They allow you to browse the store and start a fitting room. There's isn't much sales pressure and there is always a dedicated attendant to assist you with zipping up the dress. I felt comfortable and assisted in the right way when needed. I found a dress I was in love with, however it was in a rough condition. The sales lady tried her best to alter and steam the issue and even assisted with better pricing to offset the minor issue. I walked away and went for a coffee and browsed a few other stores, when I realized the way these dresses fit my body at this store is nothing like the other big boxed stores for straight and narrow body types. Most of their dresses are long sleeved, high-necked and fully lined. They have a few armless ones as well. They also have a selection of Abayas, Afghan Wear, Hijabs and Kaftans. The owners are super accommodating and I never feel pressured. I made a few visits and tried on over 6 gowns before making a final decision. They have a spacious fitting room. Their gowns are typically formal, price ranges are from $200-$300 for something really extravagant. They have an on-site tailor (extra charge) that can make adjustments to dress. I've had a hem done by him and he did a great job. I've lived in TO all my life and I don't think I've ever seen a store with so much beautiful dresses (that aren't an Indian style) that can accommodate a modest person. I will be visiting again! Their website is not exactly clear and concise so be aware that any of their 'deals' such (as a bamboo t-shirt with two free pairs of socks) does not apply at the Waterman building. It's just a re-purposed office as a display area. No problem. I ended up buying about 60 dollars worth of socks for the family. Different colours, styles and materials.....every pair we purchased looked and felt great. I put them away for future use....but now that we're starting to dig into our 'new sock stash' we've come across 3 pairs of socks with significant flaws. I'm not talking about a little loose thread, or a dropped stitch. We're talking about holes big enough to put three fingers through and they're brand new/unworn/straight out of the package. If you do purchase from this company, inspect every sock individually.....toes, heels, shank and seams. I've marked this as 'pricey'....not because the socks are expensive but because 30% (so far) of our purchase was a waste of money.

We were able to fit in an appointment the day before for Sunday at 11 a.m. Despite the dingy outside appearances, there's quite a great selection of dresses, and Susan, the sales rep who helped my friend, had a great attitude and fetched some great dresses. We came out with three great options. I don't know what my friend will decide on in the end; that's up to her. But out of all the stores we went to, we felt like we had the best customer try-on experience here. There wasn't any pressure to buy, and Susan was genuinely positive and friendly; we felt comfortable with her. Plus, the dress prices were more affordable, about $1100-$1200 for the ones we liked. Though the quality of the fabric may not be as high as some of the other dresses we tried on at more premium stores, what's most important is the style and how it looks in photographs. Though I think we only mentioned a budget of $1500 so maybe there are higher quality dresses at a higher price point. The customer service and value is among the best. Definitely give them a look if you're in the market for wedding dresses.

I like that this Winners is located along my route home. The store is located on the second floor of the building. Elevator and escalator access are available. I came here looking for dresses and shoes for upcoming weddings that I would be attending last fall. In the past I have noticed that this location carries a good selection of high end shoe brands and clothing. I've had success finding comfortable, affordable but fashionable shoes here. On one of my last visits the checkout lines were long but there were a number of staff serving at the counters so the wait was not too bad. Parking lots tend to get fairly full in this plaza and a bit convoluted to navigate. There are arrows painted on the lane ways to assist with directionality. Some people just choose not to follow these.
