She has a very mixed history of stealing from other mermaids that was documented in The globe and Mail. (namely when she got her start by literally mirroring mermaid linden's website, and giving the media in Canada photos and video of mermaid linden and another swim school claiming it was HER- so she went viral, under someone else's stolen content) She doesn't have the best reputation within the professional world, though that shouldn't reflect on individual franchises who buy their franchises from her and they do not associate. in the beginning when they were trying to kickstarter for their tails, they advertised it using other tail makers tails, and footage taken without consent of other mermaids and used despite being asked not to use other mers unwilling to promote her brand. Another instance of stealing foam inserts from mermaid linden's monofins and then claiming she invented them for her tails. a mermaid convention had frequent issues with her attending workshops she hadn't paid for, and then filming them, and then trying to stop her from putting those workshops people paid for- for free online. There are people who worked for her when she first started and didn't get all of their pay, and were not provided the promised materials to put on classes. She is not a company I choose to support due to the damage she has caused in the industry, and her blatant disregard for the rights of others when it comes to filming them without their knowledge and then trying to use that to represent her company. Also all the blatant lying claims to be the first swim school in Canada (she was the 3rd or 4th by the time she got going) and the first pro mermaid. *rolls eyes* She's also lying about her swimming instructors being certified lifeguards. where she's hiring people without any credentials. her monofins are heavy, and difficult to swim with, cheap quality, fall off easily and mermaid spandex has a very short life span, meaning they rip easily. students pay 60$ pp/hour, when instructors get paid 14$ an hour to teach a full class of 8.

You hang your outerwear by the door and take off your footwear. You can choose to be barefoot or wear socks. As a first timer, I was introduced to proper form, positions, and movement. The last thing anyone wants is an injury. I felt accommodated and thoroughly enjoyed my workout. You start off with stretching and stability to get warmed up and then you move on to specific exercises and sequences. Many had their own programs and designated weight expectations. It's not a large space but it allows for more personalized instruction. The instructors move around to check in on each individual. What I did notice and appreciate was the range of clientele. They welcome all ages and body types, and it felt inclusive. A nice community of like-minded people looking to gain muscle, improve strength, and increase mobility. In one class I could touch my toes and the floor! I can't even do that with multiple yoga sessions on a weekly basis! Thanks for the introduction and positivity! I'd love to come back in the future!

I found him to be incredibly knowledgeable as well as being patient while helping me work through my many form mistakes and questions. Although we were in a remote setting, he always seemed to know when to check in, to give me a nudge, and to take the time to dial into any issues I was having. I've been able to not only lose 15 lbs but to gain more confidence in working with heavier weights and routines I would have never thought of.
