Dr. Vo is an amazing doctor. I have been searching for a more natural approach to my health and Dr. Vo has been able to provide that. Dr. Vo is a wizard! Understanding the human body takes time and Dr. Vo has a way of explaining it so I have greater confidence in ongoing treatment, and makes me feel enabled to manage my own health. Because I'm a bit overzealous and like immediate satisfaction, the cadence of appointments and lab tests felt slow. However, the results and the care are worth it! I'm grateful I have insurance that will cover the lab tests, otherwise that would be a deal breaker. I am not exaggerating when I say that Dr. Vo has changed my life. I heard about her through my physical therapist who also said she changed her life. I have been treated for hypothyroidism since I was a teenager by various doctors and specialists and Dr. Vo is the first professional to explain my condition in a way I fully understood it. She has a way of teaching (right down to drawing little diagrams of what is happening inside the body) that makes complicated medical issues easy to understand. She then connects this information to ways you can affect your own health through diet changes and when those don't work, supplementation. She always attempts to go the nutrition route first, and does not push unnecessary supplementation. She also does not push her own supplements, as so many other practitioners seem to do. The recommendations she has given me are all based on results from my blood work, and she tests after changes are made to show you exactly how your body is being altered by those changes. This has helped me tremendously, as I have been able to take control of my own health. The results are undeniable. I lost 25 pounds and have maintained my weight for the last year (I am a 36 year old mother of two small children). My energy levels are higher than they have been in as long as I can remember. I have suffered for years with low energy, poor memory, weight gain, hair loss, and many other issues. I have had my thyroid tested 3 times over the years, and each time the Doctor would tell me that my thyroid was fine, even thought I had just about every symptom that points to low thyroid. A common answer to my issues was that I am just getting older and it's normal. I have also gone to several naturopaths over the years, where I received very minimal results. Dr. Vo is wonderful. She's patient, cooperative and understanding that different people have different needs. She makes time for her patients and care about what YOU need...and she's not about the money. If she can get away with a phone follow-up and it takes less than 15 minutes, she won't even charge you. I have been a patient of Dr. Vo's for over 5 years. My insurance does not cover her, so I pay for her out of pocket. It's worth every penny. She works with me to determine what are the best treatments for my health issues, especially in the light of me having to pay out of pocket. She has helped me with my thyroid, she has also helped me with my fibromyalgia. For the first time in a long time, I have not had pain with my fibro. She has also made excellent nutritional recommendations for me. She does not push supplements on me, but she does have them available at her office. Dr. Vo started out very attentive and with lots of plans on treatment. After most of her treatments were unsuccessful she pretty much gave up and put the blame on me being overreactive to the level of pain I was in and totally ignored the majority of my symptoms. After trying to get somewhere on treating chronic leg and hand numbness and pain, intestinal issues and chronic neck pain and not getting any treatment of any value, I finally went to another physician. They ran the appropriate tests and referred me to appropriate specialists and I am finally diagnosed with Schatzki Ring, hiatal hernia, erosive gastritis, GERD, arthritis in all levels of my neck, and motor neuropathy. I am finally getting the treatment I need and have more hope for recovery (or at least keeping things from getting worse.) Dr. Vo did not manage to recognize, handle or treat any of these problems. She contradicted herself more times than I can remember. She suggested that I see another doctor for something but wouldn't refer me to anyone, then when I went to another doctor, she berated me for a good 5 minutes about going to see this other doctor (after she told me I should!). I would not recommend Dr. Vo to anyone who wants to get treatment for anything that isn't easily diagnosed or treated. She was not able to deal with any of my issues and pretty much said it was all in my head. read more

Dr Vo was recommended to me for my hypothyroidsm. My first appointment was good and Dr Vo ran a lot of expensive tests, but when the results came back normal and I was still feeling awful, tired and not sleeping, she did not help. Instead, I am the one who had to insist on a saliva/adrenals test. I was supposed to receive my results within a few days, but never did so called the office and was told by Joy that my results were perfectly normal and I only needed a follow up appointment in 6 weeks. I asked for a copy of my results and when I received them they were anything but normal! My Cortisol level were really high in the morning especially. I had to call back and let Joy know my results were not normal and I could not wait 6 weeks and what would the doctor recommend. I was finally called back by Dr Vo but that was 3 weeks after she received my test results!!! I am very disappointed by the lack of care by Dr Vo and would definitely not recommend her to anyone! After a devastating miscarriage in 2008, a good friend recommended I see Dr Mylinh Vo as soon as possible. Dr Vo immediately was inviting and took time to learn more about my health concerns. I'm used to being rushed during dr visits, so for me, I appreciated the time she put forth in trying to make me feel better about one day being a mother. Two years later, I got pregnant and she monitored the whole pregnancy by watching my pregnancy levels and made sure I was taken cared of when things got scary. Another 2 years later, she also monitored my pregnancy with baby #2 and although my pregnancy was stressful and kept me paranoid (due to constant spotting throughout the whole pregnancy), she recommended all necessary steps to sustain my pregnancy. Its 2016 now and I couldn't be happier and feel blessed to have my 2 wonderful healthy boys. I honestly don't know if they would be here if Dr. Vo wasn't there every step of the way making sure my pregnancy was monitored the way she did.
