The vegetarian options excited me the most, and I ordered the Vegetarian Duck Teriyaki. It was really interesting because I'd never had any duck-related veg food, so I had to try it. The teriyaki flavor was a bit overwhelming, maybe too much sauce, but I still gobbled it up. My friend would have given her actual duck teppanyaki dish and the whole experience five stars, she loved it so much. I would definitely go back and try another one of their veg dishes! Everyone starts with a miso soup - which was delicious - and then you choose from one of 4 options - I tried tofu for the first time in my life and was so pleased that I opted for it as it was really good. My son had the pork dumplings and really enjoyed them. We had the sushi for our main course which was also excellent. All of this cost £14.90 each and the other 2 lunch menus were cheaper - the cheapest was £9.90. We shared a black sesame ice cream and really enjoyed that too. The service was very good and friendly. They had another table with people with children, one in a high chair. They don't take bookings for lunch times as they are not very busy but they recommend booking for evenings as they are busy then.

Does Hamachi even make its way to the UK? I never saw it on a menu once. Miyazaki does offer salmon nigiri both raw and lightly torched and that's about as exotic as things get. What they do they do well enough and certainly well enough for the area. If you're in Maidenhead you might as well make a reservation to dine at Miyazaki. It's not the only restaurant in town but I think it might be best one.
