The Guzzo Cinema is the nearest cinema to my home, so I recently organized my son's birthday there. I made a request for information via their website and the staff got back to me quite quickly. There are several packages for birthday parties but I chose the basic one for 10 people ($ 200). This package includes admission to the cinema for the movie of your choice (my son had chosen Detective Pikachu), 10 kid combos (popcorn, drink (fruit juice or slush), and treats (M & M or Skittles)) and tokens for arcade games. Unfortunately for me, three of my guests canceled at the last minute but the final price remained unchanged since being based on a package I still payed for 10 people. So basically, they give you a corner in the lobby encircled with ribbon with a few tables and chairs. It's so trivial that twice I had to tell families that they could not sit in that area because of the birthday party. I installed my few decorations and gave them the cake to store in the fridge. The movie theater left something to be desired in terms of cleanliness, the section that was assigned to us was really sticky. As for the tokens, unfortunately, they do not give access to all of the games, the children were somewhat disappointed. Frankly, I'm not a fan of this cinema, every time I go I find that the cleanliness leaves something to be desired, they do not accept payments by debit card which obliges me every time to make cash withdrawals. For comparison, I had already organized a birthday at StarCité Montreal and the service and cleanliness level was much better for the same price range. Vieux, désuet, sale et odeur étrange dans la salle. Le plancher de la sale étais tellement gras que les empruntes des souliers y restaient. 60% des arcades étais hors d'usage. La machine à yogurt glacé était brisé, 50% des items sur le menu n'étais pas disponible. D'ailleurs, il m'est toujours aberrant que Guzzo n'accepte pas débit encore en 2023. Prix moins chère que Cineplex, mais l'expérience médiocre ne vaut pas le rabais. I thought for sure I had written a review for this cinema. I've been going here ever since I moved to Canada. It's a really big cinema and arcade, you could spend a whole day here and have tons of fun. I've never had a problem with seating, or long lines. I do like that they have movies in french and english but you can only buy tickets on site. Also the schedule online is always written weirdly so I would call in advance to make sure. Other than that, it's a great cinema. You can also go shop once you're done. read more

A night out at the movies can be a fun experience. The Guzzo chain of cinemas offer a more affordable alternative to the often more expensive Cineplex chain. Their Marche Central theater is right next to the 40 so if you are driving it is easily accessible, and there is also always sufficient parking. If you are taking public transit it is another story. I have never tried to come here by public transit but given how there isn't a metro in the immediate vicinity of the theater I would expect it to be difficult. They always seem to screen the most up to date releases and the seating in the theaters is generally quite comfortable. The crowds also don't seem to get too bad so you don't have to line up too early to be sure you get a good seat. There is also an arcade which features bumper cars and bowling lanes for those of you with children. One area where the theater fails miserably is overall cleanliness. Last time I was here it was impossible to find somewhere that had actually been cleaned properly. The bathrooms were dirty, the tables near the concession stand were filthy, and there was all kinds of garbage like old popcorn and candy between and under the seats in the theater. In many areas I found the floor to be sticky, probably because it hadn't been cleaned properly after a drink spill. This place could do with a thorough cleaning from top to bottom. I have never tried their food but in looking at the prices they seem to be what you would expect to pay for a movie theater. The cleanliness, or lack thereof, is a major turnoff about this theater and one that discourages me from wanting to come back here. If they took better care of it then I would most definitely be back. read more

RATS ALERT (french version follows) !!!!!!! My boyfriend and I went there. We put the popcorn's bag on the floor to be able to drink our slushes. The popcorn fell and we didnt make a big deal out of it and finished the popcorn. When the movie ended and the lights turned on, we saw a few rats on the seats right behind us. So discusting when you think it might have been a rat who shared the popcorn with us. Insulting when you realise the owner must know about this issue but just wont care because the lights are off 90% of the time. I emailed them about it but no answer. I was hoping i could at least get a refund but i guess not. Wont go there, or any other Guzzo ever again :( +1 for Nextflix Mon copain et moi sommes allés au cinéma Marché Central. Nous avons déposé le sac de popcorn durant le film, pour pouvoir boire nos flushs. On a senti le sac tomber mais on ne s'est pas posé trop de questions. Après avoir mangé le sac entier, et lorsque le film a terminé, les lumières de la salle se sont ouvertes. On a vu partout sur les banc de la rangée arrière des gros rats. Vraiment dégueulasse quand tu réalises que tu as propablement partagé ton popcorn avec un rat. J'ai essayé de les contacter pour un remboursement mais je n'ai pas eu de réponse. C'est vraiment insultant quand on pense que le propriétaire est surement au courant mais qu'il a probablement jugé que, parce les lumières sont pratiquement toujours fermées, personne ne s'en rendra compte. Nice game/arcade room, probably the nicest of the Guzzo brand. The free parking is also a plus. Full of kids and teenagers for the 6 to 8 show time, but enough arcades for everyone to have fun. The 2 negative points are: the seats, and the none authentic IMAX room. Paramount aka Scotiabank Theater is still #1. read more

Seating is comfortable but at the same time they're often dirty or in poor condition. Half the time you think you found a good seat but instead the fabric seat has a huge stain on it or the arm rest is broken. Weak!!! So in all, not a Cineplex experience which I vastly prefer and don't mind paying a few more dollars for as the experience of great viewing, excellent sound and comfortable seating is KEY to me. Guzzo does provide a more affordable movie experience compared to what you'd find with Cineplex and this location even has a really nice free indoor parking which is great for winter. This location has a lot of side activities such as air hockey, arcades, bumper cars, etc. Ultimately, I come here whenever I can't watch a movie at a Cineplex theater and expect an OK experience. You cannot reserve seats or buy your ticket ahead of time too. Comon, it's almost 2017. read more

Their indoor parking is a real lifesaver come winter time. They have a $7 matinee special before 6pm, which is awesome, as well as the customary Tuesday $6 special. They have only new movies that just came out, start times are normally 3pm and 7pm, 9pm most of the times. Their lineups and small bathrooms are a bit of a letdown, and their customer service leaves a lot to be desired, but overall a solid option for movies. I never tried their food so can't comment on it, but their arcade and bumper cars are a fun option for the young and young at heart. read more

Just had the worst experience at Cinema Guzzo Marche Central. They only take cash at the ticket counters, then have no interac at the concession stand, which they only told us after we ordered our food and had picked at the popcorn. Got to the theater to find cracked seats, and took a sip of our soda to find it was completely flat. Finally the movie starts, and then a speaker BLEW in the theater, but they started the movie anyhow, and we watched the first 15 minutes of it with no sound before they realized it. Finally they turned on the lights and fixed the sound, and re-started the movie where they left off, then stopped it AGAIN and re-started it from the beginning. After all of that, they didnt even offer an apology. Will never go back there!! read more

This theatre has ruined other theatres for me. I have never sat in seats so comfortable, and had so much leg room - ever. The way the theatre is designed is that the screen is oriented downwards of you (even if you're in the front row) but the screen still faces towards you. It allows for unobstructed views and unbridled comfort. I wish all theatres were designed this way. read more

Pros: Tuesday pricing, big theatres, comfy seats (though many down the middle need to be replaced), and parking. Cons: The IMAX theatres are too loud (I'm only 39 and won't see another) and their leather seats are much LESS comfy than the regular theatre seats. For years most of the men's bathrooms have had at least one issue, like a light out, toilet out of order, etc. The theatre floors need to be better cleaned- and regularly. read more

$6 on Tuesday. Can get really crowded fast. Go early for seats and line up. I went to the washroom and came back to a huge line..but I didn't cut the line! Younger crowd here. read more

Great place for kids, a big game arcade, bumper cars too ! Even if the food and beverage service was somewhat chaotic and a little bit slow. I think there is a great variety of movies, the staff was friendly, and the price range is reasonable. I recommend that cinema for sure! Great family vibes. read more

tons of parking, good selection of movies. however it does boggle my mind that they don't have booth that you can go up and buy tickets, you need to see someone and on busy nights they only have three kiosk open, so when you get stuck in traffic, which in this city is a given, you can quickly buy your tickets. read more

I highly recommend that anyone living in the 21st century not go to the wonders that is Cinema Guzzo. First off, customer service is utterly non-existent. Seriously, bought a ticket for a showing which said a very specific time online, arrived to the showing and it'd been going for at least 15 minutes. Tried to get my money back, apparently this very simple and uncomplicated process which Cineplex does without blinking, was utterly impossible for them. Somehow, it seems that the fact that I'd just put down around 40$ for 2 tickets and a popcorn wasn't worth the 2 minutes it would take to pay me back and then make sure that I wanted to return another time. While the employee seemed contrite that this was store policy, if it truly is, its the worse one I can think of. Also, when it comes to ways of buying your ticket online\electronically these are non-existent. Whereas any other modern movie theater has an app that you can use to buy your ticket in advance or a self-serve so you don't wait in line forever, Cinema Guzzo seems to be above it all and enjoys going retro, hopefully not too far from now that's exactly where it'll be: in the past. Does it have any type of redeeming quality? Not really, most days when you actually wish to go there you'll also have to deal with a ridiculous line up caused by the fact that they only have 3-4 boots to sell you your ticket. Essentially, rarely have I been left feeling so frustrated after going to the movies without even getting to see the movie that I over-paid for. I highly recommend this cinema if you ever have the intense urge to know what it feels like to burn your hard-earned money. read more
