They have been able to replicate all the designs I have taken to them and absolutely kill it every time (I have gotten both pedicures and manicures and loved both!). The techs are very focused on their work so this is a great spot for those wanting to kick back and relax while getting your services done. From the times that I have come (usually Saturdays) there are usually two nail techs so I am sure appointments are recommended. Parking- Plaza does not have their own parking so best to park on the street. Booking- I text them to book all my appointments and they always respond in a professional and timely manner. I have ben to Naillist three times now, so I feel comfortable giving a full review of my experiences here. The best way to book an appointment is to message them through Instagram DM or WeChat. I also recommend scheduling ahead because they fill quickly. But most importantly, allow yourself plenty of time because these appointments take hours. Yes hours. They offer gels, extensions, and most importantly, the promise of detailed nail art and intricate designs (as seen from their IG). In my three visits, I had Echo as my nail technician twice. Her attention to detail and steadiness is amazing. I gave her my Inspo photo and she delivered 100%. Some things I noticed: - There's a $10 charge for removal if your nails were done elsewhere - There are no hand washing stations. This is a big no-no for me because it seems like the space/build-out did not accommodate for proper ventilation or plumbing for hand washing. The closest bathroom is through the Karaoke bar from the same owners, which is inconvenient. -Nail tools looked to be shared in between clients. At least in my own experience. On one occasion, I booked an appointment for 5pm on a weekday, but when I arrived, I was told to wait for the client to finish up. I waited 20 minutes before the owner removed my gel, and then I proceed to wait another 20 minutes. I don't need extensions, so my nails are considered "fast" to complete. Complex design + gel + no extension = a little over 2 hours. My most simple nails here took around an hour. Price is also hefty. My experiences have ranged between $45 - $100. They accept card + offer a stamp card. That being said, the most note-worthy mention about Naillist is the type of gel they use. Their selection of Japanese and Chinese gel brands are magical. My gel nails absolutely do not peel or lift or break. They are tough as can be, yet my nail beds feel healthy and nourished. I have gone 5 weeks with each set, and yes the grow-out is not too cute, but boy do they LAST. I love the quality of work, but not a big fan of the sanitary conditions, hence the 4 stars. Just got my 2nd manicure, and I'm nothing but thrilled with the results. What could have been a 45 min appointment at another salon that distracts customers with a hand massage and other extraneous treatments, was instead replaced with meticulous cuticle care, builder gel expertise to correct my ski slope pinky nails, and precise application of the design I requested. Older reviews are wholly inaccurate and tbh kind of racist slander, because my appointment was nothing but professional, hygienic, and careful. This is the best salon you can go for a legitimately good manicure where your design requests and cuticle care are tended to with the utmost precision and respect. I can't see myself getting a manicure anywhere else unless they can display the same kind of attention to detail as what I experienced at Naillist. I want to gatekeep this establishment so badly because I adore their work, but won't because they deserve the exposure and everyone deserves to know that Naillist is the best place available for getting your nails done in Seattle. I came here for a manicure and it was excellent! I was welcomed immediately upon entry and wasn't rushed to pick a color. I was allowed to see multiple colors, on my nails, before selecting a polish, I did NOT ultimately get. There was never any attitude because of my indecisiveness, which is not something I'm used to. The color I finally settled on is beautiful, and I'm glad I didn't rush, or get guilted, into a color I would have hated within an hour. Lumin took her time and her precision is much appreciated. I've come here a few times for manicures and I've always been really happy with the results. They do a really thorough job and the designs are always so unique. My shellac manicure always lasts at least 3 weeks without any chipping. That said, the process does take some time. They meticulously cleaned, buffed and shaped my nails and took about 40-50 minutes before even starting with the design. The whole manicure + unique, hand drawn designs took about 2 hours every time I came here. In comparison, a regular shellac manicure at your typical nail spot would take 45-60 minutes top. I would come here if you're looking for one of a kind designs, ombré colors, or a thorough manicure. Don't expect a relaxing massage or to be out the door in less than an hour. Price is really reasonable and the technicians are always so nice! Bonus points for being walking distance to so many amazing food spots. I've been to this place to get a mani/pedi, eyelash extensions, and laser mole removal. It's definitely on the pricier side, and I'm not sure if I think the quality of this place justifies the price. First, like other reviews have mentioned, this place doesn't have running water so I don't think it's the most hygienic. When I got a pedi, they brought in the water from a separate bathroom, and it was actually lukewarm/kind of cold. My pedicure was around $50 before tax and tip, so it was quite expensive for a normal gel pedicure. The manicure I got was also THE MOST expensive manicure I've ever gotten - especially because I didn't get any designs. It was a simple nude colored acrylic set, and it was $90. I'll caveat this by saying it was the best manicure I've ever gotten and so many people complimented my nails, but I don't think that justifies the steep price tag for such a basic manicure. I liked my eyelash extensions and they do free one-week refills, but it was also pretty expensive - around $140 with tax and tip. However, a lot of my natural lashes fell out with the eyelashes, which doesn't normally happen for me when I get extensions. Finally, I tried their laser mole removal service for my sun spots, and their lasers actually made my sun spots worse. It was $280 (for that price, I should've just gone to a derm), and there was so much downtime involved. The person who removed my sunspots said that my skin would be healed by one month, but at the one month mark, my moles actually looked way darker. I messaged her, and she said it was normal and sent me a Chinese video to watch, but I think that the full details of the mole removal should've been communicated before she used the laser. I ended up having to go to a dermatologist to try and fix my skin because it legit looks like I have really dark freckles, and it's been three months now. They do have really cute manicure designs and my manicurist paid great attention to detail, but I feel like I've tried most services here and my conclusion is definitely: go at your own risk. read more

The day before I went to In Spa Bellevue to have a pedicure and a impromptu French manicure done, one night and the manicure was already falling apart. Rather disappointed, I filed a complaint. My friend and I, saw Naillist when dining upstairs at Fort Saint George and have been curious about the place. Finally got a chance to check them out yesterday! Met the owners Derrick and Sasha. Finally a nail salon own and operated by Chinese people. This nail salon likes to keep up with what is trending. I showed them a picture what I wanted in a French nail design, told them it could be similar or close to but not exactly if need be. Echo was my nail tech. She took her time in removing the shellac In Spa did the night before. Took her time the whole time she did my manicure. The finally result, she nailed the picture I showed her. This is first time ever I have had a nail salon not use a white tip in a normal French manicure which I didn't want. One night, my nails feel strong. I was told could last 3 weeks. Excellent job, I will be back and referring my friends. It is nice to patronize and support local small business that opened up during this unsure time do to covid19. I never thought that I would leave a nail appointment feeling anxious, on the verge of tears, and gaslit, but that is exactly how I felt after visiting Naillist today. I first started getting manicures at Naillist in September and have visited a couple of times since. Prior to my visit on 1/2/22, I was always very satisfied with the nail work I have received from them, particularly from the nail technician named Echo (hence the 2 stars versus 1). Yes, the hygienic practices there have always concerned me a bit (the lack of running water that has been pointed out in previous reviews is 100% true and very strange) but the price for nail art is very reasonable and the location is convenient. However, after my latest experience at Naillist, I do not see myself ever coming back to this establishment. I scheduled an appointment with Naillist for a MANICURE over text message. I clearly stated that I wanted a manicure and needed a nail extension on one nail and ADDITIONALLY needed a previous gel manicure from them removed. I am unsure if the confusion was due to the appointment being rescheduled due to poor weather conditions or the fact that the workers are not fluent in English, but when I came in for my appointment, the workers there insisted that I had only said I needed a manicure removal and that they had no time to do a gel manicure for me. This is why I felt gaslit - I started to question if it were my fault for not communicating clearly, or if I accidentally said I only needed my gel nails removed. After going back to look at our text message conversation, I felt that it was clear that I was booking an appointment for a manicure. The nail technicians then offered to remove the gel on my nails and reschedule me for a manicure for another day, to which I agreed. But then, they said they had time to just do a regular gel manicure, which I agreed to. Then they saw my broken nail which required an extension (which I clearly mentioned while booking my appointment) and then said that they would just do the extension for now and reschedule for the manicure. Ultimately they decided that they did in fact have enough time to do a regular gel manicure for me. I was already confused as to how the nail technicians mistakenly thought I only booked a gel removal appointment, but this back and forth caused me even more confusion. Honestly, I wish I just insisted on rescheduling because the manicure I received was single-handedly the worst I have ever received. The shaping of my nails are completely off. I asked for almond shaped nails. Some are almond, but others look more oval or round. The gel polish job was also sloppy. There was excess nail polish on a couple of my fingers and the polish coat was bumpy and uneven. Throughout the manicure, the nail technician was obviously rushing and extremely stressed. There were several instances where the nail technician would put polish on my nail, mutter something in Mandarin under their breath, and wipe it off with alcohol. Even though I could not understand what was being said, it was very clear that many mistakes were being made while doing my manicure, which made me even more anxious and uncomfortable. I do not think it was the intention of the workers at Naillist to cause me emotional distress or to gaslight me. Some of the issues I experienced could be attributed solely to language barriers. Most of the workers do not speak much English, and I cannot communicate to them in Mandarin, the primary language they speak. Nevertheless, my experience caused me to feel very distressed. I would advise anyone reading this to NOT go to Naillist unless you are fluent in Mandarin or are going to see the nail technician named Echo, who I had great experiences with before. read more

Not clean or sanitary! DO NOT GO HERE. Everything looks like it needs a deep clean - tech stations, full of implements in containers that are out that aren't new, the floors, shelves, all of it. I had an appointment- was taken 45 mins late with no communication. While I was getting my nails done - I watched the tech next to me after finishing a client take dirty implements over to a counter and set them down. She walked back to station - put a few things away, put new paper towels down, no cleaning anything. Then walked back to the same dirty implements, and place them in a "clean" bag!!! She walked them to the station and used the DIRTY implements in a "clean" bag on the next client. I'm in shock. I watched it with my own eyes. Also - no running water here - not sure how it's even allowed to be a nail space here. Honestly now hoping I don't get an infection. My nail tech did a decent job on my nails - but with all the unsanitary conditions, I don't care. I'm horrified. AND was charged $47 for a basic gel mani. My sister who was with me got an acrylic set - and took forever, and was super thick. Was $78 and gonna have to get them redone. I'm sure this place does a fine job with lashes and brows, but for a place with nail in the name you'd think they'd be better at nail services. I booked two pedicures right at opening, and when we arrived they told me they only had one pedicure person! Don't tell someone you can accommodate a small group when you can't. I went ahead and got the pedicure anyway. They rolled out this tiny portable tub and I mean TINY - I had to scrunch my toes and I have size 7 feet! At that point I sent my boyfriend home, no way was it going to fit his feet even if he stuck around to get his pedi done after mine! The service itself was fine - the girl was careful and did a good job. They only had about 2 dozen regular polish options though, and there was certainly no scrub/massage/lotion (I can forgive this considering the pandemic maybe?) There were 3 staff members present, and the bored manicurist spent her time watching something on her phone at a volume louder than the music playing and doing her own nails. Incredible. Last but not least, the spa manicure and the classic are both priced at $35. Please do not waste your money here on nail services, I certainly won't be in the future. read more

They had entertaining tv on, and were very straightforward. But the overall service was low quality. My pedicure was enjoyable and I'd have to say the massage was amazing. However, they cut my toenails into little oval shapes and it turned out unpleasant looking. My acrylic full set was thick and lumpy. The acrylic wasn't filled down evenly, and the layers on layers of gel made my nails look bigger, almost like duck nails. Since I only got white nails, they look like dentures on my fingers. Updating my review. Love getting my nails done here! I think this is my new go to place for quality, long lasting and beautiful nail work. Echo did my nails and she's extremely talented and takes her time to make sure they're perfect. I showed her an example of what I wanted and she nailed it! I have never seen my (real) nails look so good. I was always told by other nail techs that they couldn't shape my nails in almond. She also gave me several options on colors to choose from and made sure it's exactly what I wanted which I appreciate. Super cute salon and a great location in Seattle's Chinatown. I'm obsessed with my nails. Last time I went they lasted over a month, so it's very much worth the price for the quality. I highly recommend this place! read more

I feel horrible cheating on my usual place that I've been going for years (Golden Nails in QA) but i've been wanting more of a cute Japanese design on my nails and this place fits the bill. I still go to the other place for pedicures (the best) and waxing but this place is great. I've broken/chipped my nails before and they are able to get me in within 48 hours to have it fixed and won't charge me (but i still tip them well because one nail takes over 30 minutes to fix from beginning to end) and they are super nice and flexible. I've also gotten my eyelashes done here and it was very reasonable and looked great. Would recommend coming here. I'd also say, have inspirational images as reference as their English isn't the best but still super great. read more

Firstly, the nail tech took almost 4 hours to complete my nails and never in my life have I had to wait that long for acrylic nails. Secondly, the nail tech didn't take the time to file my nails and make all the nails even. Not only that but made the nail super bumpy that it was embarrassingly noticeable if someone looked at my nails. Lastly, they scammed me with the pricing and spoke in another language so that I couldn't understand their made up in the moment pricing they were going to give me.... they even proceeded to show me their pricing pamphlet and tried justifying it even though it was obviously not right. After complaining about a overpriced set they gave me a 10% discount which honestly wasn't even worth it at this point. So yeah in conclusion I tore off the nails a week later and rather have ugly flimsy nails then whatever they gave me. Don't waste your money! read more

Good nails, but.... they did a fantastic job on my nails, but this salon isn't in a space designated for a salon. It's in a large building with individual retail spaces, like stores or offices. There is no running water in the salon, so no hand washing. (Covid?) There are not pedicure chairs with water tubs/drains, so I would not recommend a pedicure. Also- the salon is FREEZING cold. They keep the door open the whole time (it's December). The technician was wearing double layers, but her hands were cold as well. They gave me a blanket but I was miserable. I was shivering so bad when I left, I could barely get into the car. My nails were great but the experience of the salon will likely prevent me from returning. read more

And I understood that with added design it was going to be pricy but I did not like that at the end she didn't even know what to charge me and had just made up a price in that moment.
