Nai does good work - IF he shows up! You only get 2 strikes with me. I made an appt & confirmed it. Because of past experience, I called Nai to confirm he would be there. He said he would have someone to do my pedicure & eyebrows & he would do my nails - cool. I get there about 10 minutes early & am immediately seen. The tech did a great job on my toes. I told the eyebrow tech to just clean me up as I want to keep them full. How bout grandma took too much off the left & now I look like I'm in a state of wonder (that's one eyebrow up). I've done 2 services & no Nai. After waiting a few minutes, I make an inquiry; the tech calls Nai & he says he will be there in 15-20 minutes. I said not to worry about it. Don't think I will patronize you & let you disrespect & devalue my time. Last Friday my daughter had an appt with him. He called & asked her to come an hour later than her appt. I went for a pedicure last Friday around 6:30p and took the first available nail tech. The guy that did them was the fastest pedicure I've ever had and now I know why. The pressure applied to cleaning under my toenails was too much and the tech acknowledged that. Only to find, by the time I got home, my toe was bleeding and I had a small cut on the one next to it that felt like my nail was digging into it. My sister introduced me to Angel as a birthday gift. She straightened my nails, done by a previous tech at a different shop whose job was sloppy. Angel did a very good job at reshaping my nails and giving me my Halloween color. My next visit took a little longer than expected but my nails look like a million dollars. read more

They don't have prices posted inside, which is always not cool to me. I asked for gel, solid color, nothing special, and got the basic pedicure because of time constraints, and it was still $55???? There are better prices elsewhere for what you get. The pedicure looks fine but I won't be back. read more

The wait time was over an hour, and when I sat down a older man did my french tip. Its a simple nude nail with white. The nails turned out horrible and uneven, while being misshaped. I went in for regular pedicure and get my builder gel fill in. Pedicure was ok nothing special. I got finished in about 30 mins and she sent me to dryer where I waited for over 30 minutes to get my nails done. Gentleman came over to look at my nails and asked if they were my natural nails they were with builder gel. He told me I need soak them off and I should try gel x I told him I wasn't interested in gelx. He asked how many fills of builder gel I did I said 4-5 and he said again I need soak off. I said ok, so I waited a few more minutes the girl who did my pedicure came over to drill pff polish I asked him I thought I was soaking it off he said she is taking polish then you soak I said ok. Fast forward I got polish off, soaked but there was still residue on my nails and instead of letting me soak, she sent me to wait again at drying station. After another 30 mins of waiting, the gentleman came over and I sat at his station and he pushed gelx on me, explaining what it is and its not thick and because my natural nails curve gelx is better. I explained to him I did not want a tip, oh its not a tip let me explain what it is. I should have walked out and went to my usual nail salon. I didn't which I now regret after spending $105, $70 for this gelx. Lets start with its full on nail tip over your nail exactly what I didn't want and he cut my natural nails long, didn't fully take off left over builder gel, these fake nails too long and I wanted ferrari red and this color on my nails dont look close to ferrari red on my toes. I hate this gelx and because I paid $70 for them I have to keep them for at least a week or 2before I soak this crap off and get my natural nails back to descent shape after they ruined them with drill and using fake nail pull up residue and peeling my natural nail. I won't be going back here, the gentleman assuming he is owner is an ass, bully and he pushes gelx because its faster but he did poor job, my real nails under not completely flat with fake nail so he put gel underneath which looks horrible. read more

Jessica nipped my nail so much, I had injury a few days later. Couldn't use my thumbs for days. When I mentioned to her that she just cut me , she said "I didn't cut you" and kept on digging in. Hopefully it's just a topical injury and nothing bloodborne contracted. read more

I tried this place for the first time recently. The only thing that makes this review lower than a 5 are the prices. It's in a convenient location, right by the Branch Avenue Metro station. The wait was not long at all for a gel mani and Pedi. They asked me sis I want something to drink when I came in. I got a white wine. The pedicure was relaxing with the massage chair and the massage from the nail tech. I feel like the nail tech that did my manicure was rushing a little, but it was at their closing time. Customer service depends on the day, but mostly rude. Most of the technicians act as though they don't want to be there. I've given them several chances and now I'm done. Went to get a fill and she nicked my nail bed and when I pulled my hand away, she acted as if I did something wrong and on top of that, didn't have me wash my hands before she polished my nails...horrible. read more

I've been coming to this nail salon for months and they always do my nail good. except the two times they messed. Today was the second time that they messed up. The lady who did my nails was clearly rushing wasn't listening to my request because she had AirPods in and then got frustrated because I didn't like the color when I clearly asked for a specific color and did not get said color and proceeded to do my nails in an awful manner. Overall it's not a bad place, but be careful with who does your nails because they will mess them up! read more

Disrespectful worker! Went in for underarm waxing, worker started plucking my eyebrows WITHOUT PERMISSION after I consistently had to tell her no thank you, and that I was trying to grow out my brows. She DID NOT ask permission, she just went in and I stopped her by saying no thank you, and she just smiled, and went in on my OTHER eyebrow. So I had to stop her again! Now my eyebrows are missing hair in random spots, they look blotchy and just in time for the holiday. I just felt disrespected and pissed off that she COULDN'T take NO THANK YOU for an answer. I never write bad reviews but just had to let this be known since she was confidently doing what she wanted, I wonder how many other customers she's done this to. I found Nails by Nai via Instagram. I reached to him because my normal nail tech cancelled on me last minute the day before I was scheduled to go on vacation. Found Nai on Instagram. Viewed pics of his work and was very pleased. I decided to book an appointment, which I did via his website. The service I booked was for a fill and design which listed the price of being $55 and up. It didn't list a price specifying special upgrades. The website is somewhat vague and not very transparent. The day of my appointment, Nai canceled so I rescheduled for a couple of days later. At my appointment, Nai was not very personable. He attended to my nails, which was a decent enough job. I expected him to put oil on my cuticles and lotion on my hands after he was done with my nails, but he didn't. I was very disappointed and felt cheated. Especially, when he told me that the cost for my nails came up to $80! I told him that I was expecting to pay that much. He told me that because I got designs it brought the charge up to that much (and of course he said it with an attitude). Needless to say, I am NEVER going back to him.
