Ace is great because of being able to get all kinds of things and also 40¢ things that you would have to special order for pick up and wait 3+ weeks until they get here. Also at competent people working for things like knowing where things are and matching paint. This Ace is more of a practical bare bones Ace. No outdoor area and not much of a garden section. Just basics and hardware with minimal gag gifts and snacks. Anyway, I was able to get everything I needed for a bunch of repairs in about 20 minutes and everything was clean and organized and the lady working here knew where everything was so it was easy to get things fast.

So I felt like my time had been wasted and I had to start all over. So I called and demanded to speak to a manager. I spoke with Chuck, a manager. I explained to him what had happened (I moreso was probably yelling because I was irritated). He listened, was calm, and asked me to hold so he could figure out what happened. He came back a few minutes later, explained the error on their part (a new employee had accidentally cancelled my order) and offered to make it right. He told me a girl named Rocky would call me in a few minutes to ensure everything in my order was pulled and correct. So Rocky (a girl) called a few minutes later. She was also nice and apologetic. She ensured my order was right. They were out of some things (we are in the middle of a pandemic and their online orders are crazy right now so that's understandable). She offered me more than adequate substitutions for the items that were out of stock (some were actually upgrades) and I am more than satisfied. Let's be honest- stores are going to mess up. Mistakes happen. But I think how they respond to their mistakes is what really matters. This store excels at this. They always apologize when they are wrong and they go above and beyond to fix it. This is actually my second positive experience with this store (we once ordered a dishwasher that was supposed to be in stock but would actually take 3 weeks to come in... I was NOT waiting 3 weeks, so they upgraded me to a nicer dishwasher that was available the next day. My experiences at Home Depot are NEVER that good and I think it's what makes Lowes (at least this store) better, in my opinion.

Instead of having too wait 3 weeks to have our equipment picked up, serviced and returned she worked magic and we walked out with a new (similar) model piece of equipment. Pretty sure because she took the time to talk to us and discovered the amount of work I had piled up and knew the predicament I was in at the time. She even agreed and arranged to have my new equipment tested by a tech before we left the store to ensure it worked properly. Even the rest of the staff was nothing short of great making us feel right at home. Everyone was very polite, friendly and eager to assist us and other customers in the store with whatever they needed. No high pressure, no feeling unwelcomed or like we were alone in the store with no assistance. Always apologizing for us having to wait when honestly we have waited longer for way less elsewhere.
