Literally the best sushi I have ever had. Absolutely phenomenal. The service was great as well. This is a hidden little gem in Maidenhead.

Mori Japanese Restaurant - Salmon Teriyaki Don

Great spot to satisfy your Japanese food craving. After a…read moreday of walking at a local estate, we were so happy to find this restaurant to be located only 8 mins drive from our Airbnb. Easy to get to from the handy dandy Yelp directions. As the rest of England, your tricky bit will be parking. There's limited parking in front, on the street. There's also a huge lot 3 mins away on the back side of the locale. Pay by phone on the ringo app. The place is small but the tables were place strategically as to maximize their space without feeling crowded. Pleasant atmosphere and everyone seem to be enjoying their meal. We ordered some crunchy gyoza, spider rolls and yakiniku to start. The gyoza were crunchy without being hard. The spicy Mayo on it gave it that extra yummy oomph. So good but my husband did wish it came with some gyoza sauce on the side Their spider rolls were ok. They needed a little bit more of salty. They were on the blend side. The yakiniku were SO good. Beef was cooked perfectly and the sauce on it was so delish. I wish I had ordered two more skewers. The mains were Salmon teriyaki don and chicken don. I enjoyed my salmon to the very last bit. Served with salad and on a bed of rice. Great seasoning and nicely cooked. Simplicity of a dish but so satisfying. My husband did like his dish but contrary to what I think, his dish was a bit on the salty side. The girl helping us was flying solo but was attentive and friendly throughout the whole visit.

A new Japanese restaurant in Slough. Very clean, very friendly. Good menu options (sushi,…read moreteppanyaki, curry, etc) and lunch specials. I have been twice and have enjoyed the food each time. Give it a try.

Sushi Nara - Dolsot Bihimbop was deemed "delicious". Restaurant does both Korean and Japanese fare.

After hoofing around in search of a dinner joint I returned to Sushi Nara, one of the first places…read moreI'd seen. Staines didn't appear to have a great selection of restaurants but with Sushi Nara being as satisfying as it proved to be, they need not. A pleasantly generic decor gave no hint of the diversity of Sushi Nara's menu, not in Japanese cuisine as expected, but in a full-range of Korean fare as well. And because I didn't find the UK brimming with a great array of sushi (salmon and tuna seem to comprise 98% of the offerings), the Korean offerings were a welcome treat. The next question, as I'm suspect of places specializing in multiple cuisines, was: How good would that Korean fare (or Japanese fare) actually be? Good, quite good. The Nara Bento (£16.90) was a nice array of food: filling, fresh tasting, as varied as it needed to be, and well-presented. The Beef Dolsot Bibimbap (£9.50) and Kimchi (£2.20) were equally satisfying. I'd likely look askance were I to find a restaurant back home (San Francisco Bay Area) trading in both Japanese and Korean fare but here in Staines they pulled it off with mastery. If they opened up a second outpost in my neighborhood I'd be there.

Just had a speedy lunch here. Food was good, we had quite a mix. Couple of Bento boxes with meat…read moreand salmon, and a plate of mixed Salmon sushi. Would come back again.
