I would not refer any of my members, colleagues, family, or friends to this medical company, and…read moreespecially to this office. Office staff sit around at the front desk with their Stanley cups out on their phones in a circle, gossiping. What makes it worse the office Manager Mindy, is right there with the front office staff. Been having issues with this office since my first visit. Signed medical release forms, but it was never done. At checkout, the receptionist did not speak English and was unsure of the next steps. However, the release forms were never sent out. Follow-up visit seen the PCP, and the check-out person asked me, "Did I see the doctor?" I looked up at her and responed "The doctor was the one who brought me to you, correct? The doctor just spoke to you in Spanish about me, correct? And I asked to speak to the office manager. The real issue I am having with this office is that they are refusing to fill out medical forms that need to be filled out by my PCP. My Psychiatrist been filing out these forms and stated that now that I have a PCP, the forms need to be filled out by them. After seeing Dr. Yanelis Fergerro and explaining this to her, she stated that there would be no problem and recommended that I set an appointment with B-Well and also have the medical records sent to her to fill out. Everything that was requested of me was done. Office manager Mindy re-sent the release forms for medical records and explained to her that the company will be faxing the forms to Sanitas to be filled out. Called back three days later, and of course, you can't get a hold of the office, only the call center. I personally went there, and Mindy, the office manager, saw me come in because, of course, she was up front with the staff and the security guard on their phones and laughing and gossiping. She got up and acted as if she were trying to help a staff member in the back. After hearing me getting very frustrated with the front staff, she finally came up front. Now this time around, Mindy was not as pleasant from my last visit. She tells me that the forms can not be filled out by my PCP and that the Psychartist needs to fill them out. I told her that it is not so. If I am seeing my PCP and forms need to be filed out, or medical release forms need to be sent out to my job, they are supposed to do so. She responded that the specialist needs to do it. They have all my medical records for forms to be filed, and won't do it. I requested the forms to be filed out with my visit notes from the PCP and B-Well, and Mindy said no, it can not be done, it's not up to her, it's up to the DO. Name Andrea. She handed me a business card for the DO as if her number was on there. I took the card and asked Mindy when she would be in said she does not know. I started laughing. Mindy said if you like, you can come tomorrow to speak with her between the time of 8 am and 9 am. I refused to walk back into that office. I will be filing a medical grievance and calling CMS about this office. Medical staff see you as a patient and do not know that you are also in the medical field.

However, the consultation was more of a casual conversation instead of a professional presentation. I thought it would have been with a doctor or certified medical professional instead of a salesman. It was surprisingly all over the map: a bit about nutrition, how it compares to cool sculpting, many google searches showing stats, measurements, and cost estimates. Towards the end, they actually told us, "if you sign-up today, we will give you the best price" and "what price do you want to pay for this?". I felt I was at a used car dealership. When we pushed back, and a couple of problem areas were dropped, the procedure price magically went from $19K to $9K (for two people). Further making us hesitant to sign on the spot, was that they would not give us any references to contact to ask how satisfied they were, and perhaps ask other questions to help us make a decision. We heard from the front desk that some of their own staff had it done. Which led to the question, you mean not even their own staff could act as a reference? And, why wasn't all of these stats they were quoting not in their own materials, such as on their website? Why just showing us info through random google searches? In the end, we didn't feel comfortable with the whole consultation; the lack of references, the lack of stats being in black and white, so we passed. I would suggest that they make up a professional package for potential customers, explaining their procedures, provide some type of guarantee on reduction, and the ability for a client to come back for additional sessions if they aren't happy. And, most of all, ask some of their happy clients, who have had great results, if they would provide any type of reference. If all, or at least some of that is provided, I think they will find increased client enrollment.
