I did have to drop by a second time for my request, but it was for a valid reason like having expired passport. If you have everything they asked for, everything is good! They really seem like they love helping you. Oh, I think NCPD is closed on Fridays. It's better to check the times before dropping by. COVID related, they're having you wait outside, socially distanced, allowing 2 guests at a time, temperature measured at the entrance, sanitizer available at the entrance. Everyone is wearing a mask.

Don't forget to bring a pen because you'll definitely need one, and they will not provide you with in one; however, you can purchase a pen from them. lol Appointments are by reservations only! You can easily book an appointment online. But be warned, the appointments get filled up pretty quickly, so reserve early! I booked online and the earliest appointment available was one month later! *** Make sure you fill out an application when you get there. This is in addition to any paperwork you may have been mailed. You need both forms. Once you have all your paperwork, get online to get a ticket number. There are numerous monitors in the huge waiting area. Once your # is called, it will appear on the monitors, which will direct you to which counter to go to. If renewing a license, you will be directed to the counter to have your photo taken. After your photo is taken, you go back to the waiting area for your # to be called again. Once your # is called again, you're directed to a counter to present your paperwork along with your required documents. Paperwork is processed, pay your fees, and your done! So easy! ***The key is to have ALL the required paperwork and documents required. Aside from the 2 rude young ladies who greeted me, all personnel (& security) were very friendly, helpful and professional. I was in and out in less than an hour!

It was really clean inside and well kept. This DMV is bright and huge inside. I had all my paperwork filled out and all what was needed to register my car to receive plates. I came on 8/29/2025 @ about 11am, I was helped by a young lady (I forgot her name) at #25 extremely polite and helpful. I'm was in and out of DMV less than 20mins no lie!! I say, have your paperwork in check, make an appointment, be on time and be polite. You will be out of there sooner than the city's DMV. Definitely coming back here.

Night court money maker…read more Apparently the Village of Floral Park has a robust business of corralling the public and hauling them into night court for the slightest infractions. In my case it was because my insurance card was expired. They give you a court date and you HAVE to appear. I could have simply showed them the correct card, as it is done everywhere else on the planet, but that is not sufficient - you have to go waste a few hours sitting in a court room only to have your case dismissed. Although the Judge does a good job of moving it along, I can only imagine what they would do if they had some real criminal problems. I put up a photo (not too good) of all the other saps that had to waste a Monday sitting there. Such a waste of money and time.

All the staff members in grey shirts salute you and call you sir when you walk by. They don't seem to do any work though. Just whole bunches of them standing around looking like robots, all staring in the same direction. Weird. But they're harmless if you leave them alone. And they seem to have gotten chubbier over the years...maybe having a nice cafeteria in your work place isn't a great thing... The building itself is ginormous and is very impressive looking. Very clean. But, the entry and exit doors are always broken, allowing the wind to blow right through the complex, completely negating any benefits of a "green" building. Who designed these doors?? The gym is top notch. Much better than my basement. Gym staff all look fit and seem to know what they're talking about. I highly recommend patronizing this place if you have the right credentials, even though they don't really want or need your business. I'd give it 5 stars. But we all know there's plenty of progress to be made. As soon as you call yourself #1, you're done making improvements. That goes for our country as well. Let's get to work!

I came in during a quiet morning to report that my rent checks were stolen and altered after being dropped in a USPS mailbox within their district. I wasn't expecting a full investigation -- I just wanted the incident on record, thinking it might help prevent future cases. While the sergeant I initially spoke with when I walked in was polite, the rest of the experience was disappointing. I waited for over an hour while being told they were "busy" by the booking officer who set there doing other things, effectively ignored, yet I could clearly hear joking around and saw multiple officers and detectives walking back and forth. I was the only person there trying to report a crime, and eventually I just left. Maybe the response is different if you've been physically assaulted, but for larceny crimes, don't expect much to anything. As someone who has always supported law enforcement, this experience genuinely made me lose some respect especially for my neighborhood precinct.

Welp. Some low life stole my iPhone wallet with my license and cards in it. I had to go down to…read morethe precinct to file a complaint. Luckily the place wasn't crowded that evening so the process was rather quick. The officers were polite and very helpful. Detective Stewart took me through the step by step process and thoroughly explained what would happen and followed up with me thereafter. The person was apprehended and I just needed to give this precinct and Detective Stewart a big shout out. I know that there is a love hate relationship with the PD but they put their lives on the line every single day and witness unfathomable things on a daily basis. These officers at this precinct treated everyone with dignity from the homeless person filing a report to me and another person. There was absolutely no difference in quality of care or etiquette. I applaud them. It isn't easy being in a field where you are the every day heroes doing great things for people every single day but you get condemn for the actions of some bad apples and have to suffer the consequences. But I digress. I'm grateful. I appreciate you. Keep up the good work!
