I've never had issues with waiting to see the doc and she hasn't ever tried to "hint" at specific medications or programs. I've always had a great experience with her staff as well. Everyone clearly knows what they're doing in the office and I'm able to get appointments when I need them. Dr. Yuan even agreed to see me the day after I'd arrived home from China in Jan 2020. Thankfully no COVID. I'm not sure I could recommend her or her practice more. This isn't some place with 40 doctors where you see a different person every time and that's really beneficial because she's gotten to know who I am, what works for me and what doesn't. I also don't have to talk to a new doctor every time I go.

She recognized I got the earliest appointment (would have to wait 1.5 months without meds, after already waiting 5-6 months just for the privilege of seeing this new doc). --but said she won't refill it until she sees me in mid December. What? It's cholesterol meds, not a controlled substance. I said to her nurse/office staff "So let me get this straight...my doc ditches me with no notice, then you send me to this doc and she says she won't give me a refill that my doc that left me prescribed because HER SCHEDULE is too booked to see me in time?" She replied "Yes". I said don't worry, cancel it. I'm done with location and cancelling with my gyno who is part of this practice too because of this. Shawna Kauffman doesn't care about my health. I don't see why she'd care for yours. This location has been a hassle to deal with since day one. These doctors and their egos - they're going to seriously hurt someone here. I'm so sick of lazy docs that think they're all that. Oh, btw, no one has figured out why I lost almost 50 pounds now (with other health issues). So you think I would be a priority. But no. I go on a long wait list just to get the chance at 20 min (if I'm lucky) appointment. No thanks. I'm done with Norton period. So when I was in need of immunizations for an upcoming trip to India, I was in a bind. I called a couple offices under my insurance, and the soonest I could get in as a new patient would be months after my trip. That was the case when I called Norton Community Medical Associates in Mid City Mall too, but the clerk there was able to get me in the following morning due to a cancellation at their sister site on Barret Avenue. And that's how I met Dr. Ana Overley. She was quick and efficient. Chatting with me about my overall health needs, while also getting me what I needed for my trip, which ended up being three vaccinations and some malaria pills. I also appreciate that she didn't redo a bunch of basic dianostic tests and bloodwork that I just had done at my ob/gyn. She just asked that I get a copy and bring the results with the next time I come in. Done. She was easy to talk to and put me at ease. And the staff person, who gave me my shots, also deserves some commendation. I'm not a big fan of needles, and I did not feel the needles go into my arm. Fast and relatively pain-free -- that's what I want when I must get a shot. The office was also immaculately clean. The front desk staff was courteous. I feel better knowing that I now have a primary care office near my home I can rely on.

Called the scheduling center and talked to one of the ladies for several minutes about both of the doctors. She assured me I was in good hands and I kept the appt. First appt. was life changing. After years of basically being treated like nothing was wrong he knew how to fix me! Went back for another appointment a week later. Much smoother check in but still very friendly and efficient at the check in. Went to a section of the 4th floor I didn't see last time. It's like a maze up there. Private clean small room was there and out in no time. Encountered several different nurses and everyone was very friendly. Checked out with easy - next appts were already scheduled last week.
