The coffee and dessert selection is standard. I have had the Wiener melange here. The quality is just as good as you get at the well known coffee houses and the prices are much better. I hadn't brought enough socks so I picked up a few pairs, and we sat in the café section and each had a nice cold Coke, and shared a piece of struedel. The service was nice, the air con worked, so we were happy. It also wasn't expensive, or aimed at tourists, so good overall. They also let dogs in, so we had the entertainment of cooing over a couple very cute pooches :)

When he saw it, he liked it too. Out popped the phone and off he wandered to take pictures. There is a small covered shopping area, sort of like a mall. You walk in and there are several small shops around a central bar. Some of the shops have an upstairs, so be sure to check everything out! Hubs isn't much of a shopper, so he got a drink at the bar while waiting for me to finish souvenir hunting before joining him. We each had a drink and I picked up some postcards. The bartender wasn't very talkative, but he was friendly and nice. The shops all carry different stuff, but each is quirky and artsy in it's own way....everything fits in in this area. Plus, they make a really great sandwich to boot. The review doesn't need to be long to say the following. Some of the best coffee I've ever had. A fantastic sandwich both times we were there. The bikes (mostly refurbished) and parts that they sell are worthy of a bike museum. Quite possibly, my favorite thing about the whole city of Vienna.

Unfortunately they are side by side on Kärntner Strasse. Sweet Dreams sells chocolates, Best of Vienna little statues of Empress Sissi, etc. The chocolates are great and the souvenirs, too, but it's not the best idea to have one of the same kind side by side - but well, if you want to pay twice the expenses for two shops... Oh, I forgot the third one of the same chain three houses down the street!!! Well, everything else was fine, the staff is pretty nice and competent. T-shirts with Austrian prints were also quite nice. It is better to buy your souvenirs here than at the small shops on the main streets, prices are better here.

The special exhibit they had during my visit was a modern art one, which isn't much my interest but definitely a change from their regular exhibits. I didn't buy anything. I might've purchased some chocolates from the specialty chocolate stand (they looked tasty!) but I was out of euros and they didn't accept credit cards. Bummer.
