I got Nhance to refinish my kitchen cabinets. -They dont sand or prep -So much hair and paint chunks in the finished look - super thin paint, not enamel, just poor paint - paint just comes off in most places with minimal contact They will not sand and prep my cabinets and re-paint. They already got paid $6k for it so all they WILL do is charge me $2.6k to replace the cabinets doors. My doors and drawers are in great condition, there's no need to replace them but I can't afford to pay someone else to take it all down, sand, prep and re-paint again. NOT HAPPY They said they wash the cabinets down and the paint isn't sticking because of oils on the surface over the years. Well sanding takes care of that. And my question is...If YOU KNOW your method doesnt work well with refinishing, why keep doing it that way? I SEE WHY THEY HAVE TERRIBLE REVIEWS. They came over to give an estimate and didn't have an example of what the finished product would look or feel like but told me it would be enamel-like. Its more like a thinner, less covering paint. It was supposed to be in gloss and they did a satin finish, so no shine at all. I also spent a lot of time and money choosing my color. Went thru 17 different samples and they cost $8 each. But I found my color, they said they can match anything. It was supposed to be a faint sage color. They said they couldn't match it on the DAY OF WORK. If I would have known that they couldn't match it, I could have given them my second choice which was a warm vanilla shade. But since it was the day of, I just went with it. The cabinets doors and drawers are very thinly covered and lots of chunks and hairs and grit in the paint. Now it does look nice from afar but not up close and not the color i chose, but what they chose FOR ME. They told me "we dont have every single color" but i was told they could color match anything. It was quick and finished on time but not the color I wanted or the sheen and you can see some areas where I did paint swatches on the doors, just the outline of the old paint because they dont sand anything. Paint is already chipping off and lots of areas that came off when tape was removed. I took pics and sent them so they came out and asked where the issues were. I pointed out all the chunks, hairs, areas that were already peeling off, the nail that was sticking out and they just painted over it and minimal coverage areas. They said i signed a contract acknowledging that there would be "some pitting" , i didnt realize "some pitting" was every surface, front,back, top, bottom, left and right. It just looks like it didn't get full coverage. Owner said i was "too picky" and he'd be proud to show off this work. Well I guess thats good cause its going on your review! They said they would touch it all up and if I wasnt happy, they would re-paint. So after the touch up, I said I wasnt happy because the coverage was still showing the wood color thru. Owner said they weren't going to repaint. I was like? You JUST told me that you would re-paint but now you wont. So I said I guess we're done. So a few days later, owner called and said he knew i didnt like it and was unhappy that the paint comes off so easy everywhere and the coverage is so thin. So he told me i could pay another $2.6k and theyd replace the doors so that the paint wont come off the new ones. I have to do it because the paint is going to be a disaster in just a few weeks anyhow and i dont have another $6k to pay someone else to sand and prep and paint correctly. So now I'll be out $8.6k and still have to repaint the base myself but the doors will be fine.... I hope. The longer I have been looking at my cabinets, the sadder I have been getting. I wish I would have just done it myself because I'm out so much money and I dont have the kitchen I wanted and STILL have to paint a large amount myself now after all. If you look at my pictures you can see the swatch of my color and the color they chose for me. I'm so disappointed and out a ton of money too. The estimate process was completely on line, from photos I took. Not sure how they can give an accurate estimate that way but anyway...once i said I wanted to be contacted by someone who could come to my home to show me samples, it took about 3 weeks, I had to call back to remind them...the guy that called told me when they come put they were going to take my cabinet doors off and take them to the factory to use as templates, and that would take about 3 weeks. I asked about samples and looking at colours, he told me they don't really have samples, I guess I was to choose from the web site, I asked about colorurs, I wanted a white and a black, he told me "white is white, black is black" and he didnt have samples....ok, he was supposed to call me with a time to come out, a week went by no call, I then found an email in my junk box from him saying I needed to e-transfer...to him...20% of the estimate before he would even come out...i did not do that, and haven't heard from them since. Also is payment schedule did not line up with what I was told initially, nor his bit about no samples, or having to pay upfront to see samples...it all felt very wrong. I was not going to e-transfer thousands of dollars to a personal email of a guy who could not be bothered....I don't recommend this company....just doesn't feel professional. read more

While doing some major home renovations, our contractor recommended Stephen Taylor at N-Hance to "refinish" our kitchen & bathroom cabinets as well as our built-ins in the family room. We went from a distressed black (in the kitchen), cherry (in the family room) and off white (bathroom) to white and Stephen explained the process being similar to refinishing hardwood floors with a polyurethane finish. He said the finish would not chip! He worked well with the contractor and was a great communicator managing expectations. His work is outstanding and we are confident we will not have to worry about chipping paint like we would had we just painted the cabinets. Had our cabinets resurfaced by N-Hance. After over 12 visits to my home and several days without my cabinet doors they had so much paint build up on the doors that they agreed to replace the doors. They used inferior doors and after just 4 months the finish on the doors began peeling. As I write this they have still not resolved the issue. NHance: The wife and I just had our hardwood floors restored by this company. I heard about this new procedure that could restore your hardwood floors without having to sand them, using harsh, irritating nauseating chemicals etc. If you have ever had your floors restored you know what I mean. This procedure requires none of the above. The two service men (Ralph and Dan) showed up on time of the day stated, prepared the work area, and began. I understood this was a new procedure and it could be done in on day. Ralph as well as yhe vedio assured me there would be just a small amount of smell in the area, but it would not be harsh. The two worked well together and the job was completed that evening. I was told that we could walk on the floor and replace the furniture as soon as they walked out the door. They used at the completion a mobile blue light source to dry the floors. Our floors had a wax build up and we had done everything short of sanding with no results. If this had not done the job we would have had to result to completely stripping, sanding, sealing and applying pollyurterain to the floor. That I did not cherish the thought of and thanks to this new procedure a that is in the past. I went to You Tube and checked this franchise out. There is a vedio that showed us what they would do and the results which we could expect My wife was so happy as I with the results. I highly recommend this company to all for restoring their hardwood floors. We had other companies come out and tell us what we had to do to get her floors back to the original condition and looking so great that she couldn't wait to show her new floors off. I don't recommend the Souteast Michigan "Exner" N-Hance company! Awful work!!! My kitchen cabinets were to be a glaze wash, over a soft cream color on the door and base cabinet with a dark chocolate glaze in the deep crease. They look nothing like the sample door they brought into my home and are not the color I picked out. I ended up with a bright white base color, a hand painted glaze on the base, different colored doors and a light brown hand painted in the crease. Several phone calls to Anna and she wants to charge me more money to finish the job! I called the corporate office of Nhance they told me they don't get involved with the franchise's. This company takes your money, then wants to charge you more money to finish the bad job that they originally quoted. They only put primer on the cabinets in the house that is why Anna kept calling the color "primer white" said it was a thin coat of primer not even the 2 coats of primer plus the 2 coats of paint that the cabinets were to have. Then Anna just hand glazed over the thin coat of primer to cut the bright white. She said something must of been wrong with the equipment and her employees should of noticed that. Anna should have resprayed my kitchen cabinets. Anna and Bob the owners, knew it was a bad job and the equipment broke and they failed to make the job right. They just took our money and wanted more money to finish the job. BAD work and you never hear from them. The corporate office washes their hands. I DO NOT RECOMMEND N-hance!!!! Worse consumer service .last year I hired them trough home depo ( may 2017) They came to my home and took my consum build cabinet to fix it , never returned it after a year . I called the head quarter to ask for help , Mr Julian Harris said unfortunately there is nothing they can do , they don't have enough fund to replace my lost cabinet . This review is for the local (Central Coast) franchise of N-Hance. It took 3 visits to get things to an acceptable level with this company. The first job didn't fix the fade marks and discoloration. The second attempt got the coloration somewhat right but not all the scratches. The third time wasn't really the charm but we were so fed up by that point that we just punted... The owner of this local franchise isn't blessed with natural customer service skills. My wife refused to deal with him after the first visit. In his defense, he did come back until we were "satisfied". However, I would not recommend this treatment for anyone with wood floors, wanting them to retain the same grain and natural look. The Nhance process is, basically, a slurry of urethane or other product that coats the wood floor, masking the fading, scratches, etc. While it is much less expensive than refinishing, it is also less appealing. It's a quick fix. My advice is to bite the bullet, pay the extra money, deal with the downtime and go full refinishing. We wish we had. read more

This business is based in Western New York (Geneseo). We had N-Hance come in to reface our kitchen cabinets 2 years ago and have had nothing but problems ever since. Several of the doors keep falling off their hinges. We've taken photos and contacted the company, he did acknowledge the shoddy job, but has never come back to fix them. I had 3 laminated cabinet doors that discolored, bad batch perhaps. We have for over two years, tried to replace the doors or cabinets, but the prices were either too high or no one wanted to do such a small job. Amazing what you think is a small job, becomes impossible to get fixed. Luckily another vendor recommended Nhance to us. Never once did we feel our job was too small or less important than their other big jobs. The owner drove out to our house to take a look at our problem, gave us a quote and in less than 2 weeks had our cabinet doors repainted. Mind you these doors are not solid wood. They had a laminate coating on them that turned yellow. They removed the laminate coat, sanded the door and spray painted the doors the same color white as our other doors. You can not tell the difference at all. The owner delivered the final product and we are very pleased. Family run business, with great work ethics and super friendly service! Very unhappy with this product. Prior to installation we were assured that the product was very durable. And their staff was very cooperative in the initial installation. But after install, we used painters tape (designed not to pull off paint) to mark locations for cabinet pulls. The color peeled off completely under that tape. When we told our sales rep, he said that should not have happened, and that he'd reinstall the color and put a new top coat on to bond it better. Unfortunately, the color immediately peeled back off in two test spots after that second installation. So my rep refers me to his boss, Jon, who informs me that any tape on a cabinet is not "normal wear and tear" and isn't under the warranty and that there's nothing more they plan to do. So don't believe that there's any durability to the product, don't believe they offer "100% customer satisfaction" and don't buy it, period. read more
