My vehicle did come with a factory tow package and an existing 4 way-wiring harness but no port under the dash to connect a brake controller wiring adapter. Hence the installation of a trailer brake controller is a rather time consuming and somewhat challenging job on this vehicle. Not only can it look awful when done wrong it can also be a dangerous undertaking if not wired right. Various additional wiring/cables needed to be routed from the back of the vehicle to the front, circuit breakers needed to be mounted , a seven-way connector plug had to be installed and the actual brake controller unit had to be mounted in a suitable location in the cab. My main concern was a clean, factory-like looking installation with the perfect mounting positions for both the 7way connector and the unit. The technician listened to my concerns and showed me various options for the mounting locations of that brake controller unit. I was most pleasantly surprised when I picked up my vehicle, the installation was done as close to perfection as possible and exactly the way I had wanted it.

If I could put Zero stars I would…read more I had my wife bring in my 2007 ford ranger and after driving it, I noticed my steering wheel was off about 5 degrees. I went back to have this fixed, only to be yelled at and told that it was impossible to get my wheel straight because my lower ball-joints were loose (upper ball joints and tie rod ends were brand new 2 days before, and the lowers were a year old) . I Was belittled and told I didn't know what I was talking about, and told that I would have-to get my ball-joints changed then pay them again to straighten it. I was then told that he could never get it straight because my rear tires were worn out as well... After arguing with him for about 20 minutes, I decided to leave and go home. Upon arriving home, I climbed under the truck and did exactly what I told him they needed to do as I had paid for an alignment. I fixed it myself in 20 minutes by shifting the tie rod end adjustment from one side to another. Don't go to this shop, these guys are incompetent, rude, and a disgrace to customer service. This is the first time I've brought my car to a mechanic not under my supervision in 13 years of owning vehicles, and likely the last.

However Dave knows very well it's job and the most important is that he finds solutions that are cost effective. He will not change something that doesn't need to be changed and when he does change something he will do it well for a fair price. My A/C stopped working a few months ago so I brought my car to the shop I was used to go. The whole bill for changing everything would have been close to $1000 (probably $1500 at Honda). Upon a good friend recommendation I went to se Dave and je changed a few relays and fixed the A/C compressor without changing it (the part in itself must be close to $500). Total bill was under $200 and it has been working great since. If your budget is more important than the free coffee and glamour you would find in a dealership then I would recommend going to this shop. Appearances are super basic but they are not important for me when I am getting my car repaired as I want the best job for the lowest price. This will be my go to shop from now on.
