When I picked up my new car they balanced the wheels, did an alignment, sent my wheels off to get repaired and I even bought a set of Hankook iPike off them at a great price. I've also recommended them to a few of my friends, and they were all happy with the service and pricing they had to offer. So I called the latter for an appointment which they gave me for the next day at 8.30am. Arriving there on time, my thought process is how much time I will spend there and above all, is this going to cost me a fortune. At the reception, the lady was super nice and very professional. She was expecting me, and had all the details of my vehicle and the verification that needs to be done, and asked me to pull my car in. A few minutes later, the mechanic lifted the car up and less than 5 minutes later he had already diagnosed the problem and recommended that he will just remove part of the exhaust and solder another piece, rather than replacing the whole exhaust. He completed the job on the time estimated and at 9.31 am, I was paying the bill and left. It was nowhere I thought it would cost me, and totally amazed by the level of expertise and professionalism of the entire team. They are the muffler experts! Low and behold, as I watched them fix my car, all they did was repair the flex tube which goes to the manifold. After the repair was done, which only took a HALF hour, I asked the mechanic why he did not replace the manifold to which he now replied that the manifold was good. NOW HERE IS THE KICKER....he still wanted to charge me $320. The mechanic then accompanies me to the office where he tells the girl behind the desk that he never said there was an issue with the manifold, another guy that appeared to be more of a mechanic (or a manager) comes to tell me that to replace a manifold is over $500. Then I respond to him, "what is your hourly rate?", the mechanic took 30 minutes and the pipe cant be more that $50. He replies that they work by "job", not by hour and accuses me of not wanting to pay for services that he rendered. He goes further to say that they are human beings and a family business and continues to insinuate that I'm at fault and that I don't want to pay. I explain to the gentlemen that he is not dealing with an idiot. If the mechanic had said he would have simply repaired a flex pipe for $320, I would have never agreed to such ridicules price. I explained that even at $150 hourly rate, plus the cost of the flex pipe, my bill should not be greater than $200. I guess he knew that he could not hold my car for payment because he said "do you want to leave without paying?" and I responded that I was not there to cheat him but did not want to be cheated either. I upped my price to $250 and he charged me $250 plus taxes (my offer included the taxes) but I paid any way. BE WARNED....these people try to come across as honest, BUT THEY ARE ANYTHINHG BUT !!!!!!! I booked an appointment online Friday evening for Saturday monring, they looked at car right on time. The receptionist was very friendly and polite. The mechanic looked at my hybride and he said my brakes were fine, actually there was 80% pad life still remaining. He said the drums had a bit of light corresion but not to be concerned, as this is normal for hybrides and EV, because the electric braking system is slowing the car down, not the brakes as much. I didn't know this, so this information gave me peace of mind. They only charged for the inspection which was under $50, and there was no up selling. I found out if I needed brake pads or other parts, they are available on weekends, which is good to know for anyone needing brake work. Excellent shop, I'll definately be going back in the future

My parents are quite elderly (my dad is 94), and there are some extremely sharp turns getting into his parking garage. That is ONE bad combination! Their car sustained lower door damage on both sides from poor maneuvering these corners and continuously losing battles with the garage's concrete pillars. I drove with them to the downtown Audi dealership where they recommended getting four new doors for over $10 thou. YIKES. My dad's car is old but barely has any miles on it, and it drives perfectly. Just the lower half of the doors are messed up (one side was way worse than the other. The driver's side just had minimal dents and scratches. Still noticeable, though). Spending 10,000 on an older car for aesthetic reasons only seemed unreasonable. And my dad rarely drives the car, too. So we all decided, this solution was not reasonable for this car, for the way my dad uses it. My folks then drove around NDG as my mom remembered passing an auto body shop in her travels. Upon returning home, my dad said the place was super "shady". Sounded like a backyard operation. No way would he stop there, not even for an estimation. I told him, hey, let me do some research on Yelp and ask around, and I'll find a reputable auto body shop where he can get one more estimate and then decide if it's worth it to fix the car there, or at the dealership, or not at all. I found Clifton Auto on Yelp and the reviews, though few in number, were all stellar. And it's not far from my folks' condo. And they have great operating hours. And they've been in business sine 1982. I had a good feeling about this place! So we went there and was greeted by Pahreeve (I know I am totally misspelling his name, and I apologize in advance!). And he was phenomenal. Been in the biz for ages. Looked at my dad's car and said he can't guarantee they can fix the doors to 100% perfection, but he can get them to 80%. (My dad and I really appreciated his honesty here. We don't like surprises). We were quoted a price of $3000 and a lead time of approx. 10 days. My dad and I thought this reasonable, and paperwork was signed. My dad brought in the car a few days later and, sure enough, it was ready for pick up 9 or 10 days afterwards. I just spoke to my folks yesterday and they are THRILLED BEYOND WORDS, saying the car doors look PREFECT. Clifton Auto fixed them to 100% perfection, and they said they'd never even know there had been damage on them. There are zero indentations and the paint job is flawless. It looks like new. Thank you, Clifton Auto, for working your miracles and saving the day. You made my elderly parents so happy.
