long story short. After 2 years of following the program I was told that I needed a personal loan due to racking up late fees which they had told me to do. I had 25000 of debt enrolled. the loan was for 14000 through Reach. The APR is 26.9%. I will be paying this off over 6 years. I will be out of pocket for $33000 plus what I paid to National Debt Relief. This is a total rip off and due to being desperate i fell for the trap. Satisfaction Guaranteed. That's a joke. I had signed up for this program in October 2024 as I was under the impression this was a government approved debt relief company. They took all my info and immediately got me a settlement on 2/3 debts i owed, but stalled over a year on the 3rd one. I kept forwarding all my notices as I was told and they assured me "they were working on it." Right around me surpassing the year mark in the program, they told me I was low on funds and they were going to set me up with a consolidation loan through their partner, Reach Financial. Now that they had purposefully tanked my credit score. i had no other option to get good terms elsewhere. It was at this time i also discovered that the $ i was setting aside every month (roughly $600) to give them to go towards my settlement amount was mostly being kept as junk fees for themselves with a small portion going towards my actual debts being settled. I knew they'd be collecting a fee because they need to make $ too, but I felt taken advantage of and bait and switched after they basically stole 90% of the funds i thought i was putting aside to help get myself out of debt. I joined National Debt Relief's program, making my first payment of $539 in February 2024. I made my last payment in June 2026. The payments were equal, and totaled $15,631. I originally had another debt included in the program, but since NDR had not negotiated a settlement, I pulled this one out of the program (this is mentioned because it was the largest included originally). At the time I entered the program, the amount owed to the creditors that NDR handled was $17,602. So, calculating the savings as debt at the beginning of the program that was settled by NDR minus the payments to NDR shows a net savings of $1,971. Adding to that the $38 that was in my dedicated savings account that NDR promptly refunded to me results in a total net savings of $2,009. And of course my credit is ruined, and I still have one creditor to deal with. So, was the program worth it? To me it was, even though the savings was not what I had hoped it would be. It may not be the right path for everyone, and their fees were high, but it did provide mental relief, knowing that this issue was being handled. NDR is not a scam. read more

To my surprise, getting all inquiries removed was so incredible and this took just a couple weeks. This has been a terrible experience. They tell you that they'll help you consolidate. They don't tell you that you have to create a new account (BETR LINK) that has to have a huge amount of money deposited before they DO anything. They'll talk your ear off and tell you how sorry they are that your creditors are demanding payments, etc. Then when you get sued, they start to get something done. I started the debt relief program. July of 2024. Now November 2025 having to file bankruptcy cause it hurt me more than it help me. In October one of my creditors tried suing me because the program couldn't get them to go alone with the program. So October 2025 they came to me saying the one creditor want more money. My debt went up $3000.00 and wanted to increase my monthly payment. So the NATIONAL DEBT RELIEF PROGRAM IS HORRIBLE. Hurt me didn't help me one bit. read more

One thing this company doesn't tell you is that if you sign up, you will have to give up your credit (ALL credit) while the company negotiates with your creditors. The reduction you get the company gets as a fee. You are not a person to them, you are a number, and they make money off you. Creditors can still send you to collections if you are 90 days or more late, although the company is supposed to protect you from that. So, yes, they may be able to reduce your debt, but I was angry that the CEO of this company makes like $400,000 or more, plus perks. They make money off your suffering, but what they really don't tell you right away is that you will have to go YEARS before you can get credit again, and I can tell you that it is hard to quit credit cold turkey. You'd have to pay your consolidation loan debt payment, and then cash or debit for all your other expenses, and that is a very difficult adjustment. Take it easy. read more

Get unwanted harassing calls 3 to 4 times a day claiming to represent National Debt Relief. They have been instructed that this is a private number, and on the do-no-call-list, and they need to remove the number from their call list immediately. This has been going on for over a year now. Todays call at 11:15 am PT was no difference except this time the caller got belligerent and vulgar, and then went on he told me to stop calling his number, but he was informed that he called me!! At which time I requested his business address and phone number (he gave me 180 Maiden way 30th floor, New York, New York - phone number 315-208-3232) at which time I told him I was going to report this to management, when he then told me to "Go Fuck Myself" and then hung up. I have read some of these comments and it sounds like a lot people have had a hard time with this company but maybe I can shine some light here as I am a customer here. First when you call them what everyone needs to understand is they can only settle with your credit card company ones they cancel your account and write it off as a loss. So that is why they will tell you if you want to include all credit cards then you must stop using them and stop any payment and yes your credit score will go down. Once they can take control of your credit card accounts that have been closed and your score goes down then It will slowly come back up but remember it takes time. Yes my credit score did sink but it is on the rise. Now everyone situation is different but they told me about 5 years to clear this all up but I can add extra deposits to my account with them to speed it up. So remember all your accounts must be closed by your creditors with a balance of over $500 for them to take it but just remember it doesn't settle overnight it takes time read more

I do not recommend this scam! My wife and I tried this company and they totally screwed us. They will deduct their fees first, before they pay anything to a creditor. We had almost 3,000 saved up in their account for us they say. Well they kept 2,900 and paid only 100 to the creditor as soon as we agreed on the first settled amount. They don't tell you til after the fact how much they will immediately take out before they pay your creditor. This is the most corrupt and horrible way to take advantage of people seeking help. NDR lost my trust after they couldnt solve my debt issue for months. Got better relief option by webg host33 on inst grm after signing for only a month and surprisingly i was able to clear $45k debt which greatly improved my credit report in general. Worst company in the world. My debt stared at $88,000 after my settlements I ended up owing over $92,000 and they're charging 22% fee. Not to include destroying my credit and lying about how successful they are. The only thing they settled was the interest accruing since I started up with them. Worse mistake of my life going with this company. In the beginning when I started they were very attentive. Now I can't get anyone to give me a straight answer on anything. My credit score is still tanked even after 3 years on this program. I originally went into it to ask for assistance with a few cards and student loans that I co signed for. They take and take their fees up front before even sending in the first payment for the negotiated debt. They basically just get interest drop off on a loan. I, too, was "drowning in debt", and accepted National Debt Relief's proposal of a fixed payment per month for a fixed number of months. I accepted because I was overwhelmed with monthly payments, and didn't seem to be getting anywhere. The monthly payment that NDR quoted me seemed reasonable and could be handled each month. The estimated total amount I was required to pay indicated a savings of several thousand dollars over the amount of actual debt. I am now 11 months into the program, and I have mixed feelings about having accepted their offer. What bothers me most is their "settlement fees", which are outrageous. Then there's the additional fees like their monthly service charges, the monthly legal fees, and other transaction fees. Then there is the issue of the "estimated" debt free date, which I guess means it can be pushed out unilaterally by NDR. Then, after agreeing to their terms, I have gotten letters from from of the credit card companies offering a settlement amount that is less than I'm being charged by NDR. I can't state absolutely that I'm sorry to have gotten into this, but I'm not crazy about how much this is costing me over and above the settlement amounts. Do your math carefully. read more

My complaint about National Debt Relief continues... My previous post about them flaking dissolving the contractual agreement, after my credit union; Qualstar Credit Union blocked them from taking funds... and retaliating against me by taking funds directly from my direct deposits to cover due visa payments. National Debt Relief totally flaked, having power of attorney... when things got rough they turned tail and ran away. National Debt Relief and I had a discussion after I notified them of my dissatisfaction and them dissolving the contract due to their lack of performance. The newly assigned account specialist was horrible. She interrupted multiple times, not listening to what I had to say. I ended the call telling her 'you continue to interrupt me means your not listening, your just pissing me off, have a good day.' I terminated the call... It was absolutely pointless and a waste of my time. Then I get an email to fill out a survey about the call. This statement is my response to the survey request. F off, I don't care anymore. I now have to file a complaint with the CFPB about a breach of contract. They needed to put on the gloves and get into the ring and duke it out with Qualstar Credit Union. They just threw in the towel and ran away, trying to brush it under the rug. So extremely disappointed and pissed off at them. I'm now seeking legal representation. Their cowards running from a fight when the need arises. 5 stars.., so people will take a moment to read my two posts. They were very clear prior to signing up what would happen to my credit score (big jump down), how the program worked with building up a balance in my account prior to attempting to settle with creditors, the tax implications and overall what to expect during the 3 year process. The only big complaint I have is the lack of customer service once you sign up. The emails to your inquiries are canned (scripted) replies which is frustrating because I never seem to be able to get a clarified reply. I don't feel like they do much on my behalf now that I've signed up. It took close to 30 days to get my bank account updated with them, because of the 'canned" response that it would take 5-7 business days, but no one ever followed up nor did the email say for me to follow up and I found out that I had to sign an authorization for the new bank account withdrawals. I also asked about making extra payments and was told I could but when I asked if they would then reach out to the creditors that I had settlement agreements with, I was told they don't try to pay off the accounts sooner. So essentially instead of paying off creditors sooner, which ends your contract with them, they sit on the money and don't advocate for you. read more

You hear that ad proclaiming they customer focused, what they don't tell you they don't relieve much off your debt. It's not that they don't get the card companies to lower the balance much but they ruin your credit score. I should say you ruin your own credit but they don't make things better. Today, I received an email congratulating me for graduating from their debt program. Big whoop! Let's review what they do..... Little. The bank they work with gets the money you are putting in and of course the interest. The customer reps read off a script and then when questioned, "That company didn't cut the balance in half as you said they would?" They reply, "Oh that company doesn't bargain a lot." These people are liars. I signed up with what I thought was fact in January of'21. They said my credit cards would be paid off in 31 months @$316/month. That would have meant August of '23. INSTEAD they told me 6mos ago it would be Feb 24 (38 months). Today they told me MAY '24! That's 41 months' The bastards. That makes me pay andditional $3160! Far from the relief they claim. I had over $15,000 in credit card debt when I fell into financial difficulty and I saw their commercial on late night TV I thought, well, I have nothing to lose, so I called Just like the commercial said, they were able to get me on their program with a payment that took into consideration my living expenses (and if your circumstances change, they work with you) No more creditor calls! No more collection letters! I began the program in June 2019 and I will be completely debt free in February 2023 I highly, HIGHLY recommend this business!!! read more

I do not know how this company has a bbb rating of A+. This is one of the worst companies I have dealt with. I made 5 monthly payments to them and they did nothing but take their fees out, I addressed this with them on a couple of occasions. I was told that they like to wait awhile because the creditors are easier to deal with. In the meantime you are accruing interest with your creditors. Example, I had an account starting in January, which is when I signed up with it was $1300, five months later they make an agreement with them for me to make payments adding up $950 but they wanted to take a $375 fee. Tell me where that helped me. Immediately I called and cancelled my account with them. They say you can still access you account for 30 days which is not true, when call them they tell you IT is working on it, bull...t. Seriously don't use these people. read more

This company is horrible. They start out as very professional and knowledgeable with all sorts of promises. That's where it ends. After that it becomes a nightmare. Our credit has become worse instead of better. We've been sent to collections by some of our creditors because their priority of who they work with first makes no sense. They do have a 'process' and 'logic' they use but they don't apply that logic logically....for instance we have two creditors that have roughly the same amount and they are not negotiating with the one that's been sent to collections, but are negotiating with one that has not. Some of their agents are condescending and have no idea how their program works. We get different stories from different agents, depending on who you talk to. They lie about who they are negotiating with we've been told by them they are negotiating with some creditors we talk to the creditors the creditors haven't heard from them. They've told us some creditors have been sent to lawyers that haven't and that's why they're negotiating with them instead of others. It's a different story every time we call depending on who we talk to. read more
