Ernesto and Hector came exactly when they estimated they would and assessed a garage, driveway and basement filled with decades of unfinished projects and the supplies that come with that. Ernesto called for backup and plus two more friendly guys, the crew cleared the area in about 5 hours, into two full trucks. At the end, the basement was spotless apart from some boxes with potentially saleable items that they uncovered and identified plus items I designated as keepers. Great work and eye to detail from Junk Junk. At the final walkthrough I felt like I was walking through a new basement and garage. The pricing was fair and I plan to hire them for a final sweep of the remainder of the property. Very easy to schedule, they quoted a competitive price to remove a box springs. I explained the would have to lower it from a 2nd floor bedroom balcony since the staircase was curvy and too small to bring down a large inflexible boxspring. Demolition of my kitchen was the first step of my remodel - David at Junk Junk Los Angeles set a high bar for my other subcontractors. He was quick to come out for a bid, responsive to phone calls and text messages throughout the process and understanding and adaptable to a changing timeline. When demo day came, Junk Junk LA showed up right on time and worked quickly and efficiently. They carefully wrapped up and moved the appliances we were keeping and helped me set up a temporary kitchen in the garage. They also protected our wood floors and the rest of our home while doing the job. Rather than carrying the cabinets, tiles and light fixtures through my home to dispose, they tossed most of it outside the window into the truck, which resulted in a cleaner demoltion and the job went by even faster than expected. The floor tile was carefully removed and our flooring was installed on top of it the next day. The backsplash came off in chunks and did quite a bit of damage to the drywall, but is that normal? I have no idea. In the end, Junk Junk Los Angeles was a pleasure to work with and quite affordable. I will definitely be calling them again when we remodel the bathrooms. Thanks, David! read more
