Hello potential customer, A few weeks ago, I was with a friend attending a local community event here at this plaza on 45 Overlea Blvd. We saw a Nails For You salon, we thought to drop in for a manicure and pedicure with a touch of eyebrow waxing, just the girls' thing. WOW, we both couldn't believe the treatments came from a look like a female boss with another older lady staff member who was very rude in greeting customers. They also didn't fully speak English, and when we asked for the type of nails we would like and the choices, both the lady owner and a senior lady staff member could fully understand what we asked about. They proceeded to rush us to do our nails and handed us over to a mid-30s couple of male and female workers sitting way in the corner who seemed they didn't speak English and were raving and gauging us about the prices that the hands and feet were to be. Wow, they talked in their native language so loudly that it seemed they were fighting and changing the actual prices that they wanted us to pay. The jobs the young couple did were poorly. The paint was lum into a bulking on top of my nails. My friend's hands also didn't look nice, and we could have painted ourselves. We have been going from salon to salon for over 20 years. We love many nail salons and their staff, but this particular place needs to change the way the owner operates, and the staff that she hired were unqualified and unapproachable. Other nice staff were available, but it seemed the owner assigned and pushed customers over to the young couple who were clearly underqualified to do the job. The owner seemed to favor this young couple could be her family members.?? so unfair for the other staff to qualify and available.Please check and see this soul talk before you go there. read more

They LITERALLY CANT do NAILS FOR YOU. Looks like I did them myself! Had to come out of Yelp retirement to let y'all kno NOT to waste your money. Just grab some dollarama clip ons and wear those. Even though dollarama nails are so ugly, its the same quality as the work done at Nails For You but it doesn't cost a whopping $90. Even the nail colour is done so poorly--- outside of the nail. There is NO TALENT in that SALON. Even when I said my hands look crooked, he said he would file stuff and he wasn't finished. Like, seriously DONT go here or you're GONNA be angry every moment until these awful nails grow out. SO SLANTED. SO THICK AND DUMB LOOKING. Seriously, why do they do nails if they can't do nails???? All I can ask is " what the hell?!". I came in here and I was the ONLY customer and all I wanted was my nails soaked off ( 20 minutes max). 6 people come in after me with two staff working and I was left there for 25 minutes with my fingers in a bowl of acetone- my skin is destroyed and after I asked " how long am I going to be here for? My regular salon - this takes less than 20 minutes" .... " well... We tol yu, soak off take longer".... Not this long buddy.... 45 minutes later my nails are still soaking and when I asked again.... " anotha 10 minute" No! Just because my service cost 10 bucks doesn't mean you push me to the side. I couldn't stay and I had to walk out- I did not pay.... I still have my nails and now they are worse: you people are absolutely horrible!!! read more

Do not go here.. The staff was super rude and they fucked up my nails by filing them down so much. I just wanted my acrylics filled, the lady insisted that I take them all off and redo it all over again instead of filling them. I felt pressured and felt like she wanted me to spend more money, so I told her to just take them off and I would just keep my real nail. After that, she kept changing the price of the removal, first she said 5 then 10. I was pissed and annoyed and she could tell.. out of spite this woman cut my nails so short and filed them all short. Wish I could put a minus zero rating!! Horrible horrible place! Very unsanitary. Walked in to get quote for biogel nails, was misquoted and did a horrible job. Nails started chipping 2 days after and they would not repair it without paying full price again! I heard a lot of bad reviews about this nail salon I should've had listened to them.my bad. the staff who assisted me he is a chinese guy and He was rude at first i ask for a wifi and he pretend he didn't here me so that's fine after few minutes i asked him again but he said used Fido internet which is just beside them. tho there are posted info there's a free wifi for their customers to use. Ok I can ignored that , thats fine ive' read that from reviews anyway. but the worst thing this guy did was nit doing his job well. he was in a hurry (as if there are customers waiting in line) that it even create bubbles on my nails while he is doing it. I dont know why he is in a hurry there is no customers next to me anyway? so i asked him there are bubbles and it doesn't look good he said he is not yet done so ok fine. So he turned of his lamp so politely asked hin again are you done? and he just gave me the bill, then i ask him again there are bubbles everywhere on my nails and excess polish on my skin finger tips. then the lady come over and check (they speak in chinese so i dont know what are they talking about) he put top coat again just to cover up the bubbles. then i asked him if he can please remove the excess nail polish coz it looks like a mess, he said it will come off on its own "what the *%#*" i insisted that he should take it off. he rudely took cotton with acetone on it ang took it off...geez what a bad experience. I will never ever come back to this salon its a waste of money. its not worth it no wonder they dont have customers. lesson learned I should have listened to the reviews and went somewhere else... read more

WHAT AN EXPERIENCE!!! I was in your store today getting a shellac on my hands by Annie. While waiting for Annie, Mandy was hollering at me from across the room....she was by the bathroom. Extremely rude and then she tells me to "FUCK Off" because I told her her behaviour was rude and unacceptable especially when speaking to customers. I asked her not to speak to me in that manner. This Is NOT the first time that I have had issues with your staff. Today I had to file an incident report with the security. You should be ashamed of yourselves if this is how you operate and treat customers. I will be filing a review with Google as well. In fact the same complaints have been filed in Google. Close down as you clearly know nothing about being professional and polite and most importantly how to treat customers. DISGUSTING!!! read more

I got a quick manicure done at this place and it has been the worst experience yet. It's inexpensive for a reason. Although the staff was friendly at first, the man who did my manicure was aggressive with my nails. He made me bleed TWICE because he cut too deeply into my cuticle. I told him it hurt and stop and he blamed me for not being relaxed. I've had several manicures and this one is the WORST one yet. Do not go here! read more

I was a regular customer and will not be returning. The employees love to try to trick their customers into paying more by ganging up on them. I came in only for a pedicure. This normally costs $30. I was wearing flats. The employee told me that due to policy changes surrounding COVID clients are not allowed to sit once their nails are done to let them dry. I asked her what I was to do then. She told me to get Shellac (because it will dry quickly). I asked how much that would be and she advised $45. I said no thank you, as I did not plan on spending an extra $15. I could tell she got upset but she began doing my nails. About 10 minutes later her colleague came by, they spoke in their language, and the colleague turns to me and advises me to also do Shellac. I explain again that I am not interested. She mentioned that I would not be able to stay and this was the only way around it. She walked away angrily once she saw I wasn't going to budge. Now my nails are done. I'm the only one in my section. The employee doing my nails tells me to leave. I asked her why seeing as no one was around. I asked her if someone needed my chair. She said no. She said that they aren't allowed to have many people in the salon. I pointed out how there were not a lot of people in the salon so no rules are being broken. I offered to move to a chair towards the entrance. She was got mad and walked away. She began staring at me and finally came back and asked me to move. I sat at the front until my nails dried. It was all just an uncomfortable experience. I was truly shocked at their behaviour. This is how you treat your customers and a regular at that? Disgusting. Wish I had read the reviews before going here... There were 2 staff and 2 customers, I was told the wait would be about 20 minutes until she was done with her customer. She told me to choose my shellac colour in the meantime but then 5 minutes later while the other customer's nails were drying she quickly painted my nails. No filing, no cuticle care. Polish is uneven and patchy. Looks horrible around the cuticles, some nails have polish on the skin. Do not recommend. read more

Just had shilac done yesterday. I even told the woman why she has not put more coats of color. She responded because the polish was the best and no need to. Then i told her she missed a part of my nail. She took a sander and sanded my nail...the process took 5 minutes! $23 must say thats a bit much. And to top it off she hurried only to be able to look through an Avon catalogue some woman brought as I sat down. SERIOUSLY THE WORST PLACE. She didnt even thank me for business. Horrible service! I got my gel refills done for $40 with shellac colour. I normally get it done at Urban Nails but decided to try this place and it was such a bad decision. It was rushed, techniques and tools used were poor, as well very few choices for shellac colour. read more

Went here for the first time and won't be going back. The first staff I met was quite rude, gave me a bowl of acetone to soak my nails before even knowing why I was there (and there was nothing on my nails!). On the TV was only Chinese news (none of the clients there were Chinese, only the staff). Pretty thorough pedicure BUT the shellac manicure was pretty bad. There are several areas where the shellac touches the skin around my nail, and on my thumb there is a ridge that has no polish on it! When I asked her to fix it she said there was nothing she could do. I've had many shellac manicures elsewhere and that has never happened; they have always ensured I was happy before I left. After I paid I said thank you to the girl and she ignored me. Oh and many of the polishes were old and goopy in the bottle so, although the selection looks good, many don't look usable. The place is cheap but you get what you pay for in this case. read more
