Me and my friend went here for a pedicure. Our regular places were booked. First of all we were booked together and that obviously wasn't going to happen since there were only 3 people working and two were already busy. We ended up being there over two hours when at our regular place we are both done in an hour. The one sink was quite dirty, and the other sink was filled with dirty towels. We also used the restroom which was clean but had a dirty pee pad in the middle of the floor from the dog and the sink was not usable. The work area for the pedicure stuff could have been cleaner and there was quite a bit of dust and dirt built up behind the chairs. The young man who was doing the pedicures seemed to be around 16 years old or maybe younger. He was very personable and nice but didn't provide a good pedicure. If you are looking for your legs or feet to get massaged like usual during a pedicure you won't get that here. Maybe 30 seconds. The price was 30 dollars but really only worth about 15. I also found it strange that the mall security person came into the shop and was in there for about an hour just holding the owner's dog. which by hearing the conversations it happens quite often. Do not step in to Nail Art!!! I was visiting PA and thought I would treat my aunt and myself to a manicure with powder and pedi's. I signed in saying manicure with powder and pedicure. They started with our pedicures, I asked that girl to trim my toe nails she said she would but never did. She went on to use an ugly pink color on my french pedicure and then did a thin white line on the top. Well needless to say when I trimmed my own toe nails the white was no where to be found. Then we moved on to the manicure and color, well the manicure never happened. I never had powder done and I thought I would try because I hate taking the gel off. She pulled out her dermal tool which I was surprised by, but thought maybe this was the procedure for powder. Before starting the powder I asked if she would push my cuticles back since there was no manicure, and she said that a manicure is $10, I told her no problem but then she went on with the color first and no manicure. Then my next surprise was when she put a gel topcoat on and I had to be under the UV light. After that I was pretty done with the place and she walked over to the sink to fill the manicure bowl. Why would I have you push cuticles back on nails that were just finished, I told her to forget it. There were also bubbles and thin spots in the color. This place was also not cheap, it cost me $200 plus tip for myself and my aunt. Since I was in another state I didn't push the issue but I warn any new customer to stay away!!!! Last night I sat for about an hour when I got home with acetone on my nails to remove the color/gel, and of course since she used the sanding tool they were all jacked up under them with swirls in my natural nail. It will take about 6 months grow this mess out and I like to grow my natural nails so I will be a mess for awhile. My recommendation is to STAY AWAY!!!! read more

Ok. I was burnt and scalped while getting my eyesbrows waxed!! DO NOT GO HERE! Bare with me and don't mind my messy hair. But Queenie, the woman that works there scalped and burnt my eyesbrows and skin off on NYE! I went in she sat me down and laid the dirty wax on my eyebrows for the normal amount of time like anywhere else. That's not the issue. She pulled and waxed the upper and bottom of both my eyebrows. She then realized her wax or whatever burned me. And said oh get viman E for about 4 days and I'm like why? She didn't answer said to buy it. She did not put any oil on my eyebrows or clipped them like anyone else because she knew she screwed up big time. She didn't show me them and I left giving her a 50% tip because that's me. Now I walked around the mall looking like a fool. She didn't even warn me I looked like this. She let another woman leave her salon looking like THIS. After 5 minutes of walking around I ran to my car crying in pain running to the store to get Vitam E and Aquaphor . The pictures are a few mins after and over 24 hrs later. It's New Years eve and I can't go out.SHE RUINED MY NIGHT. If this scars they will see me again . I'm so upset. She did give me my money back but this isn't over. She said it's my fault because I used retinol on my face? Who the hell would use that one there eyebrows?! What a dumbass unprofessional dirty salon! read more

I've gone to this nail salon several times throughout the years. If you want a full set acrylic done, only go to peter. All I wanted was a simple full set french done. Classic, simple, and every nail technician should know how to do it.. The lady slabbed on the white nail polish, which then started to bubble. She took a brush to "clean" off the extra nail polish, which didn't really work. She was extremely messy and I had white nail polish all over my fingers. After she was all done.. I asked her to redo them because they looked so terrible. She laughed and got annoyed that she had to redo them. The more she worked on them,the worse they looked. The employees are more interested in talking to each other or on their cell phones than doing your nails. I asked my tech to cut the sides of my toenails because they tend to be ingrown and were causing me pain.. Instead of cutting out the overgrown nail like EVERYONE ELSE he only cut part of it so that it was still hanging on by a thread and then RIPPED IT the rest of the way out. It was very painful and the pain kept on for days and now, a week later, my toe has been infected for a few days at the site he ripped the nail from. read more

I went to this salon to fix my gel pedicure immediately after I left another salon. I told the lady I didn't need a full pedicure because I literally just had one. I just wanted the gel polish changed. The lady removes my gel and gives me a partial pedicure. (She buffed my toes and exfoliated my legs and feet even though I told her to just change the polish. The lady made fun of the shape of my big toe as she was painting them. She also pointed out the imperfections on my leg. (I had a bruise and a scratch from my dog). I felt so embarrassed. My right foot looks good, but my left foot looks worse than it did previously. When it came time to pay I was charged $40 for a full gel pedicure even though I asked multiple times for just a gel polish change. The lady was so rude and condescending. I'll never step foot in there again! read more

If I could leave 0 stars I would. I went here to get a full set for a special occasion. The lady that did my nails was rude and barely talked to me, she was very hard to communicate with. She kept getting annoyed at me for accidentally moving my hands while she aggressively filed my nails to the point of scraping my skin. The tools she used were in a dirty drawer, she didn't even wash her hands before getting started. I'm worried about infections now. My nails turned out as thick acrylics that look tacky as hell with sloppy designs. The polish was sheer in certain parts too. Even my husband told me they were ugly & I wasted my money. When it was time to pay she was annoyed at me that I didn't know they only take cash tips. I paid with my debit card and couldn't leave a tip since I didn't have cash on me (I usually don't carry cash). She told me to go to the ATM. I felt bad not tipping (despite not loving my nails) so I went and got cash, brought it to her, & asked for her to fix my nails because I'm not happy. I would've been happy if she just reshaped them and put a solid color on just to make them look less tacky. She didn't thank me for the generous undeserved tip, and said that she would not fix them. I tried talking to "Queeny" who said I'd be charged for an entire gel manicure if I got them redone. UNBELIEVABLE! They do not care about their customers. Well... i came here because my other nail place didn't have an opening for a fill, so i called and made an appointment here at Nail Art, they were ok at first till the girl i had started using the drill, it was so so painful it felt like she was going to burn my nails, she then started too put the monemer on it's uneven on my ring fingers there's an indent on my right ring finger.... she asked me if i wanted my nails trimmed i told her yes twice. she never cut them till i reminded her she didn't even cut them, she used the drill to try and make them shorter (they didn't get shorter). my middle finder on my left hand is longer then them all, and it is uneven not a good shaping job on that one, but i let it go bc i new it could look worse, then it was time to paint i told her i wanted white on all my nails and red glitter on my ring fingers, i said RED 3 times she started with the glitter, and put silver glitter on my nails, i told her i said red, she stopped and got red glitter and put it over the silver in a terrible way, it's so patches there's just random patches of silver in my red glitter and then she didn't put nearly enough white on my nails, over all they're not terrible but i will never return t was just a bad experience. read more

I used to go to this salon years ago and I never had an issue . Always did my nails with peter. Today I went back to get a full set and I had originally asked how much a full set of long nails are and I was told $35 . Fine that's not bad . I get there and right off the back I was given an attitude by queeny. I ignored it . She then starts doing my nails and when I told her I want them long she says 10$ more like huh really . Fine let her do them short . I told her I didn't want gel just regular color . She still puts the gel colors in front of me to pick out . I told her again I didn't want that and she again with her attitude said then hurry up and go pick a color . I go pick a color and sit back down to paint my nails . My son was also with me and I had told him to put down the volume on my phone as he was watching YouTube . Queeny then says yes please tell him to be quiet because there is people here trying to relax while getting their nails done . I immediately got pissed for . As she was finishing one of my nails got messed up . When I told her she started huffing and puffing like it was my fault . I then just got out and stormed out . After a week 4 nails broke off out of nowhere without any force. They also charge for the shape and color (like where they do that at). I paid 35 dollar for nails with no nail polish because I wasn't paying extra at all. The nails were poorly done and the service was extremely bad, with poor communication. I would never recommend this nail salon to anyone even if someone paid me. Ridiculous!! read more

Giving this nail salon one star is pushing it. To start, it is extremely dirty here. All of the nightmare news stories that you see on TV about nail salons were flashing in my mind. I had made an appointment and was there a few minutes early as well. But this place obviously doesn't honor their appointments. When I said I had an appointment, I was greeted with "Oh." That's all. So I sat among the piles of magazines and started my wait...my ONE hour wait! When I was finally helped the attendant was nice enough, but wasn't the person that I had made my appointment with. Then it got worse. This nail tech made several attempts at humor by repeatedly telling me how racist I was. Really, me never having traveled to Asia (only Europe) is a "white thing"? Don't waste your time or money. I'll definitely never go here again and will gladly make the drive to Wilkes-Barre to go to a nicer place. read more
