A chair blocking entrance to rooms suggests "STAY OUT" and presents an unwelcoming and unflattering picture to say the least. Attempts at hospitality were shattered on some many fronts on Saturday. In any customer based business the old adage , you only get one chance to make a good first impression, rings true. Your venue offers such a wide range of options. A lawn ceremony, a wide sweeping tour of the home, the gazebo are all good options and would show off your estate to the max. You have a beautiful staircase and wonderful antique effects that many guests missed because of their confinement to the RENTED ROOM.

Just attended a wedding at Ray's last week. The ceremony was beautiful, however, the reception left something to be desired. The owners seemed to be overly concerned with money, at one point entering the room and counting heads! There were several discrepancies concerning guests taking food from the venue. Even if it is policy to not allow food to be taken, the message could have been conveyed in a more professional manner. One guest even commented that" seems like they don't want us here" So sad, this venue has so much potential but the small mindedness of the owners is blocking it. Ray's, don't worry, you will get paid!!!! The home could have gained more attention if it were not for the chairs blocking the doors to other parts of the home. Guests felt as if they were confined to the one room the couple had rented. Wow, what a wasted marketing moment!

Henry County hosts many free family-friendly events here and there is occasionally a paid event/experience from an external vendor/organization. Our most recent visit was for the county's Hot Summer Fest 2025 (on July 3rd). It included an are show, a drone show, and fireworks, plus games, bouncy houses and water slides before the shows began. We also really love the county's trick or treat event here. This past October (2024) they were doing paid rides on the track so my husband got to take a few high speed spins around the track with a professional driver. Honestly, the speedway seems the perfect location for large festival type events.

FOOD: The vendors offered different food from a regular festival guys like hot dogs or giant turkey legs. Most plates are upwards of $20 each. Didn't see more global cuisine outside of Mexican, Jerk or Asian. But "foodie" is a bit of a misnomer. If looking for truly elevated cuisine, better off attending the "Taste of " events. DRINKS: The large (refillable) drinks start at $25 and were more sweet than refreshing for 98° weather. Better off of with water. Cocktails were average ENTERTAINMENT: OK - no celeb headliners 5/10
