my complaint about MYER customer service in Sydney city ( level 5 customer service her name is Srija. ) I was bringing a manufacturing faulty kettle ( I bought it last year October, it actually broken a few months ago, because I went overseas. That's why I had to wait for today to visit your store) to your store and wanted to buy a new one.I went to level 5 customer service part and explained to your staff and explained why I am here. After 15 mins, the staff helped solved my problem and planned to authorise the refund for me. Suddenly, a lady was very rude, interrupted and jumped into the process. Her name is Srija ( she said this is her name). She asked the staff to leave and she said she will help me. I said there is no need to change someone else since it almost done. The she started ask me again I need to your receipt, why you are here, what is the kettle's problem, which part is broken, why do you think the kettle could not be used. I told her I had already said to the staff previously. She said : it doesn't matter I still need ask you again. I was very upset and angry. Why I have to explain it again since the staff helped me already. I asked her what is your name. Are you the manager here? She said : I am the team leader. I said : oh, okay. What is your name. Why you didn't wear your name badge . She replied: "it's not your business". I told her that I wanted to speak to your manager. She said the manager is not working. I told her that I will complain about your service. She said: go ahead. I was holding a new kettle and wanted to purchase it. Since she delivered the super bad service I left your store. She told me that her name is Srija. And the position is the team leader. I am very disappointed at your store. Even though I was holding the kettle wanted to buy, I had to leave it and buy one somewhere else. She doesn't even know how to serve the customer correctly. Myer is an Australian department store chain that is comparable to Macy's in the United States and Hudson's Bay (The Bay) in Canada. The product offerings here fall into the mid-priced to slightly upscale category. This location in the Sydney CBD at Westfield Sydney is the flagship Sydney store of this chain. I came in to peruse the department store on a rainy day. If you are coming from Queen Victoria Building, The Galeries or Town Hall Station, it is possible to reach the store using the underground mall walkways in Sydney CBD rather than walking on surface streets. Just look at the mall direction signs to guide you to Myer. There are multiple levels of shopping here. Escalators seem to be the easiest way to go up, albeit it gets more inconvenient the higher you go. Visited men's apparel which is on two levels as sports apparel and underwear are on a different floor. I thought the prices were comparable to Canadian clothing stores that I have visited. That is to say that prices seemed higher than in the US, though there were some decent finds. If you do decide to buy clothes, make sure to look up size conversions as the ones in the US are different in Australia. Trying on clothes for fit is okay for regular clothes. But if you are buying something like underwear, this is more important as you won't be able to try them on. Noticed the underwear in Australia uses waist sizes in centimeters for sizing purposes which is different from the US in which you can figure out the correct pair by the pants size (30-32-34-etc). Due to its large product selection, Myer is worth visiting if you are shopping in the Sydney CBD. Though if you are not Australian, make sure to review size conversion charts online to find out what your correct size is in Australia before you buy any clothing. read more

What a great department store! This place was huge and had a great selection of items for everyone. Specific to the men's section, there was a great variety in terms of clothing: whether casual, dressy or sporty there was something for everyone, ranging from mid-level to high-end. I interacted with a few sales associates and they were all friendly and knowledgeable about the items being sold. The store is well-organized and well-staffed. read more

It's pretty good, items there are pretty expensive, but quality matters over price- and the staff are helpful as well! Also what is great about the store is that it has a great range of clothing, jewellery and watches etc. (as well as other items that suit your needs/wants. What I can say is that it's definitely a lot better and more upmarket than New Zealand's Smith & Caughey's and clothing for everyone of all ages. On a note, it can get pretty crowded especially during Christmas time (or prior to Christmas rather) so plan your trip to the store carefully. And also do note that it has a lot of levels and that the store is VERY big, so do make sure you know your way around the store and parents should supervise their kids especially during peak hours and Christmas times. This is the $45 lukewarm, cinnamon, slightly lumpy oatmeal of the department store world. It satisfies one's appetite in the most basic of ways. The most exciting things I've seen are an ethnic mannequin and the usual drag queen stage show makeup that is every MAC counter on planet earth. The service is the most lacking of all the Myer shops I've visited and some staff are very blatant snobs. You'd think they were customers at Hermes, not sales clerks at frickin Myer. If that apple-shaped customer asks for that bodycon minidress in all the colours, take your polyester-wearing self to the back and give her what she asked for without sass or eye calisthenics. And throw in a compliment about how she looks like Kardashian or whoever the kids are into these days. You are NOT her friend, fashion police nor do you host "what not to wear" . She didn't ask for your thoughts, opinions or judgement. Also, that there was no makeup brush cleaner in the cosmetics area is a concern. I was told to use a dirty brush or my fingers. Every time I come here I feel like I'm somehow inconveniencing the staff by asking a question or really for help with anything. Last weekend we stood at the register (another group was waiting in front of us) ready to purchase something while 2+ floor staff members walked by, looked at us, and then moved on. The register wasn't closed, so I don't know what was going on. Also, after we had stood there and waited for someone to show up... there was no apology, no recognition that we had been ignored. This was one example, but hasn't been an isolated incident for me. I have stood at the dressing room queue while 4+ staff talked amongst themselves before I finally had to interrupt and ask if I could have a room. Ends rant. So overall, very poor customer service and a very ordinary department store. There aren't really many better options I can recommend in the CBD. My advice would be... stick to online shopping and save yourself a trip when possible. read more

My favourite place to shop in the CBD. Even though pricing is not competitive, I enjoy shopping here every time. (well, nothing is in Australia, you are always better off shopping online) The ground floor of Myer where all the cosmetics are is always a MADHOUSE. It is really hard not to be bumped into while you are looking at make up. You will enjoy the shopping experience more on the upper floors. More room to breathe :) Can be difficult to find a staff if you have a question but once again, I guess you can always go to the cash register unless there is a line. Review for the online service, which is terrible. Ordered two weeks ago, no tracking available. The tracker kept giving me the response, "no tracking available, check back in 10 minutes". That was the message for 2 weeks. There is no email address available for customer service, or delivery questions or order cancellation. So I called the 13MEYER telephone number today. Waited on hold 30 minutes for pick up. Turns out the item wasn't in stock when I placed my order. Offered refund. Thing is, in addition to the poor customer service offer by the online service experience, if I had not had called them today, would they just never contacted me to say they had no stock? I'm very pleased with the quality of clothing and service that was provided to me during my stay in Sydney. I needed a bathing suit and went in to find something. While there, my husband found a few things too! I had a wonderful lady helping me out made sure that I had what I needed. They have many good designers to choose from and its very well laid out. Agree. Myer on George Street is a terrific department store. It's hip and trendy. I am more a David Jones lover, yet Myer is still great, and the Myer One loyalty program is worth joining. It would be great if any unused credit on your Myer One voucher can go to charity. Came here for some bath salts, normally $20, they were half price yesterday. I am really happy with them. That was a great deal. I also recently received an invitation in the mail to attend their stocktake sale preview this coming Tuesday night (as at the time of writing this). Myer saved the day when I had to make a last minute dash for my nieces birthday present last Thursday night too. With it, I received my complimentary copy of Emporium magazine, and from the fashion pages of this magazine, I have my eye on a pretty dress that is worth splashing out $100 for. It will be nice if this dress is on sale this Tuesday night. My pennies are saved. read more

I use to work in this store till now. Left because couldn't face lying to customers about service and poor management all over the store. Some customers use to go out with smile and satisfying they got service n product they needed it. Some customers use to get ignored by customer service ppl n called really bad names. The Ipad order is usually late up to 3 weeks not 7 days what we use to tell customer. I have visited a lot of Myer and David Jones stores across Australia. I have also visited many American department stores such as Macy's, Bloomingdales and Saks on 5th. These American department stores not only have great stock but excellent customer service. Myer, whilst having a great selection of clothing in multiple sizes and colours, doesn't know how to deliver customer service or train their staff. Often there will be staff hanging around talking to each other near the cash register, refusing to offer any form of customer service or interest in their customers. read more

Shocking is about the most generous word I can use....Ordered an item online. Got confirmation and advised would get email and SMS when dispatched. Money taken from account moment order placed. Then nothing - followed up on a number of occasions - only way in writing seems to be by facebook messenger, eventually I get someone who might know what is happening who tells me they don't have the item. This is 11 days after placing the order! So now waiting for a refund. I would have bought at David Jones when they had it had I known how shambolic Myer are. If you don't have something, don't sell it, it really is very simple. Will NEVER order from these guys again and will avoid their store now too. Trust - lost! read more

There are clothing departments for men, women and children, electrical goods, fragrance and cosmetics, luggage etc and at christmas have fantastic christmas shop with great decorations and gifts. read more

Came here to look for a pair of jeans 34x30 size. They don't have any. Almost all of the jeans are 32 inches length. While I understand that it is cheaper to have all jeans 32 inches in length the customer needs to pay to tailor them at their own expense unless they are 6 ft 2 inches tall. I expected a better range of sizes as Myer is supposed to be a more upmarket store and the prices are higher. read more
