I visited SF Auto Labs yesterday and rented garage space and a vehicle lift to do a complete brake…read morejob on my car. Before going, I bought and brought all of my own tools because I had seen a previous review saying the shop advertised tools but did not actually provide them. That was not my experience at all. SF Auto Labs had the tools needed to complete the brake job. Alex was especially helpful. Since it was my first time doing this type of work on my vehicle, he took the time to show me how to properly use the lift and checked in on me occasionally throughout the day. He also helped demonstrate how to use the rear caliper brake tool when I was having trouble with it due to inexperience. Overall, I had a very positive experience and would highly recommend SF Auto Labs to anyone who needs a garage space and lift to work on their car. I also found the full-day rate reasonable and worth it. One note for other customers: please clean the tools and return them where you found them, or where they belong. Keeping the workspace organized and clutter-free makes the experience better for everyone.

I needed to change the skid plates under my Tesla Model 3 and it seems so much easier to rent a car…read morelift instead of getting tire jacks for the car. Also the aluminum plates are a little heavier than the fiber board original skid plates on my 2019 Tesla. One of the best things is meeting up with Alexei (sp?) who helped recenter one of the holes on the new skid plates. Thanks and I recommend this place if you like working on your own car.

I have been looking for an "as needed" shop that I could rely on. I am a shade tree mechanic and…read morewrench on my own stuff. Shop is clean, everything is new. Simple in and out and totally easy to pull in get stuff done and then leave. I was able to jump in, do my front end service and then be able to just drive away. The cost per hour for the lift and tools is great and reasonable. If you need any specialized tools, you should bring them as the basics (standard SAE and Metric) sizes are covered, but ford has gone to some pretty odd sizes (Really fricken 18mm??!!!) I will be back and highly recommend.

Ghosted for the past 6 months for the remaining $16k of a $30k refund…read more $30k paid to 408 garage on February 10th 2024 I had my '69 Camaro with them. Originally, he said he was willing to throw a tarp on it and just store it until the other two cars got finished. He originally estimated about 2 months before they could get to it. Then later, it turned into 5 months of storage before it would even be worked on. I agreed to the 5 months. On Nov. 23, 2024, I asked if my car had been painted and was told it was at the paint shop. On Dec. 27, I asked how much the paint job cost and if it was there now. He said $10k and that it was being blocked and sanded right now. Then, May 15, almost 6 months later, I'm told he doesn't have room for the car and asked if I could take it somewhere else or pay for more storage. After having to ask, I was told they hadn't actually painted it yet. So I went from being told it was at the paint shop and getting blocked/sanded, to months later being told it needed to be moved because there was no room. That was pretty much when I started getting serious red flags. I've dealt with a lot of bad mechanics before, and I didn't want to get stuck in another 5-year money pit with a project that goes nowhere. Isaac knew about my experience with other cars and assured me everything was different with his shop, but I was starting to have my doubts. On June 2, 2025, I told Isaac I was pulling the plug on the project. He responded on June 6, saying he had a family emergency and would be gone until the 25th. I hit him up on June 26, and he responded a day later saying he was still out of state, had bad cell reception, and would text me when he got back. On July 7, I reached out again and told him the situation seemed off and asked if there was going to be an issue getting the funds. No response. On July 9, he made a group chat with Sandi, the other 50% owner. They told me they put $7,500 toward the paint and that it couldn't be refunded. They also said they couldn't use it toward future work with other cars because they'll never use that paint shop again. I offered to bring in another car that I needed painted so I didn't completely lose out on the $7,500. They asked for pictures of what I wanted painted, so I sent them. Then it pretty much went nowhere. Later on, I messaged Isaac directly asking for the name of the paint shop, and he ignored it. Finally, on July 22, I got some of the funds back, and then payments slowly trickled in after that. On Nov. 18, they said they would send a payment that Friday. They never did. I reached out directly to Isaac again 3.5 months later and was ignored. No response since Nov. 18, 2025. Isaac was a cool dude, so I really do hate leaving this. But between the changing stories, the run around while trying to even talk about getting a refund, being told the car was getting sanded when it apparently wasn't, being asked to move the car months later because there was no room, weird situation with paint guy,the refund dragging out, and then getting ghosted.. there's a lot more I can add here.

This was the first time hearing another name under my phone number. A name i don't recognize. I inquired about it and was rudely told " dont worry about it"... i politely questioned again if someone was using my phone number at thier place of business. And before i could finish my sentence, Miguel rolled his eyes and shook his head and said in a condescending tone "stop worrying,... it's not important to you" And he turned his back and walked away but let me see that he was rolling his eyes once more. I asked " wait...im concerned someone could be using my profile." I was ignored. Cinfused, I looked at the other man behind the counter but he would not look at me.. I have shopped O'Reillys for years and have never been treated so poorly or been a victim of such disrespect. I truley feel like never shopping there again. W.
