A surprisingly popular Japanese cafe that unfortunately did not pluck this Geisha's shamisen.
Judging by the crowds I had seen at this place I anticipated delicious things. What I was greeted with though was a very basic cafe with food court style offerings.
The seaweed salad was drowned in dressing. The California roll was pre made and not great. Gasp. I do not expect pre made when ordering from a menu.
The yakiniku beef was the cheapest cut possible and the salmon steaks whilst piping hot were dry and disappointingly bland.
Adding to the meh feeling was some truly depressing, non Japanese music.
Not sure if there is a magical dish that brings in the crowds but we certainly did have it and won't be back to try again. read more
