Nager Pour La Vie is hands down the best foundation you can give your child in the water. Karina is extremely knowledgeable and has developed, no PERFECTED, an approach to swimming that has not only taught our three children the foundational skills to swim and be safe in and around water, but she has instilled a passion for swimming in my children that is unmatched. All three of them are hooked on water! Her approach has worked to teach all three of my very different children, and she has been so creative and efficient when working with my middle son who has DCD. My only complaint would be my kids love the water TOO much now! They swim regularly and confidently in beaches and pools. While my 7 year old is now on a competitive swim team and wishes he could still get lessons with Karina. If you choose Nager Pour La Vie, be prepared to be spending a LOT of time at the pool! My eldest son who is now 7 years old, swam with Karina from 16months to 6 years old and we wanted me to write this about Karina: "Karina got in the water with me, let me swim, we had fun and she showed me and corrected me with examples, so then I understood what to do when I was swimming. I could not recommend this program more. Karina is beyond patient (even when your child is unwilling to cooperate sometimes) and really manages to get the notions through to them. My kids are absolute fish because of this program!!! read more

We started lessons with Karina when our daughter was 6 months old, and stayed with Karina for about 5 years. While she was a great and enthusiastic teacher, make sure you ask for her assistance in transitioning your child to a larger pool. When it was our daughter's time to transition to more advanced lessons in a bigger pool our daughter became scared and Karina spent very little time encouraging and helping her, instead spent her time taking care of the other students, which is understandable. However, she did not accept my daughter back to the small pool to rebuild her confidence. We were left to scramble to find alternatives, and with several failed attempts, we are left with a 7 year old girl who insists she needs a lifejacket because she cannot swim. read more

We started with our eldest son in 2014 with Karina. Having a pool at home and often being at the beach or around water we knew we had to make sure our kids knew as much as possible about water safety. We wanted them to build a solid core of not only loving the water but being safe in and around it. From getting them comfortable with just having their face in the water to having them float on their back solo and know what to do in case they panic or fall in somewhere. We have always had 100% confidence in Karina and her teaching abilities with this unique program with our kids. We have since had our 2 younger boys enrolled in her program and although we are sad our eldest has progressed to group classes without her, he has done so beautifully and all of his skills and confidence learned from Karina have enabled him to continue to flourish .
