After walking all day in Oxford, we decided to hit up Nando's. I never heard of it, but my sister said it was a must because she heard great things about it. Honestly, it's like a classier version of Buffalo Wild Wings/KFC. You choose what chicken entree you'd like and it comes with different heat levels. They have extra sauces in these huge glass bottles that you can use (which are actually good) because the chicken can lean on the dry side. We got the whole chicken meal and did half medium and half spicy. We also got a side of their seasoned fries and coleslaw, but the whole meal in and of itself was alright, nothing spectacular. If you're ever in Oxford, eat somewhere else. They have a great, warm, welcoming staff, but I'm sure you can find something better here in Oxford. Cheers! :)

Nando offered various degrees of spiciness for its chicken and chicken wings. It has nice selection of side dishes to go with chicken and you can pick your own sauce bottle for your chicken if you want additional flavor. The chicken wings that I have ordered were very tasty and tender. The ambiance was great as well. It was lively and had a lot of local students there. The price was also decent as well.

Really tasty!! First time having peri peri sauce chicken and it was amazing and addictively good!! I would so come back. To avoid dry chicken I suggest getting chicken thighs or wings over the breast!! Peri peri sauce is so good!!

Nandos is without doubt the best chicken around - and oxford is no exception; great chicken, service and staff; highly recommended!

Huge delay (over 40mins) for food to get onto the table when only half of the tables in the restaurant is occupied.

Was in a hurry as we were off to the theatre and they really pulled out the stops, the food is good and so is the atmosphere.

The wait to be seated can be quite long, but it is worth it! The food is great as with any other nandos. Definitely recommended.

THAT Kebab Kid would get 5 stars from me in a heartbeat. Great service, good amount of tables, delicious food served quickly, convenient location... yeah. Cowley gets 5 stars. Gloucester Green... 3 stars. There's about 5 seats total in this restaurant - it's definitely more geared for takeaway. I'd recommend the takeaway option myself, as the seats and counters that are there aren't the cleanest. The service was decent, the food delicious as always, and they have Rubicon Mango, which is like nectar from the gods. This location is convenient for those staying at Oxford's hostels or just stepping off/on the bus or train, since it's near both stations. If your visit to Oxford is quick, stop in and grab a kebab naan to go. If you have more time to spend... hop on the bus to Cowley Road to sit down and enjoy your meal. It's across from Tesco and the logo looks like a cross between Elvis and Johnny Bravo- you can't miss it.

I wish I could like this place but this meal missed the mark…read more Oxford suffers from few takeaway places in the city center surrounding Banbury and Gloucester Green. And no proper fish and chip shops. So this place had a tall order to fill to chip craving. Points earned for naan use instead of pita on the doner kebab. Point for chips that stayed crispy despite styrofoam packaging through the short cab ride up Banbury Road to north Oxford. No points for the foul meat in the doner - it tasted more artificial than it should. Horrid white creamy sauce applied on top. Mayo? Yuck. Definitely not tsatziki. No points for the lack of heat in the chili sauce. No points for the four pound fifty price tag for a doner and chips. In short, in this town where parents are more likely to pop in to take their children out to gastropub food or a proper restaurant, you will be hard pressed to find a good kebab or chip shop in town near Gloucester green. Btw, where was Hassan's van?? Bc it wasn't on Broad street tonight.
