The girls wanted to go shopping at Ross so my buddy and I headed for Total Wine which is basically a few doors down... It was on my to do list for the trip along with Runza. Lol This Total Wine location opened not long ago. Parking is a snap here. It's a huge lot! You can't help but be impressed (and slightly overwhelmed) by the expansive selection of wine, spirits, beer, mixers, etc. I struck up a conversation with Coe and he helped me with a couple of newer release bourbons. Old Fitzgerald 7, Penelope Cigar Blend, and I grabbed a Yellowstone Rum Cask finish. When I got to the register Karl and I were talking and he asked if I'd signed up for their Rewards. No i hadn't. Doing that saved me $40! An excellent visit and a productive hunt. Super impressed with the selection and customer service at the Total Wine here in Lincoln! We were greeted when we entered and offered a sample of Irish Cream. We are given wine coupons. There were plenty of friendly clerks to help customers locate or recommend a brand. We picked up some local craft beer and assorted vodka. I bought more than I intended. They have the largest selection of non-alcoholic beverages that I've seen anywhere and priced lower than specialty stores. Everything is neat, sparkling clean and well organized. Definitely one stop shopping. Parking is easy in the strip mall lot. You can pre order and get curbside pickup in special spaces.

Today my experience was beyond exceptional-I needed to buy one Stella Artois for a friend who is on hospice (in his 90's) that requested one of his favorite beers and a small pack of pretzels for the game. I only needed one beer and Meier's was the only place in town willing to sell one. When I came in, the owner gifted me the beer. Businesses with service, heart and pure human connection like this are fewer by the day. We've lost so many wonderful establishments in this town with great service over the last decade...Ideal Grocery, The Moose's Tooth, Downtown Shoe and Boot Repair, Nelson Cleaners, and Art on Display to name a few.
