We miss MnD, the only reason we left is because we moved out of state (7 hrs is a lil too far to drive for a dance class). Prior to our move my oldest daughter danced there for 15 yrs, she had her last recital this past June. We have loved all 15 yrs and wish we could have continued. Mia couldn't have been happier there and I'm am so happy she danced all 15 yrs at the same studio. Watching MnD grow into the studio it is now has been amazing. I wish them all the luck at the new location and can't wait to see it when we go to Philly for a visit. Our youngest daughter is so sad she will not be able to continue her dance career there. She started danced when she was 3, danced for a couple of yrs but wanted to play sports more, she left dance but then decided she wanted to go back, Miss Staci and MnD welcomed her back with open arms. Molly has made some of the best friends she could ask for at the studio. It has always been a welcoming space for parents and dancers. We are at a new studio and the difference is just mind boggling!!! I know I have to give this new studio a chance, but it's hard when you have been with such a GREAT dance family for so long. I keep asking where are the dance packets, when does intensive start, I need dates, I need more info. MnD needs to go around the country and teach other studios to do what they do, LOL. My daughter is starting her 11th year dancing at Motion 'N Dance. She has definitely come a long way since her beginnings as a 3 year old who, at first, didn't really want to do it and would cry when she knew it was time to go, that was then. Today she started her freshman year at CAPA, the Creative And Performing Arts High School of Philadelphia as a dance major. She would never have gotten where she is today without the training and dedication taught to her by the teachers and staff of MND. I highly recommend MND to any parent that is thinking about signing their child up for dance. They offer many styles of dance from the standards like, tap, ballet, and jazz to more modern styles such as hip-hop. The staff is friendly and become more of a family than just the people who work there. I could go on and on about how much my wife and I as well as our children love Motion 'N Dance but, I'll leave it up to you to see for yourself. read more

I sent my two children here this year, one did combo another did tap and ballet. The teachers seem attentive and love what they do. The owner was the issue StaciAnn. She comes off as friendly to get you in but she is really rude and really seems all about the money. I was very excited because this place came highly recommended but my experience w the owner will sadly terminate my relationship with the company. A few moms I spoke to also experienced rudeness with Staci and will not be returning either. read more

The top dance studio for family, friends, fun, and dance education... the total experience. My girls and I have been a part of the MND family for over a decade, my girls started from young, when we were in the neighborhood, we have since moved, but the lessons of not only dance but also life, friends, and family have kept us here. The studio is top notch for a number of reasons... starting with the staff, they really care about the kids, they all have their clearances and stay up on the latest dance, they take classes themselves the hip hop teachers also do battles, they have a name for themselves and are versatile in their skills. The staff stays in the "know" and exposes the kids to many opportunities outside of just the studio. This includes competitions, conventions, local events including parades and dancing at community events like nursing homes, tree lightings, building bridges fundraising events. Even beginner students have the opportunity to get involved. The studio is immaculate, the owner really takes pride in making it a clean, comfortable, safe environment for the kids and parents. The older dances interact with the younger ones, and the younger dancers look up to them, it's a beautiful thing to see. Even getting your kids involved at a later age, they feel welcomed. The studio communicates any fees and deadlines up front and do a good job communicating with paperwork, text, social media, etc. as a parent you do have the responsibility to at least be signed up for one option to stay on top of things, the office is very responsive however, problems can arise if you try to be hands off, something can be missed, as long as you play your part, that will not be an issue. Teachers communicate with the kids, and the younger parents but you are asked to direct any questions to the office as to not disrupt the class experience for the dancers. The studio runs on time, which is nice for scheduling purposes with other activities, etc. Each year ends with a dance recital that's better than the last year, I thoroughly enjoy the show every year as do my family and friends, it runs very smoothly and the tickets are advance purchase. In the summer they frequently hold a summer jam experience where new students and existing ones can pick from their favorite classes or try out new ones from the many that are offered in a non-committal trial. The regular season starts in September and runs through June, like the school year. I'm lucky to have found such a great place many years ago, but I did my research before deciding on this studio and it's still one of the best decisions I've made! read more

I started my dance education here as a kid, and it opened up many many doors for me. I am happy to say that I am continuing to guide children here as a teacher and have been teaching here for over 10 years. Staci, the director now who took over for Bobby and Mary Gee is really opening up doors for these kids and really gives them a second home and offers something no other studio in the area does. They not only learn technique, but confidence and each staff member gives them the tools they need to succeed in the future. We treat these kids like our own and love each and every one of them. I am really proud and believe in each of them who walk through the door. One thing I do love is no matter your age there is a class for you. With three studios at one location we have so many different levels available for each age group, so if you are older and get a late start on dancing that is perfectly okay! We have many classes for you to go to. There is something for everyone here at MND. And our boys are phenomenal! Motion N Dance really is a special place and I'm very fortunate to be a part of this family! read more
