From the moment we entered the studio with our newborn teeny tiny twins, Jamie and her assistant made us feel completely comfortable and we knew our babies were in amazing hands with them. They handled them with love and care that was comparable to the way a loving mother or grandmother holds their new baby. Jamie asked for our preferences in advance of the shoot and then incorporated every single idea we gave her into a well thought out set of photo shoots. One idea in particular involved getting a whole set of new props that were not easily found. But, Jamie scoured the internet and made it happen. She so far exceeded our expectations that I can't imagine ever using another photographer when it comes to capturing our babies as they grow. She is truly an artist, a professional, and perhaps the sweetest, most kindhearted and honest person you could ever wish to work with.

He knew how to compose shots and make them look great. But most important, the pictures came out wonderful! Finally, his fee was completely reasonable and appropriate to the occasion (unlike other photographers we contacted who said they had a minimum wedding fee whether or not it was a large, standard wedding event). The class does cover some technical detail, but for the most part, it's hands on. It was very laid back, and not intimating what so ever. I found the class very beneficial. There are however, handicap spaces marked for trucks or cars with trailers, which are located very close to the docking area, but none designated for just vehicles with handicapped placards.

Hi my name is Amar dance name. But just to say that Najia is the best. She has taught me for over 6 years and she has brought in many teachers from around the country and the world. Her classes are fantastic! You feel the burn the next day and the more you practice the better you get and the better you feel. Anything that ails you can be cured by her style by dancing. Trust me I fell 10 feet out of a tree and should have broken something but I just worked out my back bones and muscles and in a short time I could dance like a 20 year old. I love her new style of class because you get a great work out. A slow and senual work out that makes you sweat. Yes you hurt a little the next day but the pounds come off. I have lost over 50 pounds. She is worth every penny. And the best part of her classes are the Goddess Nights. When you dress up and some of the students dance it's a magical night. You feel like your in a movie as a harem girl waiting to be rescued by Bing Crosby. Come and join us. Najia knows all of us students on first name basis. Especially our new comers. I took a session of classes with Najia and was not impressed with the overall quality of her lessons based on the high-cost of the classes. The classes are too large for proper instruction and she doesn't help students individually. It seemed strange that classes had a mix of students, some who seemed skilled and others who were just starting. I couldn't seem to get any individual help with understanding what I was doing wrong and the instructions were sometimes unclear or muddled. Furthermore, after spending a lot of money on the class itself, we were continually asked to spend even more money on various "needs". I also greatly disliked the fact that we had to listen to a lecture on "how to lead a vegan lifestyle". This really made me wonder what I signed up for, as it was totally inappropriate. In short, I will not be returning to take classes again, Najia charges too much, continually pushes for more and you don't get the value for your money. read more

I feel that American's don't understand how unsurpassable, how unparalleled Najia's dance and teaching are, and I'm making a distinction here. Her work as a dancer and a performer is as excellent as her teaching. Education is my metier and I know what I'm talking about. I am also from the Middle East and there we breath belly dancing. It's everyday life and we know it as well as Americans know jazz. In 2003 I was living in Beirut, a middle eastern mecca of art and beauty, desperately looking for someone who could teach me belly dancing. It was a hard call and I was finally very fortunate to find a world class artist who was willing to help me. For years I used to compare all my dance teachers to her, but now I compare everyone to Najia. It is very difficult for me to fathom that Najia is not from the Arab world, that she doesn't have oriental dance in her blood. I think it's because she has it in her soul. read more

Najia is wonderful! Extremely knowledgeable, very precise instruction, great pricing and a big, bright heart to boot! I have been studying with Najia weekly for just under a year but have a few years of experience in other styles of dance as well as in yoga. Her classes are structured so that the average beginner and more experienced dancer can dive right in and experience the dance. She is helpful and respectful. What I enjoy most is that Najia includes historical and cultural instruction in her classes so we as dancers can understand the roots of the movement. It fits perfectly into my schedule and is an excellent way to add something extra to your weekly routine (not to mention great for the waistline!) She is always late, confused and out of shape. During her classes she talks too much instead of teaching. I took my very first pole dance class at this studio and it was enough to get me hooked on the…read moresport (yeah I said it!). The owner, Barb, is a former exotic dancer and the official House Mom at Club Onyx. Needless to say her pole skills are tried and true. The staff there is SUPER friendly and encouraging even to newbies who haven't the grace of a newborn baby cow. When you go here be prepared to work. The pole classes will more than likely have brand new people as well as advanced and Barb will encourage you to try everything at least once. I found myself doing things that I would've never imagined in my first class (like inversions!). Learned the walk, a couple of spins, and then tried (in vain) to climb the pole. I found in my first class that my arms and core were much to weak for many of the maneuvers but it was a great workout nonetheless. The only drawbacks I can say is that with this style of teaching you'll either feel really inspired by your lack of skill and get a great desire to learn or you'll end up really discouraged that you're not at the level of others and forgo the sport altogether. The methods of teaching here are very "watch me, now you try" which isn't effective for everyone. In addition to pole instruction classes they offer Abs class, Booty Blast (learn to make it clap), and various other sexy fitness courses. After my first class my body hurt like never before. Being a former competitive swimmer, and short distance runner, this pain was still new to me. I literally couldn't lift my hands directly above my head for 2 weeks. It's an awesome workout and a lot of fun.

Prior to our move my oldest daughter danced there for 15 yrs, she had her last recital this past June. We have loved all 15 yrs and wish we could have continued. Mia couldn't have been happier there and I'm am so happy she danced all 15 yrs at the same studio. Watching MnD grow into the studio it is now has been amazing. I wish them all the luck at the new location and can't wait to see it when we go to Philly for a visit. Our youngest daughter is so sad she will not be able to continue her dance career there. She started danced when she was 3, danced for a couple of yrs but wanted to play sports more, she left dance but then decided she wanted to go back, Miss Staci and MnD welcomed her back with open arms. Molly has made some of the best friends she could ask for at the studio. It has always been a welcoming space for parents and dancers. We are at a new studio and the difference is just mind boggling!!! I know I have to give this new studio a chance, but it's hard when you have been with such a GREAT dance family for so long. I keep asking where are the dance packets, when does intensive start, I need dates, I need more info. MnD needs to go around the country and teach other studios to do what they do, LOL. In true real-life fashion, I accidentally brought the wrong bag of outfits... and my husband had to drive home to get the right one, which took over an hour. But honestly? It turned into a blessing in disguise. While he was gone, we did solo shots, and Aliza was amazing at calming my nerves and helping me ease into everything. I quickly felt comfortable, confident, and like the absolute sexiest version of myself. When my husband arrived, the energy completely shifted -- in the best way. She was friendly, easy to work with, and understood our abilities as well as our personalities to create a perfect dance. It's not always easy getting 3 rambunctious children to cooperate! As expected the photos turned out Amazingly. Today, I brought my daughter for her 1 year photos and it was so relieving to know how great Mary always has been with my daughter. She does not sit still, but Mary had her in such great positions and was ready to snap those quick shots we love so much. I recently got baby photoshoot done by Elanna and I must say she is amazing with babies. Taking…read morepics of an infant is not an easy job and she did it so flawlessly. She was calm, gentle and very patient. She handled the baby so delicately and was so good with the baby. I got the pics captured in 4-5 different setups and they came out so beautifully. Loved all the props and outfits Elanna provided. We went to her studio for the photoshoot and its such a cute lil decor. I highly recommend Elanna for the photoshoots let it be baby photoshoot or pregnancy or first cake smash, she is awesome and good for the price you could get compared to other professional photographers.
