The park facilities are fairly limited so if you want kids clubs bars and entertainment you should look elsewhere, but if you are looking for a comfy base from which to explore south devon you'll be well served.

The entertainment team are fantastic and full of energy they want every one to enjoy there holiday as much as possible. From the site, you can see open water, which really makes me feel like I am away from home. The swimming pool is quite small and basic but it is finding for the size of the park. There are many hills on the park, which was not a problem for me, but it could be for others. The kids club was great the children had a great time parents can either stay with them or leave them to play games and collect them later. I stayed and found that they did some really good games with the children.

I wanted to revist here to relive a fond teenage memory of one of my last summer holidays away with…read moremy parents and trip out with my grandparents. It's always a risky business going back to places we remember from our pre adulthood and time can sometimes be cruel to this kind of place. Babbacombe Model Village has kept its wonderfully quaint cuteness and charm I am pleased to report. Not much has changed (in the nicest possible way) and the miniature figures have been lovingly maintained by the dedicated team here. My favourite scene is still the village cricket ground but we were also amused by the mock shop names and plays on words as you walk around and take in each mini scene. A sharp March morning probably meant we took a brisker walk than if we'd ventured here in summer and I'd say it would be a somewhat miserable walk in the rain so try and catch it in the sunshine if you can. If you are taking children make sure you let them know the game of where's wally they can play to spot the popular characters in amongst the other inhabitants, as it just adds an extra level of entertainment for them. I'd struggle to see how you'd spend more than 2 hours here but I cannot stress how lovely the walk around is, serving as a peaceful break from sandcastles, arcades and fish and chips. I'd love to come on one of the evening where they light up the village with illuminations as would think it adds a whole other level of realism to the place which conversely probably only makes it feel more magical. One word, lovely.

Visited Greenway earlier this year with a group of friends and enjoyed the experience of the actual…read morevisit and the one hour journey to and from the attraction by ferry from Dartmoor. Reaching the house once leaving the ferry is a bit of a trek uphill so make sure you have comfortable walking shoes on. Entry price is around £9 each but they do pretty much guilt you into making a 10% donation to Gift Aid (which is added to the entry price without asking and most people are too embarrassed to ask for this to be removed). The staff also try to sell you National Trust membership which is rather annoying as this really slows down the queue to get in. Once inside you can get some food in the café/restaurant although the prices are quite steep and the queues and service are horrendously slow. You can explore the grounds at your leisure and includes lovely views which you can imagine enthralled Agatha Christie as a child. Entering Greenway House is a lovely experience with the tour guides telling you that you enter as a visitor through the front door and leave via the back door as a friend of the family. Each room in the house can be explored at your own pace. There are items from Agatha Christie's childhood and later life in every room from dolls to books to diaries to items she collected and her piano and music that she wrote. You are not allowed to take photos inside the house. All in all a visit to the house shouldn't take longer than 2-3 hours maximum. A worthwhile experience for fans of Agatha Christie.

This is my second year at the cottage (but 16 years coming to East Prawle), and it's a lovely…read moretraditional place. Low ceilings, with a totally unique and original layout, wooden beams, a log fire, multiple rooms, and fantastic views of the village and sea. A nice big kitchen, large wooden tables, and loft rooms with breathtaking views of the stars on a clear night :) It's can be pretty cool even in the summer so best have the heating in the evenings. There is a BBQ but we've yet to have the chance to use it due to rather rubbish weather. East Prawle is a great little village now, but busier each year. Tasty food in the local pub and cafe, and close enough to the coast for some spectacular walks!
