Located on the little shopping strip of Bay St. Louis, Social Chair drew me in with it's cute knick…read moreknacks in the window. Let's be honest, it is full of a bunch of cute stuff that no one really "needs" but when you're out taking in the little city of BSL, you just find yourself buying it. I was killing time on Saturday and dropped in and got a couple of fun gifts for the different birthdays and holidays approaching. I did LOVE the many different and affordable nativity sets they had. I would have purchased one had been able to get a little closer (ppl were blocking the area). The store is VERY crammed with stuff and displays, so when there are large groups of women doing girls weekend and bachelorette parties, it can get a bit overwhelming. (Such was the case on Saturday - these women weren't budging and i had to actually climb under one's purse to get around them without knocking down a display.) No fault of the store... But the displays are everywhere! Every time I looked back at one, I felt like something else had popped up on it! The employee at the counter was super friendly and personable, she made everyone feel like they had been friends for years. Can't go wrong with staff like her! They gift wrap too, but I opted not to go that route. I look forward to returning next time I'm in the area to see what seasonal items they have.

I fully recommend anyone coming here if in need of a gift or a little something for yourself. Outside there are rainbow painted chairs to sit and relax on. Inside are t-shirts all about the beach and living that sand life, local handcrafted items, handbags, oh my! And get yourself a tiara next time you come in and be the Queen that you really are!

I thought great. A largish doilies was priced $396 with 80% off it was about $80 bucks! See my photos. Right at entrance to this shop were maga pro Trump Tshirts advertising gulf of America. I walked in, verbally and physically acknowledged the 2 shopkeepers, one who had the most cold look on her face, very unfriendly and looked at me in a suspicious manner. No smile. Never stopped looking at me until I walked away to the left of the store. She wasn't doing any task. She just stood, looking at me. The other lady, the same, but at least said hello. The one lady followed me through the entire perimeter of the store. Not once did she ask me, "Can I help you?" Not once did she say, "Are you looking for anything in particular?" If she had, I would have told her exactly what I was looking for. This, by the way, is the PROPER way to surveil your store to keep an eye on your customers. Not follow them around very apparently; that makes a very rude statement (non-verbal, of course) that says: I'm watching you. I've singled out you. It's inappropriate, it's not the correct and mannerly form to prevent shoplifting. I will never be back and I won't ever forget how u made me feel. Whether you purposefully wanted to make someone feel bad today, I will never know. But u did. Put up cameras visibly. Put up the large round mirrors. And yes, keep walking around your store. But talk to your customer. Ask them while they are in the store shopping if you can help them. Ask what they are looking for. Treat everyone the SAME or treat them like you care. Or pretend to.
