I found this nail salon through Yelp and decided to give them a try. I walked in on a Sunday morning without an appointment and was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't busy. I was seated quickly, and the staff was very friendly and welcoming throughout the visit. I treated myself to a gel pedicure and a builder gel manicure. The salon hd a relaxing atmosphere, and I appreciated that I never felt rushed. Unfortunately, the quality of my manicure didn't quite meet my experience. My guilder gel wasn't as smooth was I had hoped and had a few noticeable bumps, and the gel polish started chipping after three days, which was disappointing considering the service. I spent $150 for both services. I'm willing to give them another chance because everyone was so kind and welcoming, and I'm hopeful my next visit will have a better outcome. read more

I had the deluxe head spa, gel pedicure, and regular manicure and had a really good experience. The head spa was the highlight. My scalp felt incredibly clean, my hair was shiny, and it looked great all week. She also checked the pressure throughout to make sure I was comfortable. The mini facial was nice too, especially the heated eye mask, and my skin felt really soft afterward. My only complaint was the way the cleanser was rinsed off with water, which was a little uncomfortable. My nails came out nice, the spa was very clean, and everyone was friendly. I was able to be seen right away without an appointment so I appreciate that. I'm from out of town but haaad to get my nails done. I showed her a photo I saw of Valentines inspired nails and she was able to freehand a cute heart design for me. They came out great. The salon is bright and clean, has tvs and music playing I might not be in the area again but I do recommend you go here if you're in Bakersfield. read more

I requested a gel x set with a design i got off insta along with a gel regular pedi. prices are pretty good for the service since they pay great attention to detail, especially with my gel x set! it was pretty quiet for a saturday since i decided to walk in at 4 pm today and both services took 2 hours total, mainly because of the complexity of my nail design. How this place has four and a half stars is beyond me. I called and asked if they had availability at 5:30pm. They said yes they did, however I ended up waiting nearly a half an hour to be serviced. About 15 minutes of waiting a nail tray was pulled up as if it was about to be my turn, only to find out it was not. In fact, I was only attended to once I stepped outside to call another salon because I was just about done waiting. Once I was starting to get my acrylic set, it felt extremely rushed. One person started the set and another finished. I asked for rounded square and ended up with what looks like duck nails with how they filled the acrylic. The lady who worked on me clearly was rushing though. I'd get them redone if I had time but I have an event this weekend I am traveling for. Just going to deal with them for a few weeks. Despite their sign on the wall stating appointments get priority, clearly that is not the case. Disappointed. In response to the salon response: Regardless if they were busy, I called an hour prior asking if they had availability at 5:30. Instead of telling me their salon was busy, the staff said "sure come in at 5:30" with no indication I'd have to wait around. I should have gone with my gut and went to another salon rather than trust Yelp reviews. My appointment was no honored on time, not even within a reasonable time. I will not be able to get them redone by your salon as I am from out of town and needed my nails done before an event the following day. So I cannot attest if this salon does better than this, as this is my first and only experience from here. read more

This is my nails now! If you look back at my previous review, you'll see what they looked like 6 months ago when I first started coming to Hellen. The difference says it all--my nails are now long, strong, and healthy, and these are my natural gel nails. Thank you so much for your care, consistency, and hard work. This is my second time coming to Dreamy Nail Salon here in Bakersfield. The first time I came with my daughter and was treated exceptionally well. Tracy was her manicurist, she did an excellent job and my daughter was very pleased! This time I came with my mom and Tom did a phenomenal job on her mani/pedi. I was my first time here and I was very impressed. Kim and Tracey are both very talented with nail art and they both took their time and did everything exactly how I wanted. Kim did my fill and most of my nail art and Tracey did my index bat nail and my pedicure. Tracey took her time and gave me an excellent pedicure. I really like this place and had my nails done by Hannah twice already who I really liked. I made an appointment today and had a man who couldn't understand me and my polish is already off one of my toes. He said I couldn't get crystals on my big toe because I didn't get gel. Umm what? Made an appointment for a head spa treatment! Amazing the lady who did it was very detailed and I was very relaxed. Just remember to take off all earrings or jewlery. I took a chance when I found Dreamy Nail Salon on Google. They did not disappoint. Kim gave me a suggestion for my nails and they're adorable. Tai did a fabulous job on my toes. I needed to have a quick pedicure while I was in Bakersfield, so I Googled pedicures. Let me just say, there isn't a shortage of pedicure salons in town. Dreamy nail just popped up in the area I was in, I began to view the reviews but at the time there wasn't many. I took a chance and popped in anyway. To my surprise the salon was brand new! It was beautiful bright and clean. They assigned Tracy to do my pedicure, she was clearly a professional as she did a fabulous job and I left happy and very satisfied! Let me start off by saying that they left my hands soaking in acetone for over 12 minutes and finally once it started burning I pulled my hands out of the acetone. I will never go to another nail salon that makes you soak your fingertips in acetone for that long in order to remove your dip. The person doing it left me there because they went and waxed to somebody's eyebrows. The dip on my nail is over my cuticle and I asked her to do something about it and she just told me that was the shape of my fingernail. I get my nails done regularly and have for years so I know what the shape of my fingernail is. It was such a disappointing experience. I will say that the pedicure was actually pretty good but the packages they show you don't make a lot of sense. It was 25.00 more than what I normally pay at my regular nail place that does a way better job. I asked for 5 minutes of extra massage that I did not get. If you're not going to do the full massage time you should probably remove the clock from the wall. That's what I get for cheating on my regular nail place and I've learned my lesson. I don't know how it has all these high ratings. If you go there, only go for a pedicure. Never again!

I made an appointment for 3:30 for 3 pedicures for me and my friends. We got there and were immediately seated. They were absolutely amazing. The salon was so cute and clean! They were attentive to all our needs. I will definitely be coming back. The prices were a bit high but it was definitely worth it. They served drinks and it was a nice time. read more

I've been here 2 times now and have had 5 star experience both times! The pedicure is detailed and you actually get a good massage and my feet have never felt cleaner after a pedicure! I didn't do color this time just because I was taking a break from polish and my nails look so healthy and amazing!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND read more

I had such a great experience! The facial left my skin clean, soft, and glowing, and you can tell they use quality products. The head spa was incredibly relaxing--perfect for melting away stress. The nail clippers were not opened from a new package, and the drill bit did not appear to be fresh or newly sanitized before being used on me. The floor was dirty, there was dark buildup between the tiles that looked like possible mold or heavy grime, and the same old dirty mop was being used to clean it. The entire place felt unsanitary and poorly maintained. I would not recommend this salon. You are better off finding a private nail tech who takes cleanliness, quality, and honest business practices seriously.

For such a new business, it seems to be declining much faster than expected. As for customer service, it appears that the best treatment is reserved for customers spending large amounts of money or those requesting certain technicians. I specifically requested Brenda, an amazing nail technician who happens to be Hispanic. The moment I asked for her, the receptionist visibly rolled her eyes and appeared annoyed. She directed me to sit in the front area, while I noticed other customers arriving after me were seated comfortably in the booths. My biggest concern is pricing transparency. During my most recent visit, I was charged $110 before tip for an overlay, cat-eye polish, and a simple design. The receptionist broke down the charges as $40 for cat-eye, $25 for the design, and $15 for chrome. The chrome charge only appeared after I questioned the total, which made me feel like additional fees were being added to justify the price. I genuinely believe I was overcharged because I requested Brenda. To put it into perspective, the customer sitting next to me paid only slightly more but had significantly longer nails and a much more intricate design. Because of this experience, I strongly recommend asking for a complete price breakdown before sitting down for service. This business has potential, but inconsistent pricing and poor customer service at the front desk will hurt its reputation if not addressed. I am giving it one more opportunity because Brenda does excellent work, but management should take customer concerns seriously and ensure pricing is fair, consistent, and clearly communicated.
