It's clean, big, modern, very well-lit, very quiet, and has everything I need…read moreto get my work done: a lot of built-in plugs in the desks for my laptop, private rooms for group sessions, Apple desktop computers in case I didn't bring mine (ha! AS IF), and - this is important - convenient individual desk lamps for those fall/winter months when it gets darker faster. There's also a fairly good selection of books/periodicals. I'm taking out a star because the hours aren't always convenient (for a university library, I'd prefer late night hours and weekends, of course), but I think that's a French thing overall and I stil love it here. Oh! And lots of parking spots for my bike.

I am lucky…read moreand take classes in their beautiful building right on the quais - which has a lot of perks - first off - it means a wonderfully pleasant bike ride on the path on the river to and from class, secondly, the buildings are just so historic and grand. I find the professors to be, for the most part, quite helpful and interesting. The library can get a bit busy but I do appreciate the facilities and internet. On the other hand, for anyone coming from an American university, the administrative red tape and lack of organization can be quite, quite frustrating, but that is something that seems to be common in most French universities and just takes some getting used to, I suppose.
