We were told the job would take three weeks to complete, 1 for the outside and 2 for the inside. The first week, a crew of 4 arrived, they started on the outside of the house. For the first 1 1/2 weeks they did great, so good in fact, that we thought at the rate they were going they would be done with everything in another week. Then the company started messing with the crew. Instead of being at our house from 9-5 they were there from 9-1 or 10-2; then off somewhere else. They pulled people off our house and substituted with others, and things started going downhill. Instead of the 3 weeks we were told, it took 5 1/2 weeks to complete the project. They started creating problems they had to come back to fix. They caulked between the garage doors and the stone wall and then used a white caulk, and of course it spread out over the wood and stone, then they painted to cover it up. It looked terrible with a jagged edge on the stone. They had to come back, cut the caulk back to the wood, then recaulk with clear and repaint. They took 10 wood blinds out of the windows. Some of the windows had wood frames, some were plaster frames. They were told the blinds would not be going back up. The windows with the plaster molding needed to be filled and smoothed. Some they did and some they just painted over and left the rough area where the brackets had been. They had to go back and fix this problem. We noticed when they were done that some of the rooms they had gotten paint on the edge of the ceiling; there was also some paint from prior paint jobs along the edge as well. We mentioned the problem, they decided they were going to try and fix it. Edura started and was doing an excellent job with a small brush. Next thing we knew they pulled him the next day, someone else took over the job but used a 1 1/2 - 2-inch brush and made it very visible. They went and got paint and tried to match the old ceiling paint. It was better but still very noticeable. One of the supervisors came in and told us they would have to paint the entire ceilings; another came in and said it had only been old paint on the ceiling so it wasn't their fault. There was old paint AND new paint on the ceiling, and THEY had decided to fix it. You can still see the different colors. The problems went on. We kept hearing that it was not their fault, they were just trying to make it right for us. From their perspective, it was our fault. We were the reason they had to fix the mess THEY created. Outside of the ceilings, the final project does look good, even though the ceiling is still a problem. So I rated them a 2 instead of a 1. I cannot recommend using them as 5 1/2 weeks vs 3 weeks is a lot of our time and not what we were told.

The did not cut the direction we wanted so that put everything in the kitchen granite running different than we said. (language barrier maybe?? ) That made us have to change our backsplash because of the clashing patterns. Our appointment time was set in the books for 2 weeks. I took the day off work. our 930 appointment came and went - they showed up after 2 pm that day. I even drove to their building at noon because nobody was answering my calls or emails. Dave the Owner shrugged his shoulders and asked what we wanted him to do about it he had people out sick. I said "A courtesy phone call would of went a LONG ways!" Mid American Granite & Stone had to come out a couple times to make things right; from not having rounded corner on one of the edges, to a broken piece of granite and the sink was not set down property in the hole they digitally scanned our kitchen for (and in trying to make right they damaged our brand new kitchen sink and they cut and destroyed the entire left side of the sink cabinet.) They never asked if they could cut they just did. They never call or text they just show up even though I had several text saying they would call first. They were ALWAYS late and I never got a phone call. Having them come out to fix issues caused us more problems/damages not to mention sloppy silicone job that is all over the new sink. We have made agreement on fixing price to help make things right. I just wanted to put review for anyone that is reading this about our experience. The pre purchase experience is wonderful. but once you give them money they forget the customer service!!!

The other bathroom sink and cabinet did not quite work out in practice the way it was envisioned with the initial drawings and concept. Mark worked hard to fix the issues and the end result was something that was very usable and looked very nice. We were very satisfied with the end results in both bathrooms. Still happy with the kitchen remodel after several years of use.

Chris at Chiseled did a fine job building a pantry for me based off something I loved from…read morePinterest. My space was smaller than standard sized doors would work with and required screen doors. He worked with me to brainstorm a solution that was within a price that I was willing to pay. He ended up getting two, two panel doors, cutting out the top panels and installed screens in them. The bottom panels were hollow so couldn't hold the storage/spice racks. So I found some wire spice racks of lighter weight on Amazon and, true to his word, he came back and installed them for me after I had paid him in full with no hassle. (He was the only person this happened with on my full house remodel. I had one guy refuse to come back and finish his work period. So I hired someone else to finish up, and it drug on and on with delay after delay.) The shelves he built for me are crazy strong and sturdy. I don't have to worry about overloading any of the shelves, ever! I have cats that are good at getting into places they shouldn't, he suggested a strong magnetic latch at the top and it has worked wonderfully to keep the cats out. They don't even try to get the doors open! The only way they get in there is if I leave the door(s) open to long, as I did when taking the pictures. For my kitchen I bought a whopping huge apron sink. It wouldn't fit in any standard sink base. So Chris modified a standard sink base to properly support my apron sink. I have been very pleased with his work. Everyone who sees the pantry he built, wants one just like it. I will upload photos of the pantry including the Pinterest post I modeled it after.
