I tell you she has the patience of a saint! We looked at hundreds of houses for well over a year before finding something that I actually liked. Not once during this time did she get frustrated with me about my indecisiveness; she drove me all around town, showing me every house I wanted to see and more. Some of the houses that I actually liked and was ready to make an offer on Jennifer researched them and found some major flaws and pointed those out to me. If it wasn't for her caring compassion I may have ended up with a money pit. Jennifer really loves her job and she is great at what she does. I would recommend her any day to someone that is looking for a good real estate agent. I will certainly use her again when it comes time to sale and buy more property.

That indicated to me this realtor uses high pressure tactics and obviously does not communicate well when not in the company's best interest. Sure, I'd been slowly squirreling away money for what seemed like an impossibly large down payment. But these seemed more exercises in the adulthood, experiments for the "some day" and definitely not for the "next month." Three weeks after talking to Lynne, we bought a house. Apparently I just needed more practice signing my name a thousand times over. So yeah, things happen quickly, whether you're ready for them or not. This isn't my first purchase. I bought a condo about 10 years ago; a condo that's served me well (mostly.) However, the intervening decade, marriage, and child shifted priorities considerably. Whereas prior criteria were "ease of living" and "proximity to bars," I now had to consider "schools," and "closet space" and "wife's opinion" and stuff like "a place to put my vast and unwieldy comic book collection" dropping to near the bottom of the list. Since we wanted to stick to the East Atlanta/Grant Park/Cabbagetown areas neighborhoods Lynne specialized in, that worked out perfectly. Like any good realtor, Lynne patiently showed us around and helped manage some of our (ok, my wife's) sometimes unrealistic expectations. Yeah, it's cool to check out houses, but when it's your own checkbook, it's not nearly as fun as watching House Hunters on HGTV. Yes, I helped by constantly scanning Zillow and Redfin, but there are just times when it's good to have a professional involved, especially when that professional knows far more about construction than you. "Hey, this place looks nice!" "Take a look at this tilework. It's not up to code at all. Looks like they ran out of money on this flip." "Uh, yeah, I noticed that too." (I didn't have any idea.) And then there was post-closing, which is where Lynne truly earned her money. The selling realtor was...challenging. Lynne met every challenge and then some.
