For the first time ever, the food was sub-par. My omelette looked nothing like the previous ones, had canned mushrooms and was sitting in a pool of water. My husband's steak was very well done, not even a trace of pink . He brought his plate back to the counter to request a new order and by the time he got his food, I was done with mine. As soon as he touched the steak, he could tell it was almost raw. When he cut into it, it was plain to see that it was dark red and raw inside. He showed the waitress and she offered to have it cooked again, but since I was already done eating, we paid for my omelette and left.

The kind of joint where the regular crowd of old-timers comes in every morning for coffee and conversation, and you'll see soldiers in here occasionally from the local Army National Guard Stryker Brigade. Not a fancy place by far, they serve breakfast and lunch, and the hours are Mon.-Sat. 7am-2pm, and Sunday, 7-1. The only thing I wish this place had was real butter instead of a margarine blend, otherwise a decent place for breakfast or lunch.

They even made a decaf latte for our coffee-loving 9 year old. But even better are their baked goods (lots of gluten free options and SO full of flavor) and bagels. I usually can't eat more than a few bites of sweet breakfast dishes ... this is one of the few exceptions. Can't wait to come back!
