On May 12, 2026, our production team traveled to his location. Although Pepper failed to provide the agreed-upon payment at the start of the day, our team worked a full day in good faith--interviewing Pepper and shooting b-roll to promote his business on our show. Pepper promised he would pay later that afternoon, but instead left the shoot without honoring his agreement. It has now been over a month, and Pepper still owes a remaining balance of $3,750. We have afforded Pepper every opportunity to resolve this, even offering a flexible installment plan to clear his balance. Unfortunately, his communication has been highly evasive; while he hasn't dodged every single attempt, he has ignored the vast majority of our phone calls, text messages, and emails. Our original goal was to support Malibu Junk and help Pepper attract new clients. Instead, we have been met with unprofessionalism and a direct breach of contract. We urge other businesses and contractors to exercise extreme caution, as doing business with Pepper may lead to a financial loss.
