Decided to get a piercing last minute and they were able to accommodate me. Communicated and booked via text, which was very convenient. The person communicating with me was knowledgeable and patient enough to answer my questions/concerns. The place was a little chaotic with different tattoo artists in one place attending to their own customers/clients. There is, however, 2 people that would welcome and direct you where to go and that's very helpful. The person who did my piercing was very friendly and made sure to explain the process before, during and after (e.g. how to take care of my piercing so it heals properly). A couple of weeks later from the time I got my ear pierced, it got so swollen that my skin swallowed the stud and I had to pull it out last night. It might be a user error but that was so painful and I would not want to put myself through that pain again. LOL! read more

Had a night out with my husband this past weekend and we decided to get a small tattoo each on a whim. My tattoo artist was Richy (apologies but did not get the artist name for my husband's tattoo). We were greeted immediately and signed paperwork. I love love my finger tattoos and Richy did an amazing job! Richy was extremely hilarious and made the whole experience 10/10. I went in with my sister on Saturday for her to get a tattoo. I ended up with two new tattoos and a piercing and my sister got three tattoos. The shop has such a great vibe. I got my tattoos with Morgan and for a walk in without a plan they came out great! The shading a detail on the flowers on my arm are way more then I expected. My sister got her tattoos by Amanda and the detail she put into them was amazing. The vibe was so fun just chatting with everyone and hanging out. Im pretty irritated. I went in to get my conch pierced and my boyfriend a tattoo. The piercer DID NOT spray down the table I sat on or the table she puts the needle/jewerly on and did not sterilize my jewerly. SHE PUT A FREAKING TONGUE RING IN MY EAR!! it was HUGE and pressing against the side of my head. I HAD to change it when i got home because it pressing against my head/glasses was causing my ear to bend and cause tons of pain. She also told me I can use tea tree oil to clean it(and I "have to use it like 10 times for it to work") which is not correct. The tattoo my boyfriend got was over priced and looked like shit. Literally like a black blob. And yeah I know let it heal itll look better but we have to schedule someone else to fix it because it looks like literal shit. Dont go here. Theyll fuck up your piercings and tattoos, are not hygienic and give you bad after care instructions. WILL NEVER GO HERE AGAIN. read more

I just needed to add something - I've gotten four tattoos here and last night, my fourth, I wanted the zip code of where I used to live. The artist was cool with the numbers and went to draw it up. I then thought about adding a mountain range behind it and told him I wanted it small enough so I could add a mountain range later. Not asking him because they were packing up for an expo. He asked if I wanted it now and did extra for me. And at the end of the tattoo, he seemed happy that I wanted the font he chose for my tattoo. I came in without and appointment and was greeted by the artists in the shop right away. They asked me what i was in for and they quickly told me the next artist coming in would help me right away. I waited about 15 minutes. The artist was Daniel, he quickly got settled and ready to start, he asked what i wanted and did it right away. went there for a couple of ear piercings, as the day I went I saw they were having a small sale of a couple dollars off. I got a flat and a lower helix, however, the jewelry that they were pierced with was the incorrect jewelry and I was not offered the opportunity to choose my own jewelry either. instead of flat backs, which are the recommended jewelry for these kinds of piercings, eyebrow bars were used. the eyebrow bars are too long and move easily, which makes the healing process harder and more painful. this led to an infection and a horrible bump on my lower helix as well as a really tough healing process (got them pierced in June, still have a small bump that hasn't gone away), which was also pierced on the thickest part of my ear. I had to go to premier piercing (which I would recommend as they are the only apa certified shop in Bakersfield, a little more expensive but they know what they're doing) to get the bars replaced for the proper jewerly, costing me more money when all of this could've been avoided in the first place had the correct jewelry been used. this experience made me super sad as the guy who pierced my ears was super sweet and accommodating, and I wanted to return for more piercings. definitely don't get any piercings here if you want them to heal properly :( read more

I went in for a piercing on New Year's Eve, and while I was waiting, a lady with red hair claiming to be the owner of the shop came in with a group of people very clearly drunk. She was yelling at the piercer the F slur and then justified it by saying that it's okay because she's the owner and her boss. Then, when she was leaving to go back to what I assume was the bar, she slapped my butt thinking I was someone else. She then told the piercer to give me a $10 discount on my piercing because I was clearly uncomfortable with her touching me in that manner. I felt bad for the employees as my piercer was very apologetic for her boss's behavior and instead of giving me $10 off, she gave me free upgraded jewelry and didn't charge me for the piercing. I don't know how the owner of a business would think it's okay to show up to their business inebriated and cause such chaos. While I was very satisfied with the service my piercer provided, I'm not sure I'd come back. read more

I got a cartlidge ear piercing here on Sat July 30th 2022. It became infected probably immediately but I started showing symptoms of infection 2 days later. A long story short I ended up at urgent care 2 xs w a shot of antibiotics abs sent hm w oral antibiotics. The next day it was worse and so I went back to urgent care. The urgent care Dr sent me to the ER saying I needed IV antibiotics. Thankfully, the Er Dr. said I did not need IV antibiotics but gave me a very strong pain medication and said that the antibiotics I had already started are pretty much the strongest you can take for this sort of infection. Mind you, I was a surgery assistant for years so I know how to take care of myself and keep things clean. This was 100% the piercer at Naked Al's not using sterile tools and not maintaining a sterile field and after thinking back on it she did not wash her hands before putting on gloves. This little $70 dollar piercing has cost me well over a thousand dollars so far and I have not even received my medical and ER bills yet! Oh! And my husband gave the broad a $30 dollar tip. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT go to Naked Al's. They are very unprofessional and dirty! read more
