We encountered significant challenges during the subsequent phases of the project. Communication regarding next steps and scheduling was inconsistent, and I frequently had to reach out for updates. This lack of proactive communication often made us feel like an inconvenience. Our primary issue involved the replacement of a damaged cabinet and two countertops. Because we were functioning at subpar levels, I requested that one section of the cabinetry and countertop be reinstalled early so we could operate as a business. I was informed this would require an additional fee, which I accepted but did not understand why I needed to be charged extra when the work was necessary anyway and would benefit me, the customer, to do this. Unfortunately, the replacement countertop was measured incorrectly and arrived a foot short, causing further delays. Later, after being told for weeks that a replacement cabinet was being built, the installer arrived on the scheduled date without the cabinet. This left us without a sink or our ice machine, which is critical for post-operative patient pain control. We were forced to purchase ice from stores for a week and a half while waiting for the cabinet to actually be built. While the final installation on April 10 was completed quickly, the overall process took from January 2 until today, April 13. Currently, the handles are not yet installed, there are already chips in the new countertop, and two drawers do not close properly due to the placement of the ice machine lines. I realize that with things like this, plans change and orders don't go as planned, which I was willing to accept. However, the lack of communication and unwillingness to communicate was very disappointing. I felt dismissed until I became stern and aggressive, which is not how I want to be at all. I also wanted to point out that we paid in full on 2/17/26. Since we paid in full, we hoped things would move as quickly as possible, but that was not the case. I will not post a bad review or anything of that nature but I feel it is important to address these issues because the next customer may not handle them as I am. I believe in giving businesses the opportunity to grow and learn from these experiences and I hope that happens here. read more

Had our basement flood on the 4th of July due to an irrigation main water line break. Even though it was a holiday, Sierra Restoration came out and begun the process to prevent increased damage to our basement, and all the furniture, electronics, and miscellaneous contents that were affected by the water. The team was very responsive and quickly did the work needed. It was thorough, very organized, and fast. Members of the team, Jeremy, David, Oscar, Brandon, Trey, and several others, all worked every day until the basement was dry, and clear of all compromised materials. Our basement is now ready for the finishing work, and it is great to see that they will be recreating our downstairs living space on a dry, clean, safe, and well prepared foundation. There are a couple different main companies in Logan that do restoration work when you have a big water problem causing lots of damage. I worked with Sierra Restoration over the choice my insurance company recommended I use. I am glad I did because they do more detailed work than what would have been done if I had used the other company. While it was a long process all during COVID19, which some of their workers got as well, they did great work. When working on a large project like this, coordinating tenants (this was a duplex), working with the property manager who can see the work being done, working with the insurance company and finally working with me the owner who lives out of state, but grew up in Cache Valley - communication is key. We did run into a bit of miscommunication a few weeks into the project, but we solved that by sending emails that had everyone cc:d in it to make sure there were not any misunderstandings as the work progressed. I did want to have some additional work done with higher quality product than was originally in the property and had to put a little extra money into that, but since the work was being done anyhow, the timing was right. Due to COVID, this took some extra time getting quotes and obtaining the product we needed. Casey was the main guy that handled my job and he was dedicated throughout the whole project looking for ways to save me money. He even got sick during the project and had to spend some time down and out for quarantine purposes, but he kept in touch through it all - I was very impressed. Aaron, helped me with the initial phase of getting everything quoted for the insurance company and he was also very involved in the beginning. I would recommend using Sierra Restoration - they work well with insurance companies and know what needs to be done. The final product is very good and I am happy just to move on from all this down time from having my rental producing income. Thank goodness my insurance company, State Farm, had coverage for lost rents. A big shout out to State Farm for taking care of their customers too!
