eons ago when I moved from Rochester, MN to the city. That store was never as nice and appealing as this DYMON. (149)

This forces the unit owners to constantly move vehicles even during loading and unloading as the parked vehicles block any ability to drive out of the site. The 20' x 10' units are actually 17' x 9'. The roll top door and inside columns take up the other space. The office staff tried to deny the current discounts and sale prices of the units. CALL the 1-800- number and work with the CORPORATE sales center they are VERY honest and will work to insure you receive the BEST and LOWEST prices available at the time.
