It really makes a difference in quality. Ingrid has a sweet demeanor and is very easy to work with. The husband does not like taking photos or being the center of attention, but he felt comfortable around her. She does not ask you do stupid poses or tell lame jokes to try and make you laugh. We haven't even seen the results yet, but their bright smiles, wonderful personalities and "make it work" attititudes were priceless as our beautiful day turned to gusting winds and we moved 70 people into a small cottage. Dia set up a portrait photo booth in one of the rooms and everyone had a blast getting friend and family portraits with a beautiful floral fabric background. We spoke with many photographers and looked at infinite portfolios, but Dia's style was exactly what we were looking for-- whimsical, photojournalistic, and fun. No stuffy posed shots for us! She was also very reasonably priced and was completely willing to work within our budget which is rare for wedding photographers AND she provides a DVD with the full high resolution images for you to print and share as you'd like. Her work is fantastic (photojournalistic style) and her rates fair (in the $3-5K range). Moreover (and perhaps most importantly) she is very responsive and professional. Shelby is more than a photographer, she is a healer…read more I do not photograph well, and have some significant body dysmorphia, so anytime I have gone into photo and video shoots it brings up very difficult emotion. Shelby was expert at putting me at ease, helping me to relax and stay grounded in front of the camera. The result was a much higher ratio of useable images than I have ever received before. I especially appreciate the time Shelby spent on attention to detail and lighting before and during the shoot; it made a huge impact on the quality of the images.
