I waited a while to think about this place. I can say that food wise it's far and away the tastiest…read moreIndian food I've eaten in a very long time and I do eat a lot of good Indian food most months. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place to anyone. The food portions are mostly very generous, in fact only the naan breads were small. They were more like crisp-breads, tasty but crisp. These should be bigger, more airy, heat blistered and bubbly bready. It was a balmy early afternoon in May. We had 27 degree heat, high sun, blue sky, white sand and sea and 10 of us (6 alleged adults & 4 kids) left the beach after a few hours of toasting to have lunch. One of our sons has been to this restaurant quite a few times over the last two years and he raved about it. He was spot on. He went off lunch deal and had a chicken korma - the almond powder and condensed milk in it made it a deliciously rich, sweet and thick dish. The restaurant has an open kitchen, so you can opt to watch the chef cooking (if you do you might need to get out more) and it has a completely airy open front area, leading right out onto a busy street. It's situated about 10 minutes walk from our part of the beach. We were near a Mc Donald's. We passed by many tacky over - priced rubbish shops and y'know I still can't figure out how so many crap shops can remain open. The restaurant serves up good cold beer and with the food makes it all just perfect on hot days. They had details of a €9.90 lunch offer hanging on a board outside (about £7.50) essentially for two courses. We asked for a pile of poppadoms which arrived with a few dishes of the usual four various dips: a fruity one, a mint yoghurt one, a chilli hot one, with of course the chopped onion, coriander & cucumber one to whet our beery appetites. The starter deal choice was onion bhaji or vegetable samosa. I had the bhaji: two very plump ones divided into 4 halves, oh they were just divine. Two chicken curry mains, one just called a curry which I chose, and to me it was a so perfect butter chicken with lots of moreish sauce; the other chicken dish I don't recall the name but we decided it was similar in taste to rogan josh. The remaining choice was either rice or naan to go with the meat main. All of us raved about most of the food we had, just the naan bread was not fully up to par. Service was pretty good too. All of us would go back here in a heart beat. The reason I held back is that out of the six adults, four of us, including me, had diarrhea within a day of eating here and I normally have a cast iron constitution. I can't categorically say it was eating (or drinking) here but one of the party who was also sick was completely separate from the rest of the sufferers. This was the only place/meal that we all had a meal in common and we were all hit within 12 hours. It was just as likely the booze. This does not change any of our opinions on this place or the food as we would all return in a heartbeat. I will save you all a lecture about the huge problems of constipation in the western world too as I'm in good mood. Warm sunshine usually makes me smile.

Wanted to try some Indian food in Barcelona and glad we came across this place…read more Very lovely aesthetic on the inside and they even Serve the food in those metal plates which was nice. Portion size itself was fairly decent and I'm glad we ordered just the right amount of food for the group. The Chicken Dal (chicken dhansak I think they called it) was very unique! First time I've had a dish that was chicken and dal together and it was really nice. First time I've had a dish that was chicken and all together and it was really nice especially with the jeera rice! Brother ordered the Butter Chicken and it was very flavorful as well. Loved the Chicken Tikka too! Lamb Rogan Josh actually came quite salty! Like it was unbelievably saw me so we told the server and they were quick to replace it. Even got us an extra dessert to make up at the end. Pudina Paratha was also quite nice! Flaky and just the right amount of flavor in there. Got the Gulab Jamun For dessert and it was the perfect amount of sweetness. I usually feel they end up getting too sugary sweet but this was perfect! They brought us one on the house and now that we had two on the table one of them was notably different from the other. I think it was just that it was extremely hot! Like you actually had to blow on it and it would have burned your mouth if you didn't do that first. Overall very delicious!

The Indian food here is spectacular and I would recommend the Tikka masala and the Korma curry, when it comes to Indian food they know what they are doing. The small portion of chicken tikka masala was full of bell peppers (capsicum) and was in a harsh red sauce. Tasted like they opened a can of tomato paste, added some spices and a few vegetable and called it a day. They did not use the recipe which has cream. Have eaten Tikka Masala hundreds of times and it has never had bell peppers and has always used cream for a creamy red sauce. The naan bread, which was extra and on the pricy side was dense and twice as thick as traditional naan. Could not fold to scoop up food. I'd ordered white basmati rice, also a pricey extra charge but they served rice that had oil and other ingredients in it, presumably so they could up charge for it. Small portion of chicken tikka masala, rice, naan and a small water ended up costing $29 euros. Left hungry. The restaurant is on a prime corner location and highly visible so should have been packed but had just a few customers. Unsuspecting tourists, like myself, I presume. I would have given it one star but the staff was very friendly so giving it two. Unfortunate experience.
