Unfortunately, the fiberglass had developed some serious oxidation, especially on the front cap. I tried the ol' wax by elbow grease method, but it wasn't working. After watching several "You Tube" videos on polishing technics, I ventured out into the big box and auto parts store world to find cutting compounds, polishes, pads and a polishing machine. I search high and low everywhere in Central Oregon and to my complete surprise, these types of stores stock almost nothing I needed to get started on my DIY detail adventure. I concluded that all this stuff was available only on line. UNTIL I FOUND DIAMOND IN THE ROUGH DETAILING SUPPLY STORE IN REDMOND OREGON! They have everything you could possibly need for auto, marine and RV detailing. The Diamond team are very knowable and set me up with all the right stuff (remember I am a complete newly). The problem I have is when I showed up to pick it up, the price I was charged was almost double what I was quoted when I made the appointment. The quote I was given was suppose to cover standard wash/wax to worse case (very dirty, etc). I was charged almost double of the "worst case scenario quote. Then, of course I did not have even close to enough cash so I was charged a large service fee to use my credit card. Again, great work but the communication is lacking . I was a bit shell shocked walking out of there!
