While i n this hospital I was very well taken care in a quick manner. Each time I have came here I had a 5 minute or less wait time. Parking is sometimes tricky to find as the small parking lot is pretty full most of the time. The staff, nurses, greeters, doctors, and techs have all been friendly, caring, knowledgeable, and helpful to me for my various visits for all types of different exams. I do not find any faults with this hospital, its staff, or how they treat anyone before or after an exam. Everything goes smooth and as planned and test results come back quickly. Some small towns have hospitals that are more like a band-aid and an aspirin station, but this hospital does as well as the big city hospitals for the things I needed done.

This location is the brand new Shelbyville Hospital that is still under construction, but has a wing a 2 floors open for business. The old downtown hospital is still in operation too. This new hospital is very nice, clean, well laid out, and as expected for a brand new facility. I have been here a few times for various appointments and like what they have built so far, and once completed this will be a very nice hospital. My only issue with this new hospital is that it is located outside of town, near the i74 and St Rd 9 intersection, and located about 1 mile off St Rd 9 way, way back in what used to be cornfields. I am sure this is the closest mass of land they could find to buy to build such a large complex upon, but still, it's not in the center of Shelbyville, like the old hospital is, so it is not nearly as convenient, and seems like it will take several more minutes to get too, even if by ambulance. And sometimes minutes critically count in emergency situations. Other than the location, I think this is a great hospital and will continue to get better as it nears completion.

I love how they have stairs right at the entrance when you enter the main section of the building with the elevators behind the stairs, helping it to be easier and convenient for people to not be lazy that CAN walk, to take the STAIRS! The building is energy efficient with the patient rooms on movement detectors which saves a lot of energy in the long run. They have self check in kiosks and their laboratory is much bigger and lessens the anxiety of knowing where you are in line, so that u know how long you will have to wait by watching a monitor for status progress. I have visited 5-6 different specialists in this hospital and I've had a pleasant quick experience with very, very low waiting time.

I…read morego here for my lower back pain, and they help me by trying to get me to stretch and ride a stationary bicycle. The heat pad on the back they have feels great. The office staff and therapist are all nice and friendly and seem to care and want to be helpful. Clean, large well lit location near where the new hospital is being built. Lots of exercise machines, like a gym, inside and several massage type tables for them to help you stretch on. From children to the elderly all come here for rehabilitation and to fix their aches and pains.

This has occurred to us in four separate occasions. We AARP COMPLETE MEDICARE INSURANCE WITH UNITED HEALTH CARE. The billing area of the hospital evidently does not understand how this insurance program works. We have learned to use the facilities of Franciscan Health Network and have never had an issue or error. One would have to be concerned about the trustworthiness of a hospital if the little things are consistently screwed up. What's more they seem to know it is common and therefore unapologetic.
