She recently handled a transaction for a buyer of my property. On the expected day of closing, she asked for a two week extension because she herself could not close on the loan. In order for me to understand what was happening, I spoke to her myself. She said that she would need to outsource the loan to a broker because there was nothing else that she and the company could do, but had a broker who would close on the loan. She only communicates this information after my realtor has consistently followed up with her throughout the process to ensure that the buyers would be able to close. She did not communicate any red flags of the buyer not being able to close throughout the entire process until the expected day of closing. When I spoke to her, she spoke to me as if it was guaranteed that the broker would be able to close and requested for a two week extension. Although my husband and I were hesitant, she sounded promising and we agreed to extend. She said "she always worked with this broker" and already told them of the buyer's situation. She said "we will get this done." She also stated that the buyer was really good, and that if she had money, she would loan him the money herself. Two weeks past, and yet again, she asked for an extension telling my realtor that they already sent the closing disclosures and was in line for final underwriting. She used the excuse of the July 4th holiday that was causing the delay. When asked why it was taking so long and pressed to close sooner, she said she would try to push the broker to close sooner (Tuesday), but the buyers already took off on Thursday for closing signing. On the day of the "sooner" day (Tuesday), we were notified that the buyers could not be approved. Throughout the entire process my realtor kept on her following up to make sure everything was going as planned. On Tuesday, she did not have the courtesy and decency to return calls from my realtor to explain what went wrong herself. She had excuse after excuse throughout the process about why things were taking so long, but kept assuring my realtor that we were going to close. Jennifer is not to be trusted and has many excuses during the process. What was supposed to be a 30 day close turned into 60 days, and in the end resulted in the buyer losing their earnest money and us wasting our time trusting her word. She does not belong in this industry. Her actions goes against the company's mission, "We are committed to making this experience simple and enjoyable from the beginning to the end." It was a horrible experience with zero transparency. While I am upset as a seller for having her string us along with her excuses, promises, and wasting time while we could have been in contract with an actual buyer who had potential to qualify, I also feel for the buyers in this situation who lost their earnest money and were given hope that they would be able to purchase their first home. We lost valuable time and energy meeting timelines and signing addendum after addendum to extend the closing, all for nothing. If you are a buyer, do not use this company. If you are a seller, be sure that your buyer does not use this company as a lender. You will be strung along. I understand that there are guidelines and processes that need to be followed, but transparency is also important. If a buyer has red flags, communicate that information early on rather than promising the moon and the stars.

I wondered how working with someone located in a different state would work. Well, the outcome says it all. I'm new...well, not anymore...to the home buying process and Coby was very patient with the number of calls, emails, and texts I sent him...and I sent him a lot. He answered all my questions and concerns in a timely manner. He moved quickly and efficiently throughout the entire process. Follow-through is very important to me and he did what he said he was going to do. We closed quickly and I am now a homeowner/landlord....so that says a lot. He is knowledgeable, professional, and honest. He also has a wonderful personality which made me enjoy working with him. Still reading my review? Dial his number and see for yourself. What are you waiting for? Oh yeah, and thank you to Coby (and his team) for making homeownership a dream come true!
