So the first time I went I had a really great experience with the younger girl who works there. So I went back today and had an older gentleman. From the minute I sat down he began to rush me. He rushed the entire process and cut me a few times. When it came time For color I wanted French tip. He told me to pick both colors (tip and nail) and I said "well what light pink do most people choose??" He couldn't name one single nail color or even help me find one. He didn't give me cuticle oil or lotion or anything. He just rushed me out the door so fast. This is my last week of being pregnant so I was really looking forward to a restful day before baby comes. I paid $50 for a full set with one design on each finger. (The woman that works there did a great job on the marble design). $40 for a fill and new color. This is my regular nail salon, I always get the acrylics & they are AMAZING there. The outside looks a little Las Vegas Strip, but the inside is very quaint and well put together. I pay $35 for a full set of long, acrylic nails. Most places in Battle Creek charge 45-50+ The nail techs are gentle, friendly, and make great conversation. They ask you if you are happy with your services before completing, and it's very welcoming. Highly recommend. read more

Do not go here! I used to have beautiful nails. Now all they do is split every time they grow a little. I started with shellac then was talked into dip. Believe it was the electric tool they used to remove polish. Think technician pressed too hard. Ended up with bruising below the nails first. Then nails started splitting. Right now some of my nails are painfully short due to the splitting. I do NOT recommend this Spa! read more

Called in advance for a manicure and pedicure at the same time. They said yes. Came in for my appointment was seen 20 min late. Water was cold for the pedicure. They had no pricing or listing for manicure and pedicure options. And I know this isn't a requirement but they also do not offer a beverage, which most nail salons I've gone to in the past offer. They also have no WiFi which again...if you're here typically for a few hours, you should have WiFi. About half way through the pedicure, no one had started or mentioned the manicure. When I asked about when they were going to start, they acted surprised as if they had no idea I wanted them together. Then they proceeded to tell me they could not do them together. I had to cancel the manicure due to time since I couldn't sit for an hour long pedicure and then an hour long manicure. Overall, a really bad first experience. For a $45 pedicure I would expect a little more professionalism. Pretty disappointed overall. read more

I had a 1:00 appointment scheduled for this afternoon. I walked into the salon, I sat down to get my nails done, the guy who worked on my nails wasn't very professional. I didn't feel a warm welcome nor did he greet me. (That's when I should've got up and walked out. because customer service and the first impression is everything) Firstly I showed him a inspiration picture of what I wanted for my nails. He said he couldn't do the design. So i showed him another picture which was a photo of a very simple nail length and color. (Nothing to crazy) just a simple manicure with a pearly white color. He said they didn't have that color. Not to mention he was very rough with my hands and fingers. He burnt the corner of my finger with the electric nail file drill. I said "ouch you are a little too close to the skin" after I said that he filed my nails in an aggressively rough way. After I left the salon i got into my vehicle and i started noticing the flaws in my nails. They are not the same length some of my nails on the left hand and my right don't even look remotely close or identical to each other. My middle finger nail looks crooked. There are air bubbles in my thumb nail. (Gel nails shouldn't have bubbles) They look beyond terrible! I walked back into the nail shop to tell "STEVE" the owner I need a refund because my nails look terrible, I absolutely hate them! I basically paid $50 for something I DID NOT WANT!!!! I showed him my nails and he says "we can't give you a refund because he already did all that to your nails!" Honestly I don't recommend this place or any other nail shop in the city of Battle Creek they are ABSOLUTELY FUCKING TERRIBLE!!!!!! read more

The guy was really funny, friendly & we enjoyed our Pedicure. The lady in a chair next to us mentioned that her Shellac slipped off one of her nails. I'd never heard of that before. The guy joked about it & we continued to enjoy our time. That was on 9/28, well yesterday on 10/5 two of my toes did the exact same thing. Polish completely off the pinky toe and the one next to it. They are very pleasant here and they do a very nice job-however- they are now by appointment only which is fine- but you make appointments and they rarely honor them! We had appointments for 4:30, and we sat there for 75 minutes after our appointment time before we were seated with a nail technician. Several people who supposedly had appointments after we did ended up walking out. If you require appointments- HONOR THEM! People who are willing to make appointments do it so we don't have to wait hours for our nails to be done. Stop taking walk ins when you have appointments. read more

The young man that was supposed to help me acted like he was half dead, grumpy; like I had just woke him up. He made me feel like I was an inconvenience. He was not helpful at all. He asked me what color, and pointed to a couple of nail polish bottles on the table. I asked, if this was all I had to choose from? I knew it would be a painful experience so opted not to put myself through it, and I left. What is so wrong with being nice, friendly and welcoming. Saying something kind, like "Hi welcome, glad you stopped in." "How can I help you?" We have several nail colors to choose from, pick one you like. This place looked decent from first impressions. I was greeted and was told the wait would be 40 minutes and I decided to wait. When my time came to get seated, a gentleman with shoulder length hair told me to sit down and asked what color I wanted on my nails. I explained that I wanted to do a base color with a glitter top coat and the gentleman acted exasperated and rolled his eyes at me and said he couldn't do that. I have never been told that couldn't be done and wondered why since it is an easy request and has been done many times before at other nail salons. I explained again and he walked off on me. I waited and waited and then decided to leave as I didn't not want to give my money to this gentleman or this place. If you want any amount of simple, basic customer service, then I would suggest staying away from this place. I went to BC Nails afterwards and they were polite, greeted and sat me right away and had no issues with what I wanted and executed my nails perfectly. If you want to be treated rudely and waste your money, then feel free to try this place. read more

We called ahead about an hour before we were going to arrive and once we got there, we waited only about 10 minutes for chairs to open up. I am from out of town & was looking to get a manicure & get some relaxation in on this trip. I found this place down the street from my hotel & I wasn't super impressed. They only had 3 nail technicians & was told it would be a 10 minute wait but that ended up turning into 20 & then was asked what I wanted again (he forgot he asked me). The manicure was the simplest non fancy manicure I've ever had. Soaked my fingers in water for about 30 seconds, file, cut & paint. That was it. No lotion no hand massage... nothing at all (I am used to getting this back home in California as part of the manicure). The technician doing my nails spoke no English at all & it was really awkward when I asked him a question or tried to have small talk. The shop floor was dirty from dirt & leaves brig blown in. I gave them a 3 because the technician painted my nails really good. If you're in a hurry then don't stop in here & if you're looking for a relaxed environment this place is not the place to hang out. read more
