I was a little nervous going in because I was diagnosed with Alopecia Areata last August and I can be a little picky with my hair. I also haven't had the most encouraging haircuts over the last year. Sure some were better than others, but I never felt like I had someone I could be consistent with. I was never really happy with my hair. JT asked questions, took time to listen, and honestly, made me feel so comfortable within the first few minutes. He absolutely CRUSHED my haircut! I had my second appointment today (9/4/24) and this is the longest I've gone without a haircut or trim! When I was going to Great Clips, I'd go every 2 weeks and when I tried the expensive salons, it was every 2-3 weeks. JT really took the time and it shows! I feel confident and happy. I actually feel like I can grow out my hair into a pixie and I haven't felt like that once this year! I've been everywhere from Great Clips to $80 salons and Phillips Haircutting is not only reasonable, but a solid place to go if you need a haircut. Everyone I've met has been great. I can't recommend JT enough and I'm really thankful that I met him and that he's been able to help me so much already. It took over a year to find someone I can go to consistently, but it was well worth the wait.

I figured it was worth a try and so I went in and asked for Dolly. She prefers appointments but was able to quickly get me in her seat and deliver on her reputation. Great haircuts but not flexible for returning clients…read more I've been going here for about a year now without issue. I try to be generous to anyone who provides a service for me because I value l the relationship and flexibility it often provides. That being said, my haircuts come in at $20 a cut. Each time I bring $40 so essentially tipping 100%. Today, after a year of coming here and tipping 80-120% each time, I was unable to make it in as something came up at work. I promptly rescheduled within an hour of the appointment. I get it, that's a spot, that's income, etc.. In lieu of this, I was sent an $11 charge for cancellation. I totally understand this from a business perspective but I've came here for 12 months (1/month) so my total bill would come to $240 annually but I've paid $480 including tips. I guess I figured a recurring good customer was worth more than a $11 fee. If you want a solid haircut, this is a great place. Personally, it's the best haircut I've ever had but, unfortunately will have to find someone else.
