Unfortunately, my IUD came out because of a very heavy period and using a menstrual cup, but WholeLife scheduled me for a replacement appointment right away at no extra cost. We decided this in march that August would be perfect. So, I called savaii, at the budge urology and she quoted us $2511.48 for the surgery. But she can't book us for August until July... a little annoying but whatever. We go to a required consult and pay $50. Cool. Then July 6 savaii calls my husband to schedule for August 4th. He says perfect and they hang up. I get home later and he asked me what she said the cost would be, I remind him that it's $2511.48 and he said she changed it to $3590! UM NO. Wtf??? So I called and she said it's a nation wide raise on this specific surgery. Canceled our appt, called dr.larsons office who is also in Logan UT. THEY STILL COST BETWEEN $2300-$2500. Nation wide raise my butt. I hate being lied to and taken advantage of. She didn't even tell us at the consultation that the cost had risen. Go see Ryan Larsen. Skip the budge clinic.

But almost everyone else who I have worked with/talked to is so hard for me (Many of the nurses and PAC's). They don't take time to read the charts or they don't understand certain things so I have to retell my story everytime and it is so annoying and makes appointments a lot harder. I have a history of recurrent pregnancy loss and Dr. Kirkman has been amazing to work with. The office is HORRIBLE at returning phone calls HORRIBLE. They never call me back with lab results, I always have to call them and am usually on hold for 10+ minutes. I think they have called me back 2/10 times when they said they would and it was always at least a few days or weeks later than they said I should expect the call. The only reason we stay here is because of Dr. Kirkman. After our third miscarriage, Mickensi Paget said "like 90% of miscarriages are genetic and are just chromosomal abnormalities so if I were you guys I wouldn't even worry! Who knows, maybe next time you'll have twins." And then she said "and next pregnancy we'll have you take progesterone and baby aspirin." I told her I was taking it during that pregnancy and she said ... "oh you were? Dang. That helps almost everyone we see." That is not the time or place to say any of those things and I know a lot of miscarriages are due to chromosomal abnormalities, but it isn't 90% of them, especially not with recurrent loss. There was no reason for her to say those things and my husband and I both felt they were very insensitive comments. I hope she can realize the effect of her words and next time stick with "I'm sorry you're going through this" or anything else then what she said.

He makes sure to connect with my toddler aged daughter on every visit and makes her feel so comfortable. He also never makes me feel rushed or ridiculous as I take him through my list of paranoid first time mom questions. I feel that he is very balanced and also respectful of my opinions. I admire his experience and expertise. We are expecting our second baby now and won't bat an eye an driving over an hour for double the appointments. Their nurses line is also great and I love that it's available 24/7. When my daughter was up in the middle of the night a few weeks ago with a sickness, it gave me great peace to be able to communicate with a professional. At this office, they are very reasonable and not alarmist, which is really important to me and I assume, any first time parent.
